Warp Charging Issue - OnePlus 7 Pro Questions & Answers

Hi all. I'm having an issue with Warp Charge. My Warp charge brick and cable don't seem to work together. If I use the brick with a different cable, it charges. If I use a different brick with the Warp cable. But if I use a Warp brick and the cable together, it doesn't charge AT ALL. Anyone able to help?
Magisk v20.4, xXx 10.2, SmurfKernel 3.5.1rc19.memcg
Edit: additionally, the warp brick and warp cable combination are not charging any device at all. Is this a cable defect then? Cause I don't understand how the cable can work on a different brick and the brick can work separately but they can't work together...

[Q] OPO Charging Cable not working with OPO

Hello so i have been using OPO since a month now and suddenly it won't charge so i tried to charge it with a different chargers and they were working..
but here is the thing i don't understand..
the original charger with original cable which came with it is not charging my phone but the same charger is working with other phones so it means the charger is fine.. more over when i plug my samsung usb cable in my OPO charger then it starts to work again but i'm not receiving 2A charge from that cable..
please suggest me something guys..
btw i'm running latest cm update XNPH33R
anyone ? the charger seems to be working with every mobile.. please somebody suggest me something..
It's possible the charger is damaged and only capable of producing a certain percentage of it's original Amperage.
So if you plug in a phone that, say, takes only 1Amp it may work fine but it will break down when your OPO tries to actually use up 100% of the charging capacity.
Smartphones detect unstable/unsafe power sources and can reduce charging current or refuse to charge at all, which may be happening here. I had a defective charger too - in idle it was still providing 5.01V but it did not manage to handle any significant load.
Open a support ticket with OnePlus and have them replace it. In the mean time, I can recommend Anker's wall chargers but any charger will do.

USB Issues

For some reason my OPO will only charge with certain charger & cable combinations. The original OPO combo does not work whatsoever. However, a few cheap cables that I have that supply power only (no data) and my Chromecast cable will work with any charger. The cables that do not work seem to work momentarily; long enough to turn on the charging led for a second and the battery charging indicator on screen and almost immediately turn off. MTP and USB-OTG do not work either. Just recently I read a thread on OnePlus forums where a guy was having the same issue but he found that if he plugged his cable in very slowly it would charge. This works for me as well.. but it still does not initiate a data connection if connected to a computer. I have replaced the charging port flex 3 times.. so I highly doubt it is an issue with that. I have flashed different roms, recoveries, and kernels. I'm not sure what else to do. if anyone has any insight or info that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Just use Capdase USB Cable with any 2A Charger. Flash Boeffla Kernel and increase your charging rates. It charges so so fast!
Thanks.. but I do not believe this will solve my issue. I have ordered a new battery to see if replacing it will do any good.

Does dash cable support 30watt warp charging?

Title says it all , I want to know wether the old dash charging cable can handle warp charging at 30 watts since where I live , the warp cables cost a little more than double
As long as you are using the 30 watt warp charging block it works just fine.
I am using the stock brick that came with the phone , tried several cables but it only charges normally , finally got an oppo vooc one since I heard warp was essentially based on super vooc , it displays warp charging but charges even slower than my Samsung qc3 brick so decided to get an authentic oneplus cable , just hoping it's not a warp brick issue
The one from my OnePlus 5 doesn't support warp. Thought there was something wrong with my phone/charger until I discovered my warp cable had gotten mixed up with the dash cable from my old OnePlus 5.
Maybe it's a one off and somebody else wouldn't have a problem, but this is the issue I had.
The one from my old 5T works well
Interesting, I'll try

Yeah I had a buddy over and he rolled over the end of his warp cable with the chair and damaged it but he had his brick. I lent him my dash cable and it worked just fine, he said it was just as fast. Before that I had read somewhere that the cables were the same and that OnePlus just stamped warp on the new cable so they could charge more money for it. All the circuitry is in the block...The cables are the same.
So the dash cable arrived today and I can safely say that it charges just as fast , used the app ampere to measure and it definitely delivers the same charge as the warp cable

Awesome...Glad it wasn't your brick. :good:

Charging at 5V?

So I was wondering, can you still charge this phone with a regular 5V power adapter? Or can you only use the 10V 6.5A warp charger?
Sometimes you just wanna borrow someone else's charger when you're visiting. Don't want to carry around that huge power brick the whole time haha.
Cheers
You can use any charger.
All phones, including OP8T, can accept standard 5V USB and USB-PD
Cool, thanks!

Charging problem in my sweet

Auto connect/disconnect charger problem when I connect the charger.... please help.
Have you tried to change usb charging cable and/or charging brick? Also make sure that other device is charging fine, then use same charging USB and brick on your sweet.
