So one day I try to take a video using my stock camera app on my No-root S7 edge but it doesn't work.
The app can take pictures but nothing video related. I tried a different camera app and the video worked fine, so I figured this was not a hardware problem.
I wanted to use the video related features in the stock camera app like video collage so I decided to reset the phone.
This helped and the video worked fine with the camera stock app I started installing all my apps and after a few hours I discovered the problem returned.
Eventually I manged to isolate the problem and to make a long story short if you have this problem or know of someone who do, the problem is a clash with Audio Management Applications. I don't know if this has anything to do with the volume up and down buttoned being used to control things on the camera but once I uninstalled the apps the video started working again.
To make sure I tried 2 different apps one is Audio Manager Pro and the other is Smart Volume Control+.
With any one of these application the video feature in the stock camera app crush, uninstall the audio control app and the video works fine.

Just noticed my One X video capture crashes everytime I use it, the camera still takes photos but the second I hit the video button it just quits.
I've only tried to record video once before and it was fine, but this was before the update was pushed out.
It's running stock 1.28.401.9. Please Help.
Have you tried rebooting your phone?

Try Record Now!. It does exactly what you want it to do, works great (I tested it myself), and is free - that's always a plus, right?
EDIT - Just found Secret Video Recorder Free. I haven't tested it, but you might want to try this one, as well.
Post thank? :fingers-crossed:
I have an issue with my nokia 3 when it comes to recording videos with certain apps like snapchat, instagram, facebook etc. when recording the videos would be choppy and laggy(the device itself doesn't slow down) this happens when recording with both the front and back camera
when I record with the actual camera app that came installed with the phone the videos are perfect. I tried to fix the choppy video recording by going to developer options and enabling 'force gpu rendering' as I read somewhere that it helps video recording but that didn't work for me.
Does anyone have any solution?
Nokia 3 - model TA-1020
Any help or suggestions would be great

I have the exact same problem, and no-one found a solution yet. I think it is a hardware problem, and i honestly HATE THIS PHONE SO MUCH NOW
I had an issue with Snapchat crashing on a Nokia 3. What worked for me was moving the app to internal storage, external storage just isn't quick enough. Hope this helps!
Snapchat doesn't work properly in Nokia 3, TA-1032
Even I'm facing the same. But you move it to internal or external storage ,the problem remains the same.
Here, I've a strange problem. When I opt for an AR filter in snapchat, the camera freezes, but when I click a photo it clicks with a AR filter. I can't really enjoy it's feature. The snapchat camera works worst in this device.
I've contact to the developers, because these problems ariese after oreo version update, but they said,"we don't support 3rd party apps". wtf!
Actually the problem is that they pack this device with old MT-6737, in high prize. I think sometimes, why did they launch this stupid device in 2017?
So recently I was using a separate app than the stock camera app to record a video... The video is ~30 seconds long, but it freezes around the 8-second mark, however, you can still hear the audio all the way through. To make it more clear, it gets stuck on a frame, then continues the audio. I'm not exactly sure if there is a fix for this AFTER I already recorded the video, but if you know of one please let me know, the video is very important to me and I made a mistake using a third party camera app.
So I've seen this on a bunch of other phones where like it'll use the wrong microphone when you go into third party apps. When I record video on the camera app it's amazing like best quality microphone I've ever had on a phone but when I try and record a video on Snapchat where I'm talking even if I turn the volume up all the way I can't make out what I'm saying. I'm not really sure where I'm posting this because there's never a solution and any of these other posts that have the exact same problem. It almost seems like it's using the phone microphone like the one it would use if you had the phone held up to your ear.
what phone are you using?
