S Pen functionality and Dual View in CM 13? - Galaxy Note 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I saw this post after installing the CM 13 on the GT-N8013 because I would like to have the s pen functionalities.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...uide-enable-s-pen-detection-cm-12-13-t3541582
The post recommends to download CM S pen Add-on. I know it's for a galaxy note 3 but I was wondering if this tablet has a similar app, too? I tried downloading but I think my tablet is incompatible, it says Access Denied. I would love to get the s-pen features. Is there anyone here that has this ROM version? Is there a way to have the S-Pen detection?
I would also like to get the dual view function but I don't know if that is possible with the CM 13. Is there a way to get dual view?
Are there any ROMs that have the S-pen functionalities and Dual View with the Android 6 version or above?

No
But their are some apps on Play store posted in the forum in answer to multiple identical questions .
CM is no longer in development .

Samsung SmartView - Tablet...where can I get it?

Hi,
I really want this app for my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1...
http://www.samsung.com/global/article/articleDetailView.do?atcl_id=15
But, it has gone from the market. I don't need a modified version or anything, just the standard Samsung apps for tablet with the latest improvements so I can dual view my TV and tab, and change the source etc....
Thank you.
Anyone know guys?
Looking for one of the earlier versions that actually work.
Specific tab version, not phone versions.

[Q] can I convince a single app I have a different device or?

So I'm currently using a samsung tab pro 8.4 and with it action launcher 3 and the Logitech harmony smart control software
Both of these software packages arentnset to proper!my display on the resolution. However I believe from research they both work properly on a galaxy tab s 8.4.
What I'd like tom do is edit some!e config file or similar for these apps to convince them I have a different device. I don't want to try and globally change it
I use but am no epxlert with android so I'd appreciate any advkce krm resources too which you could point me, alternately to know its not possible.
Thanks a bunch

Switching freely between ROMs on GN Pro 12.2

I have searched for this and I realize there are ROM managers but I'm definitely new to them. I'm expecting this to KIND of be a repeat question or something not specific to the Pro 12.2 but here goes.
I want to install CM 12 to use with my music apps for the low latency Samsung Pro Audio stuff (hoping CM includes that, I know it's a lollipop thing and it's on my Note4 which has stock L)
I want to run either hyperdrive or stock-rooted ROM for content consumption and everything else (since there's no 4-app multi window for CM 12) I'm often watching netflix while reading emails and copying/pasting between Chrome and Browser, so I really do use the 4 window thing all the time) Plus s-pen, s-note, etc.
But audio latency has been unusable for real-time MIDI keyboards and guitar amp modelling software with any ROMs I've tried so far (hoping CM will work, my Note 4's stock Lollipop works pretty good with audio stuff)
So I wanna know what is the easiest way to switch between ROMs. Ideally I don't want to manually create a full backup in Titanium right before flashing, I'm actually hoping there is something akin to "users" on Windows, where I can boot into one Rom and everything I have done, any files, any settings, all come back from the last time I shut it down, so I never have to actually back it up. So more like a dual boot. I want files and settings to be saved like they normally would. I'm guessing this would require a lot of room and I'd need to enable boot-from-sd-card if such a thing exists. I have a 128gb micro SD so I should have enough room.
I have the 64gb wifi version Note Pro (or I would have flashed the official lollipop already)
Not going to happen on the Note 12.2. What you need is TWRP with the MultiRom patch and a multirom patched kernel. It was tried for the 12.2 and abandoned. The problem is that is device has a very small user base so it does not get much development.
the problem that cost to much......

The poor man's version of this, via TWRP, is to do restore/backups of one or more roms. It really does not take long to restore or to back up an entire setup, and doing it to an external microsd is the way to make it extra safe (in case you wipe your user data in error while installing a rom the first time). I don't even have my just-purchased Note Pro in hand yet, but have extensively rommed away on both my trusty Galaxy Note II phone and Asus TF700 tablet. In the phone's case, it is a tmobile phone stuck in jelly bean (ack!). So I have the jelly bean rom in case I want to play with the s-pen and a nice Oct-O lollipop rom I can switch to. Five minutes or so and I'm good. No idea what such an approach would work like on the Note Pro, but suspect it would be faster than the phone. If you knew all this, I apologize.
Blessings.

[Q] I want to upgrade the rom of my Samsung tablet

Hello.
I have a Samsung Galaxy Note (GT-N8000). It has Android 4.1.
I want to upgrade it to Lollipop, to Android 4.4 or to a reliable custom rom. I prefer roms that are lightweight, easy to use and a little bloated. I do not know what is the best version because I have never owned another Android device.
I tried to find the roms to download, but I cannot find the official Samsung download page. It is difficult to find a reliable source that has living download links. So I need some help.
I tried Cyanogenmod and I hated it. It seems that it is only for cellphones and for that reason it is poor for tablets. I do not know what are the good things that Samsung put on their tablets to compare to pure Android. Of course, I do not like software bloat. Some people claim that Samsung adds a bad GUI to the system, but the Cyanogenmod GUI is terrible.
It has an unneeded upper bar. Everything could fit on the bottom bar instead of using two bars.
The touch keyboard has fewer options and the number keys are not independent. Furthermore, my language needs diacritics.
The menu where apps are listed cannot be managed easily. The Samsung GUI lets me uninstall apps, sort apps, move apps and create folders.
Although I do not use most of Google apps, such as G+, I need Gmail; but no Google apps are on Cyanogenmod.
Excuse me. Maybe nobody has read it. Let me try again.

Microsoft edge no fullscreen/Samsung browser in chinese

hey all,
so i have 2 problems with 2 different but my favorite browsers and no matter what i can't solve them.
the first is Microsoft edge always having the status bar not hidden when i wanna watch a video in Fullscreen. It usually worked when i first installed it, but when i had to do a factory reset on my phone it lead to this problem.
2nd is my Samsung browser. I am using a galaxy phone with a custom rom which is from china (Language is set to german) so the stock Samsung browser ofc was in chinese. That means i can't set google as main search engine but instead some stuff i can't even read, news are from china etc.
i thought uninstalling the browser and reinstalling it from play store would help but it's always back to chinese. Does someone know if there is any way to switch it to normal?
(another thread regarding this problem also wasn't answered here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/general/rooting-roms/installing-international-version-t3791542)
Screenshots for the problems are attached.
Hope someone can help me out here.
Phone: Galaxy Note 7 international version
Rom: Aurora Rom, Android 8, ported from Galaxy Note FE
TWRP, Rooted with Magisk
