It's possible to get a discount on the Xiaomi Mi 10 on gearbest with the COUPON “GBMI10EU“ (Spain, Italy, France and Germany) and with "GBMI10SALE" for the rest of the World.
But I prefer the Mi 10 Pro. I hope xiaomi will reduce the price within the next few month.

If I was going to pay that much, I would buy one in the UK when it comes out on the 22nd of this month.

What do you think are the camera advantages of the Mi 10 Pro compared to the Mi Note 10 and are they worth double the price (400€ more), especially since the main camera is essentially identical?
The Mi Note 10 certainly appears to have a better camera set up than the Mi 10.

I don't think the camera advantage alone justifies the price difference. However, I think the better chipset, speakers, and screen (both quality and 90hz refresh rate) do justify the price difference. The cameras are basically the same
Edit: I say this with respect to the Chinese variant. The price on the global model is a bit much

The price is going to be silly.
But I can get the Pro version for £600 today from china.
But I am going to wait till the price drops as the newer Pro version is out in 4 months with a better camera.
If I buy in the UK. I get 2 years warranty and if I ever have to send it back it won't be to china.

Yes, looks like global version will be single SIM

When browsing and searching to buy the Phone i also stumbled accross the "Single Sim".
I am asking myself what did Xiaomi think there, why is the Phone so much more expensive in Germany and has cutdown specs?

This or the OnePlus 8 pro?
What's people's thoughts?

In Germany you have 2 year warranty. Gearbest offers 1 year. This is it. Official sellers in EU countries need to protect themselves from potential problems and since they offer you higher warranty, they ask more money for the phone to cover the warranty costs

But it's the china version and the only trwp for it is closed source one.

Been looking at exactly the same.
For me what is swinging it towards Mi 10 Pro is that the OnePlus 4th camera lens is basically just a gimic. There are some great camera reviews of the Mi 10 Pro which actually has 4 'useable' cameras.
My concern is having to buy the Chinese Mi 10 Pro (midge over £700 for 12/256gb dual sim) is the 5g capabilities - when it arrives in UK properly - and Wifi Calling.

I'm sure this will interest you both
A lot of people outside of China have been waiting for any news of the FDD LTE version of the MI4 to be announced. We are one step closer, it appears that it has been spotted at TENAA, which is Chinas Telecommunications Equipment Certification Service.
This means that it will most likely be available soon although, no official date just yet :good:

Hi
I'm just about to change my phone for something new. My best shot is Xiaomi Mi4. Now tricky question is: is there any alternative for that phone? My requirements are :
- around 5" screen size
- good camera with image stabilization
- internal 64 gb or SD card slot
- European LTE baseband FDD-LTE(?)
- non-plastic case would be nice

I've not cancelled the plan I've cancelled the upgrade. Reason is because i bought my n4 separate and sold my last upgrade ( sgs2 ).
Now my upgrade is due, the phones they offer me for my price plan are an upgrade to the sgs2 but not worthy of an upgrade against the n4 so i decided to lower my monthly costs and get a sim only kind of deal on a monthly rolling contract. I still get unlimited data and plenty of call and text allowance and when i get a 4g enabled phone i get free 4g included.
I also get a further discount for being a loyal long time customer
I don't think i will ever leave 3 as i have never had 1 issue with the service.
P.s i missed that last part about charging !! I think Google translate is acting up again mwah hahaha [emoji83]

Hi Brother,
Can u pass me boot.img , recovery.img and build.prop from Stock Rom ??
Thank you.
Some new news available? Still waiting day by day to order directly and to replace my N4...
I discussed with an iBuygou member and he informed me the Mi4 FDD-LTE version will be available on stock on 20.12.2014 at iBuygou.
Wil it be available in black?
if it available in black, I might also pick it up

Xiaomi has problems with black version, paint doesn't stick in steel frame.

Do u know if it will be a dual sim version ?

UK Pre-orders open today (extra 10% off for first week)

Hey,
Anyone else pre-ordered?
Just pre ordered mine, 10% for those who pre order before the 27th November, making it £629 which is a good price. Although you can buy them from the bay for £600 imported.
Still no word on release date just says December which is a bit annoying.
Also noticed its a dual sim phone (2nd sim tray used for sd card or sim) which is a nice added bonus, anyone else have some experience of how this works with HTC phones (i.e. can I use both sims at the same time for calls/texts?)
I've placed my preorder, has anyone had experience with HTC after sales support? It's either the U11+ or 2 XL for me and whilst I know the latter phone has had plenty of issues, I'm actually pretty happy with mine and am a stock/google fan anyway. Google have very good support whenever issues have come up; I've RMA'd a OG Pixel and Pixel C with no issue but am worried about buying from HTC directly. If it was via and fulfilled by Amazon I'd have no hesitation.

I've never had to use them (and have had several htcs) but I've heard some mixed reviews, some so they were really good and just swopped out the phone others have had issues.
You were in the same boat as me, but in the end the extra £300 for the 128gb pixel 2 xl wasn't worth it for me, the only big difference would be the software. I would love stock android but cant justify the price. I'm hoping something will be ported over but I doubt there will be much support for this device considering the very strange release strategy from HTC and not many people getting it.

Thanks for the reply! It's the bigger battery that's the main draw for me given my usage, though the £170 saving and dual SIM support are really nice bonuses too.
I'm hoping I'll be satisfied putting the ported Pixel Launcher on the phone, though how good is HTC with updates? I don't mind being behind Google but would hope for two years for major/flagship phones

Yer cant moan at the battery.
HTC aren't too bad with updates, for example Android 8.0 has just started rolling out to the htc u11 these past week or so. I would say they are on par with every other major OEM, but obviously not as good as google.

Strange, I'm pretty sure HTC will only have 1 warehouse doing the whole of Europe so hopefully shouldn't matter will still get the same time.
I hope we get the same time. I suppose the reason for the changes has to do with other reasons, like differences in charger plug etc.?
I asked support yesterday when it would ship - no reply yet :/
Pre Ordered one also. My first HTC phone ever.
Just perfect AND with a flat screen, what I have been waiting for.
Wish we had a date. Dec 2017 could be AFTER X-MAS
Maybe 3 weeks?
I'm from UK but I live in China and I preordered the translucent black variant of the phone here on the day it was announced, 02nd November. It was shipped out on 21st Nov and I received it today. I'll be posting pictures soon - just need some more posts here on XDA before I can post links!
So I'm not sure if it will be the same for Europe but here I received it exactly three weeks after preorder. Also the date on the back of the box says the phone was manufactured on 11/11/2017.

HTC China ship all of their products with one courier called SF Express. HTC shipped it at 5pm on 21st Nov with express delivery and I had it at 8am on 23rd Nov. Apparently HTC began manufacturing the translucent black variants here in China on 11th November and mine was sent out 10 days later from that date. Mine was, however, manufactured on 11th Nov.
Made my order on Monday too as I think current device meet my expectations and my needs more than anything else out there and would be successor of my ZTE Axon 7.
Hope being dispatched within first 10 days of December.

well usually when you buy from samsung the rest is owed so id think so...no freebies lol.
carriers obviously will offer to put it on 2 or so year plan with a specific data plan. but ive never heard of electric device companies offering leases. usualy that's the job of the 3rd party resellers to screw you over for a couple of years. but i miggt be wrong.
edit:
so there is something similar but this is evil at its best:
https://www.samsung.com/uk/samsung-upgrade/
you have to keep on paying and paying and each year you get a new device. plus you never own the device and must return it once the new one is released.
I owe $750-ish on my Note 10 so $600 doesn't seem so bad. I signed up just in case I decide to get it. However, the ridiculously high price hikes with each new itteration makes me want to go to one of the 2nd or 3rd-tier manufacturers, so, we'll see...

I will be buying directly from Samsung, $600.00 for my S10 plus or my Note 9, and I have up to 24 months to pay off the rest. Usually I paid off in 2 months, but is good to know that I have the option to pay in 24 months I'd something happens.

Details of the current lender used by Samsung in the UK can be found here https://www.klarna.com/uk/cbrf/consumer/#section-5
The only downside I can see is that they perform a credit screening on application, which can affect your credit score for other credit screenings. Not a big deal for the most part, unless you have any credit issues.
Sold my 7 Pro, picked up a cheap 3 XL for the $600 trade in. Going for the 10 Plus. Unlocked Version 5G hopefully at launch. Outright.

I just placed a "Pre Order" for Note 10+ Aura Glow with a pair of Galaxy Buds as bonus!
Delivery August 21.
The 5g version is Verizon only right? I don't see an option for unlocked N10+ 5G. I really wished the all exynos rumor was true. I can only use Verizon where I am, so I've never been able to buy an exynos phone.
5g version only comes in black?

EMUI 12

We will get the EMUI 12... Amazing news and then later i guess the Harmony OS for those who want this
A good long life for the Mate 20x 4g... Absolut amazing, 4 major updates then, since 2018
Huawei shares the list of devices getting EMUI 12
The consumer-ready version of the software will come in H1 2022. While Huawei is busy switching its Chinese smartphones to its HarmonyOS, international ...

Just seen this!
I've absolutely loved my 5G, but because thought we'd come to the end of the road in terms of updates, I've been struggling to find a worthy replacement.
I wasn't sure of the credibility on the article I saw so came here to verify.
Just the promise of this is like Christmas come early for me! So pleased I didn't get around to replacing or selling it.

I don't wanna be a party pooper, but this is not a major upgrade. Emui 12 is still android 10 as is Emui 11. Is just an enhancement to the Launcher really. As much as I like my 20 X I'm more than aware it's going to be stuck on Android 10 forever. Maybe Harmony will bring 11 and 12 eventually? You'll have no Google apps though. Sadly it will be time to move on for many.

Thats okay.
But in my opinion its all about what you want and need.
For me a stable phone is more important then any major update. And mostly i prefer a good OS/launcher vs major updates t....
Android major update is mostly a mix of different brand OS.
I have my Mi 11 ultra to, but the display is still to tiny for me, so i mostly use my beloved Mate 20X
But we will see what will come.

This is a tough phone to give up. I thought about buying the pixel 6, but I know I will come back to the 20x. I did a speaker test between the P6 and the 20x. Our phone blew the P6 away! Only thing for me is battery has taken a hit since the July security patch. I'm on 11.0.0.155 and battery is much reduced unfortunately. How is your battery now?

Agree.
I bought my first M20X in December 2018 and it died 5 month ago, fall down 15 meter
Then i bought Samsung S21 ultra, had it 2 weeks and sold it.
Then i saw a Chinese version with 8gb 256gb with a global rom on Aliexpress.
https://a.aliexpress.com/_mKGELoW
, everything is 100% like my old global version, so my battery is awesome. But if it was bad, i just replace the battery, the battery it self cost nearly nothing and we have lots of shops who can change it for me.
So i order this and the xiaomi mi 11 ultra, still i prefer M20X in most aspects, its still a power house
I'm probably hoping in vain for a proper dark mode similar to in MIUI where it gives you the option to also do 3rd party apps not just OS elements. This worked great even with my banking apps but nothing like this in EMUI.
I've tried DarQ which is a little clunky to get working and doesn't work as well.
How do I root this in 2022? EVR-AL00

Why did you cross out part of the version name? Just wondering.
