With the settings in ex kernel app let's you change the vibration intensity and I was wondering if the Max or 60% or something was safe to use. Because I know it's set to 30% default for a reason I was just wondering if it was safe for the life and longevity of the hardware to use at 60%?

The default is 30% and I'm curious if 60 is still safe for hardware

Anyone have their display setting reset to max brightness after taking a picture or exit out of the camera app?
Sometimes when I take a picture with flash the phone will shutoff. When I turn it back on the brightness is at 100%.

Yes, actually. I recently noticed my brightness setting back to max often, and now I see it's exactly what you say

When i go into the camera the brightness goes to full automatically and then when i exit it goes back to my previous setting

yep, same problem here. I set a Tasker profile to turn auto brightness back on when exiting the camera app to fix it.

Tasker is an app in the market
Sent from my HTC Sensation Z710e using XDA Premium App
I just wanted to add that it also happens when the phone comes out of a low power state. So if you have your low power profile click in at say 25%, then charge your phone above that, your brightness will be back to 100%.
I am also using tasker to set the brightness to auto-adjust every 2 minutes. Tasker is $6.95 in the market (but very useful for other things too).
Have had this happen a few times. Never knew the cause, just remember being blinded in the dark, lol

I have this same issue. Driving me crazy! Thanks for suggesting it might be the camera app. I think this is true. I'm going to try to remember if I ever open the camera to go into settings and reset Auto Brightness. Very annoying, but I do seem to think its related to the camera app.

Same here. But if i use the auto brightness i have the issue that the brightness is still at 100% when leaving the cameraapp. Not funny i a dark room or outside at night
Am I the only one experience this green tint that shows up when waking the device up? Anyone else out there?
its usually the kernel your using that causes this

Well, it was happening with Kernel it came with. I've tried switching to Air Kernel 3.4.5 and it happens with that too. Once or twice it doesn't but then it happens again. What i did now is I turned off Auto mode for brightness and now it doesn't seem to be happening. Any ideas what sort of Kernel settings might be affecting this? I don't mind turning the auto off for brightness and keep it at certain level but it'll still be nice to know. Thanx Much.
If you can adjust the gamma settings this should help.

Gamma settings...how can I change those? I've been flashing and such since Jan now but by no means I am pro at all these. Any app that i use? Any particular setting I use? I am using a Nexus S. It's so weird, I have never experienced this with any other rom i've tried.

Is there a way to change the low battery percent. I think it's set to 25%, but I want to lower it.
I'm using rooted official ICS.

On ICS i can't seem to find that function at all. The phone works like normal untill 1%..
I use dropbox and it stops autouploading of photos when battery is low. It's not a big deal but I thought there must be some config like in GB.
Your "problem" is the Dropbox app. It is set so it doesn't upload on low battery, anyway I disabled the camera auto upload feature..

help please? what is the best battery saver?
Use greenify and disable auto sync. Basically no app is magic that can increase your battery capacity,
Greenify hybernates apps and prevent wakeups and disable auto sync prevent apps from updating every hour or so.

no, greenify works on ics, i'm using it on svhd
i also use battery doctor.. i dont know it works or not, i like placebo effect
I´m also using Greenify but in addition to that i use Profiles in the settings that automatically switch from 3g to 2g when i´m connected to my home or university wifi.
In my opinion a very efficient battery saver.
From my personal experience with Greenify :
Its indeed good at battery saving, however I experienced phone become unreachable while been untouched for about 3h, phone signal seems to be okay, however nobody can call me nor I can receive messages. It is barely unnoticeable since you text or call anyone, then signal seems to be refreshed.

Juice Defender Ultimate =) increases my battery up to 2 to 3x... =)
use one power guard. but it wot help that much
also if ur rooted, opt for sense roms
I'm using the app called Carat, it detects which app is using your battery. Works fine but do not expect 5 days...
It seems to be brighter than power saving mode and I wondered if this would actually drain more power than the stock control in power save.
Any experiences/opinions?
Thanks,
Joe
Lux is one of the best apps. I installed it on my devices and then also run f.lux on my Windows machines. Highly recommended.
