It seems to be brighter than power saving mode and I wondered if this would actually drain more power than the stock control in power save.
Any experiences/opinions?
Thanks,
Joe
Lux is one of the best apps. I installed it on my devices and then also run f.lux on my Windows machines. Highly recommended.

Unless you go outside.
Juice Defender Ultimate has some brightness settings that let you tune the auto brightness. You can get it a lot darker than you normally can, and change the way it ramps up and down.
I mainly use it as a way to keep the phone from blinding me in the car or desk dock at night and still letting itself ramp to full brightness in sunlight.
As long as you live under a rock, minimum brightness should work. If you do go outside, either use the power widget to quickly change settings or just use auto. i personally like auto.

And don't forget on manual brightness you can change brightness just by sliding your finger across the top.

Lol,I forgot about that handy little tool. I been chewing my kids out cuz they kept turning it up when i let em play on it.ot so I thought.
I had much more luck just long pressing the notification bar where I want the brightness. Swiping it gave mixed results.

That's a nice trick! Thanks. I had problems with the brightness not changing reliably when swiping. (User error no doubt)

I discovered it in the store, but the tf700 has already a suspension mode for the wifi when the screen is of.
Anyone use it? Some advice?
J
get tasker instead. More work to set up but a LOT more powerful. JD tended to kill my battery more than save it
Juicedefender is only most useful when you're juggling mobile data and wifi, unless you really have a regular schedule daily... I find that it doesn't make battery life worse, but I don't use it on my tablet as it doesn't affect the life much.

Every Android device has this option actually. It's just a bit hidden. Settings/WiFi now press the menu button then advanced and then you can choose your wifi sleep policy.

I'm using it all the time too. I don't need full CPU power for normal use, just for intensive work. I decreases the values for the auto brightness too. Works great for me.

No,it happens all the time, but first when I got this device,it was normal but suddenly one day it changed and since then I've been trying to fixed it but no luck doing that.
But yes it happens every time.

Anyone knows how to lower the screen brightness in ultra power saving mode??? Because high brightness is quite problematic in night..

Yeah there is no way to decrease screen brightness when you are in ultra power saving mode (UPSM). No app can do that since the phone disables all functions except call, txt and clock.
I dont find the UPSM useful, based on my experience. Observed it for several nights and it eats up 2%-3% batt, while the Smart mode only eats up 1% overnight.
