Hello, I have a Mi 10 Pro Global version with 11.0.7 MIUI version.
Do Not Disturb mode doesn't work. If you set do not disturb, with Allow incoming calls "From anyone", notifications still sounds.
Anyone with the same bug?
Really, I wonder how is possible that NO ONE uses the do not disturb mode. Am i the only one? This is the reason i'm returning my unit....

That's wierd because I was using xiaomi.eu ROM which is based on China stable ROM and bug is still there....
I have the same problem un mi note 10 Lite. I hope Xiaomi resolve this bug soon. Do not disturb mode, really disturb...
According to xiaomi dev, this is not a "problem" nor a "bug". ... They designed it that way.
Totally don't understand who in miui team come out that idea.

I never found this problem in my phone.

Maybe because you didn't set DND properly (I mean like us).
Activate DND and allow "Anyone" to Incoming calls (not Starred contacts or anything else).
This means that EVERY call you receive will make the phone ring (just for calls).
You will see notifications will continue to sounds for every app.
If you don't have this problem, you are the only one in the world

Hey Guys,
i guess the most of u know the app "Vibrate Mode" from the Oneplus 2. And maybe u also know this app doesnt work anymore.
It seems like there is a method to get those features by using tasker, but i dont like this, since it is still buggy.
Maybe we can reach a dev, who can bring the "Vibrate Mode App" features back to the Oneplus 3, using OxygenOS and root/xposed.
I think there are really really much people out there, which would like to have the ability to change the alert slider to "all - vibrate - silent".
Since this is the only logical function imo. :cyclops:
Please push this thread to heaven, so we maybe get some dev's to work on this! :good:
Cheers!
I've already contacted the devs that made the previous mods. No reply
Use this app
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nqk.vibratemodeextended
And in settings allow all contacts in alert slider > priority
Works for me

If some dev happens to read this I'd love to have more features with the slider. For example best for me would be Normal - Flashlight - Silent etc.
Let's hope someone does this
There's already one xposed module (Alert slider) but it's old and not supporting op3.
for me VibrateMode works perfectly...

This shouldn't be that hard for a Coder, since the device sources are out :-/

Same issue. When sliding back down from Silent to All, it remains in Vibrate :\
I can confirm Tasker works, and should remedy the issue of it remaining on vibrate. I'm now waiting for a way to reverse the slider, and I'm sure a free solution will come along soon enough too.

Are you sure it works? I have tried all the builds and I'm pretty sure this build was the closest as it worked correctly. However, every so often it doesn't go into vibrate mode or doesn't restore the volume level.

Hi, wondering if anyone else has the same issue as me as in the custom notification sound is selected for individual contacts, but whatsapp keeps playing the default sound set in the phones settings for everyone and anything.
As far as I am aware I have selected all the necessary check boxes.
It does see all my notification sounds regardless of on sdcard or internal memory.
Custom notifications work fine on other apps like yahoo and Textra(sms/mms).
I've gone through all the settings but can't seems to get custom notifications to work on WhatsApp.
I have reinstalled WhatsApp but to no avail. This has been an issue ever since I have had the phone. Not just with the latest 151 update. Worked OK on mate 9. I get notifications as normal. No issues there.
Can anyone shed any light. Is this a WhatsApp issue or a phone issue?
Thanks in advance......

So for some people notifications from 3rd party show in AOD and other people just don't know how to set it up. Classic
Classic? Or just quite rude considering it's been asked how to set it up...
As in no real info for these things you cannot really try before you buy. On person saying it works, other it does not.
There isn't a way to set it up as far as I know. Should just need to install an app and it will do the rest.
Which rom base are you having issue with? On the Chinese Ron?
Which app do you install?! I'm on the global ROM I believe.
Have the same Problem, no Notifications on the AOD.... Global Rom!
Solved with the newest update! Working notifications now! ?
Is the update live? Do we get them on the AOD? Can you please check Hangouts specifically for me?
Sorry but i dont use hangouts, but i can confirm gmail and whatsapp!
On, here is my problem.
My phone right now is on stable MIUI 10.2.1.0 (phone bought in Poland). I'm using Facebook, Whatsapp any many other apps, like you all do, and I have no idea what to do if I want to have notification icon visible on always on display, but I noticed something strange. When I'm using Whatsapp app on PC, I have the notification from phone on PC, BUT if I wait a little phone will start to vibrate about unread message and then the icon will appear on always on display. This in the only way when the Whatsapp notification icon is visible.
My question in - what can I do to force Whatsapp unread message icon on always on display?
Same problem here! No notifications at all! So i'm really keen to know if some of you have notifications from e.g. whatsapp on the AOD!
Any solution for this? I'm on latest xiaomi.eu ROM and I don't get any notifications on the AOD.
Thanks!

Nope...it's a miui issue.
I am coming from a Xiaomi Mi 9 and actually I am missing the notification LED!
Not sure whether it is a general issue of Android 10 on our device or based on a lack of knowlege on my end.
I think I set up everything propperly, but neither Horizont Light nor any 3rd party app is indicating anything.
I tried to solve this issue by reading some threads on XDA already -therefore I am quite convieneced that settings are ok- but still notification light is broken.
Maybe there is any Custom-ROM with a nice solution...
pls. advice!
THX!

Jep...fresh out of the box -not rooted or unlocked yet!- Android 10 got installed.
Sure , well aware that it is beta, therefore I am asking whether it is a general issue at present, fingers crossed, that it will be solved latest with the stable version.
I did a quick and dirty install of Android 10.0.2 over 9.5.13 -and- I go no Horizon Lights to the notification.
Cleared the data and cache of the Ambient Display and no change.
I miss the notification blick i had on my Pixel.
.
Does NotifyBuddy work ? - The OP has not been updated in 6 months, which leads to to think that it does not work on Android 10.
Does a Play Store app work ? I saw one on the store and then a user said it did not for OnePlus...

I could be wrong, but I thought the horizontal lights were only working for sms messages. I stand to be corrected on thay.
NotifyBuddy works but you lose the ability to activate Google assistant by saying "ok Google".

Did you fix this issue/find yourself a solution? I know it has been a while since you posted this but the Renovate Ice rom has settings for the ambient display horizontal lighting and you can change the colors as well has how many times it pulse's.
I'm looking for a solution as well. I'm stock rooted on 10.0.2, and I've yet to see that light come on. And if it does, since it only comes on briefly, I don't see it. I may have to try that Renovate Ice ROM to get multiple notifications.

ON 10.0.2 the horizontal notifications were not working for my either, but they worked with Renovate.
I installed pulse beat and put the right settings, i think, but it only pulses once and quickly.
What should the settings be, for those that got it to work?

Seems like a pretty decent alternative. Lots of options.
Only thing I've noticed is some occasional wonkiness in unlocking. It's random so I can't pin down what is really going on. Doesn't seem to be much of a battery hit
The problem is that when receiving notifications, as you can see in the image the format of the bubble is wrong, does the same thing happen to someone?
It looks like mine.
