Samsung SmartView - Tablet...where can I get it? - General Topics

Hi,
I really want this app for my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1...
http://www.samsung.com/global/article/articleDetailView.do?atcl_id=15
But, it has gone from the market. I don't need a modified version or anything, just the standard Samsung apps for tablet with the latest improvements so I can dual view my TV and tab, and change the source etc....
Thank you.

Anyone know guys?
Looking for one of the earlier versions that actually work.
Specific tab version, not phone versions.

[Q] Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 - Is it possible to change the firmware?

Hello People!
I am originally from Denmark but I live and work in China and this is where I bought my Samsung Galaxy tab 10.1. Now, ofcourse I didn't remember the whole google vs China government issue so now I am missing android market and general google apps. I installed android market using this guide from Technic Pages.
Also, since it is with Chinese firmware I get all kinds of stuff from their search engine Baidu and it wan'ts me to use Renren (Chinese facebook) instead of the real facebook in SocialHub.
I can see that I can download ROM's for other regions and I am wondering if it is possible to flash my tab so that it is running european or US firmware instead of Chinese?
If so, is there a way to back-up the current firmware so that in case it goes south, that I can go back to the Chinese stuff. I mean, it works, but I would rather have everything that I want.
And if this is possible, can someone point me in the direction of how it is done
- Thanks!
I have the very same problem and would appreciate your help as well.
Looking forward to hearing from you soon.
In my opinion Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 could work well, wait to solve this problem.

[Q] Hulu on an "unsupported" Galaxy Tab 2 7.0

Hi,
I got the new Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0.
I tried to do my due diligence, but it seems like the workarounds I was able to find for getting Hulu to work are pretty old, and none of them seemed to work for me.
Things I've tried so far:
Hulu Plus app (paying subscriber, works on my phone, but not supported on Tab - none of Samsung devices are listed as supported)
Via standard browser and chrome (it says that it's not supported on my platform)
Via standard browser as desktop browser
Tried downloading a modified flash player, but it won't install (after allowing in security settings, just says "not installed")
Tried libflashplayer.so, but there's no directory to put it in where the thread I got it from suggested. I made one, but it made no difference.
So, I'm running out of ideas here. If I can't get hulu to work on this thing, I might as well return it (main reason I got it is for a bigger screen than my Sensation for hulu and reading), and with none of Samsung devices listed as supported on hulu plus, I doubt that something is coming very soon.
Please help and thank you!
use Vgeezy's modded apk
I have a Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 as well and I just installed the landscape version of Vgeezy's modded Hulu Plus apk. Works great and root is NOT required.
Hulu plus for Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 and others

[Q] S-Note 2012 <---> S-Note 2014 ? multi-device sync

We have 3 android devices:
Galaxy S5 (stock)
Galaxy Note 3 (stock)
Galaxy Note 10.1 2012 (rooted stock)
I need to be able to edit and sync all of my S-Note files on each of them.
Is there a solution? Do I need to upgrade to a Gnabo-like KitKat ROM in order to do this on my N8013 10.1 in order for this to happen so I can use the newer s-note? I hear that the newer version of S-Note is not reverse compatible. Confirm?
So no one syncs? None of you start a s-note doc on the tablet, then work on it on your samsung phone, then again on your tablet? Seriously? I find this hard to believe.
If you do, and you have a newer generation Samsung phone with the current s-note legacy, how do you do it? How does that work out for you?

if you have Gnabo rom, then I think (pretty sure) you have the same legacy of s-note on all devices. No need for up conversions. If you have that, is there a reason for the synology stuff? If it was all the same version of s-note, couldn't you use any cloud service? Google Docs? Samsung cloud. What is the need for the private NAS server?
It is sounding like the Gnabo option is the only way from what I can find.

[Q] can I convince a single app I have a different device or?

So I'm currently using a samsung tab pro 8.4 and with it action launcher 3 and the Logitech harmony smart control software
Both of these software packages arentnset to proper!my display on the resolution. However I believe from research they both work properly on a galaxy tab s 8.4.
What I'd like tom do is edit some!e config file or similar for these apps to convince them I have a different device. I don't want to try and globally change it
I use but am no epxlert with android so I'd appreciate any advkce krm resources too which you could point me, alternately to know its not possible.
Thanks a bunch

[Q]: Making a Galaxy Tab 2 look like a Galaxy Tab 4

I have an old Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (GT-P5113) on which I'd like to run a piece of software (Square Point of Sale) that requires Android 4.4+ for a specific piece of functionality. That's the only real requirement they list for the software; Square says it will work on generic tablets running 4.4+, and on the Galaxy Tab 4 specifically. The software itself runs fine on 4..2.2 on my Galaxy 2 (just without the missing functionality).
With a lot of difficulty, I managed to get the tablet upgraded to Android 6.0.1, but to my chagrin the software has not enabled that additional feature. I'm at a loss as to how they might be detecting whether or not it can run if it is not basing that on the android version. I did try to change the device model from GT-P5113 to SM-T235 (and also SM-T237p) using both the settings global device_name and the field in /system/build.prop, and that has not enabled the functionality.
What else could it be looking at to figure out if this feature should be enabled? It does rely on bluetoothm but the galaxy 2 has bluetooth (and in fact a different feature in the Square software is enabled and uses Bluetooth). But of course there could just be some hardware thing it is not detecting (but then it is curious that they say they'll support arbitrary tablets with Android 4.4+).
And ideas welcome!

If you have modified everything in system to make it appear as a Tab 4 then I'd say it's probably a hardware or kernel incompatibility.
