So one day I try to take a video using my stock camera app on my No-root S7 edge but it doesn't work.
The app can take pictures but nothing video related. I tried a different camera app and the video worked fine, so I figured this was not a hardware problem.
I wanted to use the video related features in the stock camera app like video collage so I decided to reset the phone.
This helped and the video worked fine with the camera stock app I started installing all my apps and after a few hours I discovered the problem returned.
Eventually I manged to isolate the problem and to make a long story short if you have this problem or know of someone who do, the problem is a clash with Audio Management Applications. I don't know if this has anything to do with the volume up and down buttoned being used to control things on the camera but once I uninstalled the apps the video started working again.
To make sure I tried 2 different apps one is Audio Manager Pro and the other is Smart Volume Control+.
With any one of these application the video feature in the stock camera app crush, uninstall the audio control app and the video works fine.
Hi all,
As xposed isn't currently available for nougat I've held off installing, but seeing as it may never happen I was wondering if it was possible to install what I would have as xposed modules such as call recording and YouTube ad away on nougat
I've heard of something called magisk but I don't know how this all works, does it do call recording the same way xposed does
Hi all.
I have an issue when I record a video with the default app on my Moto Z2 Play. I tried every mode, and on all no have audio. If I record audio with a recording audio app from Play Store, it works.
My phone is rooted and have the stock Oreo version (8.0.0). Also I installed Viper4Arise (Numbers 3.5). I not know if this caused the problem.
Regards.
Confirmed!
Viper4Arise was the problem. I restored a previous version of system image by TWRP Recovery and the problem solves. I installed Viper4Android FX Materialized v1.1 (2.6.0.5) using Magisk Manager and it works. Driver installed, audio prossesing: yes, and video recording with audio using default app.
Regards.
Now I updated to the last version (1.8.1) using downloads section of Magisk and works better with my V2A profiles.
But sometimes after reboot, V4A keeps with no processing. Probably I need to wait for finish the reboot completly before connect my headphones. I need to investigate it, jeje.
Regards.
Well, for some reason, in PowerAMP, the Direct Volume Control feature was enabled, I remember that I disabled it, but, well... Apparently now works normally, I will test it for some days.
Regards.
After few days, all it's OK.
Solved.
Regards.
Hi everyone,
I own a OP6 since June 2018, and since day one I always had a microphone bug on WhatsApp.
Every recorded audio message has a very low volume whereas recording in every other app (Telegram, Instagram, Stock Recorder) is fine.
Searching online I found that OOS has a bug with WhatsApp and Snapchat (I don't have Snapchat so I can't confirm) which lets the phone use the secondary microphone to record instead of the main one.
Has anybody found a fix? I'm now on OOS 10.0.1 root andal twrp.
So, camera app not working properly after oos 12 update. Video recording is working but not the camera. Anybody else have this issue?
no. but since upgraded to 12 recording a video has a strong microphone limiter enabled. louder parts of audio is pushed down below a threshold that's valued too low in my opinion...
try to delete data of the camera app and all related apps may be a solution.
