low Bluetooth headphone volume? - Huawei P40 Pro Questions & Answers

I am using a pair of jbuds wireless headphones and have noticed that with the volume to max on the headphones I have to have the phone volume at nearly 90% just to get any kind of volume from them.
These are not expensive headphones and are not hard to drive and don't have the issue on my 11pro.
Any suggestions?

Enable developer settings, and there you have "direct volume control" in Bluetooth section. Try to enable or disable it. After every change connect headphones again.

Awesome!!! I had the same issues with my Airpod Pro's. I enabled the developer options but could not find "direct volume control" . On my P40 pro the option was "Bluetooth Absolute Volume" which I have enabled and now it works perfectly!!! Thankyou so much!!

Earbuds with playback controls for Xperia Z

I keep looking everywhere and failed. Does anyone know of one that can play/pause, increase/decrease volume and forward music tracks similar to the iPhone ones?
I have these ones:

However, you cant rewind or fast forward the music. Except this one, quite good headset (got them for about year)

tbh im using them only to music (poweramp, which plays music automatically whenever i connect headset and stops when they are disconnected), but i used that app earlier, it turns an app whenever something is plugged in (headset, usb charger etc.), sound is quite ok, however it's too quiet comparing to my pc's headset (creative fatal1ty, i know that it's not the same, but...)

So basically this 'magic' they call, is a simply app trigger when headset is connected?
Not a special key that you press and say out loud the name of the app you want to load..?
Thats an extra bummer :-\

I have been using the SBH50 for a few weeks and it works great. Listening to FM-Radio battery lasted about 10 hours. Pairs with NFC, charges via micro usb and the device has built in microphone so you can change earbuds. I am using Bose SIE2 with the SBH50.
that sounds amazing (pun not intended). however it is a bit too over-kill for me and i kinda have too many devices that need charging already. so i guess there is no simple 3.5mm pair of earbuds that have playback control?
Planning to get the SBH50 myself, currently using the ones that come with the Xperia Z, it kinda does half of what you need anyway, single tap on button = Play/Pause, Double tap = Play next track.

How to increase Bluetooth volume?

I've a pair of Bose Bluetooth headphones but listening to Spotify the volume is very low. How can I increase it? I've rooted and magisk installed.

I've had the same issue when using Bluetooth headphones
You can try disabling Absolute volume in Developer Settings
spotify sometimes "normalizes" volume so it may be doing that also.
in spotify settings turn off that option

Get better headphones. Or try this;

I don't really use Spotify so this may not be accurate, my volume is about the same as my s9+ was over bt, but I installed ainur sauron mk3 and my headphones got a little bit louder.

I just checked my 7 pro, and it's disabled by default in developer mode.

I tried the "good old" OnePlus 5T "trick", unpair your headphones and repair them, this fixed my issue with my aire2's as the volume was really low, and when speaking on the phone, the sound from my mic was really noisy in the other end, so now everything runs perfect!
Volume In spotify
I was having the same problem and what fixed it for me was forgetting the device in Bluetooth settings, then reset the Bluetooth device. After I paired them back up the sound hurt my ears because it was turned all the way up lol
Use viper4androidfx ? Kind of a must have for audio anyway and you can manually adjust the output in db
Ah lol just noticed the thread is old af.. nvm then
I am having the same problem. Coming from Huawei Mate 20 X, the volume is too low. Even on maximum output (doesn't matter if absolute volume is enabled or not) the volume through my Sony WH1000-XM3 is one or two steps too low compared to the Huawei.
For listening at home it is fine but when out and about in busy city, it is quite annoying.
Any fix?
I'm also seeing the same issue coming from a Note 10+, I'd say this is around 20% lower volume in comparison.

Reduce Call Volume

Hello,
I just recently got this phone and have noticed that there is a minimum call volume on the phone that I can't go below. The volume, even at its lowest setting is far too loud and hurts my ears unless I use the phone as if it were in speaker mode. I've looked around and haven't seen any kernels or modules that allow me to further reduce the call volume. Does anyone know of any kernels or magisk/xposed modules that allow me to have more control over the call volume?
Can you fix it yet? Just got the phone and having the same problem.
I have the same problem [emoji26]

Control media volume with wireless headphone buttons

Hello xda community! Is it possible to control the media volume of the device with bluetooth headphone buttons? I know that when I change the volume while having a call, the buttons changes the volume in the device not themselves. But when listening to music or watching a video the buttons change the headset volume, not the phones media... Something like media volume sync on samsung. I'm using oneplus 7 pro (stock android 10) and Sony MDR-XB650BT. Anything to change in developer options? A magisk or xposed module? Anything else? I can't find anything on the web, please help... ??
