I was under the impression that Voice Search (aka Voice Commands) was something you needed to download from the market. However, the built-in widget seems to do everything that Voice Search does. Does this mean that Voice Search cannot be updated if it's a system app?
Hi All
Since Google voice application is blocked in our country, is there any other android application to make google voice calls...? I do it normally from google chrome. Please help
Has anyone been able to get Google Assistant to say your name when you say "Ok Google
I've got my nickname setup, but it doesn't say my name like it did at Google I/O. Anyone know how to make this work?
Bring up Google assistant and say "how was my day"
Does anyone know how I can go about running the Alexa Voice Services SDK on an Android device so that I can use the "Hey Alexa" wakeword even when my app isn't running?
How To Run Alexa Voice App On Android SDK
Alexa app is active by listening to some magic words. Once it hears that, then the device will respond to the normal voice command, the recognition service in the cloud called Alexa voice services, which interprets them and sends back the appropriate response.
I'm looking for some way to run google assistant instead of google now when I say the moto voice wakeup phrase (Ok google; Ok moto Z; etc).
The only thing I managed so far, is to install Automagic and configure a flow that launches google assistant when the google search application runs.
The flow has some conditions, so that google assistant doesn't run when I'm manually searching in google.
Unfortunately it is not perfect, because it doesn't automatically run google assistant with the screen off, you have to say the command "open assistant" to launch it, but if it works in any other situation
I'm still trying to modify the moto voice apk to change google now to google assistant by default, but I don't know enough about programming, so it's still a long way off.
if someone manages to make this work in some more efficient way and without third party applications it would be great to know.
