Well, I can't get my phone until friday due to some problem with att. For those of you who know fridays October first and unless samsung either comes out with a 2.2 update or an official release date by then as they previously stated they would im going to be joining the iphone crew. Cant stand this lack of support. At least with apple you know they support your device for 2-3 years. Or maybe ill just wait it out either to see what samsung does or for the white iphone.

Anyway, I'd want them to figure out what the hell went wrong with the "minor" OTA that was bricking stock phones before pushing out a major update like Froyo.

You better buy that iPhone then.
Sasmsung announced 2.2 in September for the international Galaxy S NOT the captivate or any other US variant. They have clarified this a few times. Last week, they have announced that the 2.2 update for International Galaxy S is delayed until October.
I don't think they care about your ultimatum, but you should have the facts straight before making the threat.

Just spoke to LG UK and they said this:
As far as we are aware the 2.3 Gingerbread update for the LG Optimus 3D will be available from the 5th December 2011 for open models in the UK.
So thats only for open model, mines from Orange so will be even longer.
Soon they will say that the update is delayed for January and then will be delayed again in January to February and then...
It's always the same story with LG and to be honest I really don't care anymore about the GB update, it's too late.
ICS is around the corner already and I don't see it coming to the O3D.
What happened to it being November?
I like their phones but not the way they give a firm date, finally, then change it. I get my updates about a month after release so at this rate will still have froyo in february.

Could this mean our skyrockets might be rocking an official release soon? I have my fingers crossed that At&t will get their rears into gear and push out our release before T-mobile.

Does anyone know when the late version of the note 10.1 is going to be released? I'm gnawing at the bit in anticipation! I can't find anything other than the CES announcement that it was going to be released in late January.
