Press 2,enter in erecovery and restore your device
@virusman222
Your device is not a hw/spcseas C636.
Use 'fastboot getvar vendorcountry' to get your device vendorcountry.
Then flash accordingly the right region emui10 cust&preload for your device's vendorcountry.

If you already have softbricked device it doesnt harm your device to try other versions than 636.

I feel I just lost $700
Im not even sure what my vendor is on this as it happen all to quickly.

Hello,
First of all, I'm sorry if I'm not in the right forum, but on the Mate 20 Lite forums, I'm not getting any responds...
I have a Huawei Mate 20 Lite, SNE-LX1 C432
I upgraded to EMUI 10 using the sd card update method a while ago, and ever since when I boot the phone "your device has loaded a different operating system" shows up.
I searched every thread I could, even this one, and tried a lot of things, but I just can't fix it...
Every time I download a firmware for the SNE-LX1 C432 and unzip it, I always get the SNE-LO1 cust file and preload file, but I can't find the SNE-LX1 cust file and preload file anywhere.
Does anyone know how to get the right cust file and preload file?
Any help is appreciated...
Thanks

This weekend I'll try it.
Do I have to copy all extrated folders and files into ExternalSD/TWRP/BACKUPS/"YOUR_TWRP_ID"/2014-09-20--23-57-56 KOT49H release-keys?? Or only files that are at the folder TWRP 1.21.401.3??
In the folder there should only be the files from the backup
I've got it. Device remodelled and official lollipop OTA installed.
Great job once again!

Thank you for your work!
I don't think I completely understand the last bit
After this, install a custom recovey and make a backup from it.
Safe this on your PC.
If a new OTA comes, you can use this BACKUP to get the Official EU OTA.
If an OTA comes, make sure you flash this firmware before install:

Do you mean every new OTA will still be a chinese OTA?
And if the solution is to flash EU firmware then why not flash it right away? Am I missing something here?

i also have question like the other guy from page 1.
Why do we have to do this step?
If a new OTA comes, you can use this BACKUP to get the Official EU OTA.
If an OTA comes, make sure you flash this firmware before install:
m8sw_2.33.401.3_EU_firmware.zip
why do we have to install that firmware before flashing OTA? isnt the phone already changed to EU?

That has nothing to do with the issue that this thread is about. Recovery is not flashed onto the microSD card, it's flashed on internal memory, so a larger SD card won't help.
You need to learn some more before giving advice.

I received the notification but I can't see your post in the thread.
Anyway, I unlock the bootloader; I installed the TWRP recovery using fastboot; In recovery mode I wasn't able to make a backup since there was an issue: "Cannot create folder data/media/0/TWRP" Permission denied.
I tried to install the ROM anyway, since I had no useful data on the phone but then the bootloop started.
I was able to download again files for the factory reset .
I guessed the problem is root access or TWRP wrong version. Any advices? Thanks a lot!

Hello
You can test this, of course with your b390 full-ota-mf file.

Did anyone obtained root yet?
Could it be possible to use an Mate 10 Pro root method or twrp (because of the similiar hardware components)?
Someone would need to test this, but Magisk has had support for the more recent Huawei phones. In best case, you just need to unlock bootloader and then flash Magisk.

I only have an demo unit atm, but i will get my device in the next few weeks.
I guess huawei will provide the possibility of unlocking the bootloader, they're very fast with it.
Otherwise it could be working with the 'general unlock code' (fastboot oem unlock UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU).
I guess bootloader unlocking will be the smallest problem.

Isn't it mandatory to have an custom recovery to flash magisk? I don't think that the regular recovery will do. That's why i'm asking about the possibility of flashing the mate10pro-twrp. That probably work, but i'm not a pro ?
My P20 Lite is already Bootloader Unlocked, so the 20 and Pro should not be difficult to unlock.

Hi, how have you managed unlocking the bootloader ? I've bought a P20 Lite and don't know how to do this
I followed this. If like me you are using a Mac you don't need to install drivers and adb.

After unlocking it you can access eRecovery !
Do you think eRecovery will be enough to restore in case of failure with a fastboot treble system.img flash ?
I'm so tempted to go AOSP...

I would advice until we have twrp that it's not worth the risk just in case.
Sent from my OnePlus 5 using XDA Labs
One can install Magisk without TWRP and flashing ROMs and switching back to stock via adb is also quite feasible. There are plenty of guides on how to do these things in the Mate 10 forums. I guess the process will be quite similar for the P20. Of course, TWRP makes things easier .... but it must first be made available and that can take time.
Mate10 is 8.0
P20 is 8.1
But I think root will be easy if you use magisk
To use magisk we need either a custom recovery or the stock boot image, which I've had no luck on dumping yet. Anyone any ideas?
Magisk works just fine
Twrp does not. But eventually will
