Yesterday I got my knew phone and unlocked the bootloader. I did this, because I want to root it (when I have more time). But today the phone downloaded Android 10 update and I installed it. After installing, the phone is "bricked" and in boot loop. I cannot turn it off. Volume down and power keys won't help. I cannot get into recovery mode either. The only option is download mode. But in download mode, the USB is not recognized by my PC. Already downloaded the newest Samsung USB driver. I flashed my old phone (Samsung S7) by Odin several times, with the same PC.
Is it in bootloop, because I installed the Android 10 update with an unlocked bootloader?
Any advice?
No advice, but I did exactly the same thing, and mine also bricked, so yeah, it seems like upgrading to Android 10 on an unlocked phone causes a bootloop. I returned mine, didn't want to deal with this on a brand new device.
Somehow I managed to make a good USB connection and flashed the Android 10 firmware by Odin. Tried the CSC_home option, but then after boot it was stuck at "SAMSUNG" screen for more than 30 minutes. Killed the phone by using volume down + power buttons. After this I could enter recovery mode and did a factory reset.
Best thing is, like you said, to return the phone. But I didn't want to wait that long
So people, be warned. Do not update from Android 9 to 10 with an unlocked bootloader!
hi everybody. there was the same situation, friends, please tell me what to do? what can I do to bring my phone back to life?

Please guys, my galaxy S2 SHW-M20K (Korean) is in trouble.
I bought it from a 2nd hand shop , and it was runing Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean (rooted stock rom). I had no problem with it till today when I tried to install "CWM Recovery", After searching the web i found a post with two files that supposedly could do the task. These files are:
1. CWM_KT_M250K.tar
2. Tegrak-Kernel-Build-39-for-SHW-M250K-UE18.tar
Using Odin, I triedd the first file but it couldn't work, and the phone could not boot so i downloaded the "rooted factory firmware" and flashed the phone. Everything was ok. Later I tried the second file. Again the phone could not boot and stuck at the logo with a yellow triangle. After waiting for about 5 minutes I tried to shut it down by pressing the power button it did'nt respond. (Now this is a point that I regret), I removed the battery as a way of forcing to turn it off.
Now my phone cannot boot. It doesn't respond to power button, neither does it allow me to enter recovery mode nor download mode. But When i connect to the charger or pc, it start charging and keeps cutting off the charging frequently. But it only allows me to enter download mode when connected to pc. When I tried to flash the "rooted factory firmware", again, the flashing goes smoothly but when the phone starts rebooting it fails as if there is a power cut. Is my battery damaged? Can someone give me a guide on how to fix it?
I need your help gus, I am not an expert in the rootings and roms,

As u mentioned, I think that your phone has gone to a Soft Brick. I don't know much about the Korean build, so Google it to solve the Soft Brick. Try flashing the stock rom via odin but I don't recommend it since it may cause your phone to be hard bricked if not done properly.
So go to the service centre, you'll get more help there

I thank you sir for responding to this. From what you have said, I think the best decision is to take it to Samsung service center. (For I have tried to google it but I couldn't get a solution). I would also like to know if it is repairable, and about the cost, is it worth repairing or should I think of buying a new phone?
I am stranded.

Hi,
i put my phone on fast charging and the phone never started again. I had seen similar problem before where after fast charging my phone would restart once or twice with the entry screen facing blown up pixels and phone acting funny. But this time around after some resarts it just wont go anywhere ahead of the first samsung screen.

I have an identical problem as above. Unfortunately Smart Switch will not recognize the device. When I put in the model and S/N manually it tells me the S/N is invalid. Samsung has been zero help with this.
I can access the download screen by pressing vol down + home + pwr, and I have reinstalled the latest update (5.1.1) which I had installed 2 months ago, but it still hangs after the restart.
I cannot power down the phone with the pwr button.
I cannot access recovery mode nor get it to be recognized via adb. It simply does not move past the first screen.
I am overseas (Indonesia) and the local Samsung Repair Center will not touch the S6 Active (despite it being under warranty). Shipping it to the US service center is unfeasible.
Any ideas on what I can do to even just get it to recovery mode? I was hoping to perform a factory reset as I (luckily!) transferred all my important docs and images/vids off the phone. I'm willing to wipe the puppy clean and start over, if it will only let me!
PS: I don't consider myself a developer, but I do have plenty of experience rooting and moding phones, and ironically, this unrooted, legitimate, Knox-approved phone is only thing that has ever stumped me like this!
Update: I managed to get it to BEGIN the recovery boot process... It showed the robot with the spinning thing for a few seconds while in the upper left corner it says "installing updates...". After about 3 seconds the screen goes blank and it restarts at the Samsung S6 Active and hangs. Now when I try to enter recovery mode it cycles through like it is attempting to start recovery mode but just ends up back at the first screen again...
im facing the same problem, anyone can help us please ?
U can't flash stock firmware over old firmware, you've gotta wipe first, and since you can't get into recovery, flash twrp and format data it worked for me, and since you don't have warranty, it won't matter unless u wanna use Samsung pay, don't flash twrp if u want to keep your Knox counter!!! It'll trip it 0x1 hope I helped
As per title, it just happened while I was using the phone while charging. Trying my luck as I'm not in the country(Australia) that I bought my Pixel from. Grateful for any suggestion that the sub can provide. Non rooted stock rom
You're only able to get into bootloader and that's all? I would suggest unlock the bootloader, a factory reset will follow. Try rebooting after that. If that doesn't work, at least your unlocked and you can fastboot boot twrp and reset that way or flash a stock rom. If nothing works you "may" have a defective device. I'm no expert but I would try those things first.
Yes only bootloader. What you have mentioned do not require recovery mode right ? Cos I can't boot into it. Thanks for your reply

The bootloader would have needed to have been unlocked already.

no it doesnt, I suggested unlocking the bootloader first, that way it factory resets. this might fix the problem, if not its unlocked so he can flash the factory image.
Bump? I'm having this problem as well.
Same here. How would we unlock the bootloader of the phone when it's stuck in either a Google screen the reboots over and over again, or the bootloader interface (that won't load recovery)? Sorry about the noob question, but I'm not sure how to do it.

I'm having the same issue. My wife's Pixel entered a continuous boot loop today. It only loads the white screen that says "Google." I can enter the bootloader, but when I select "recover," it goes back to the bootloop. As far as I know, she is on Android 8.1, debugging mode is off and the phone is 100% factory.
If anyone has solved this issue, it would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks
has anyone figured this out?? this happened to me today, i was using the phone, the poof it restarted itself and stayed in a boot loop. i can get into the recovery, i tried wipe/factory reset. any suggestions? google told me i need to send it to whatever company to get it fixed or get a new phone. verizon told me to go through insurance. insurance told me to go through verizon because i may be able to use the extended warranty. went back to verizon but they wont take it because the screen cracked a year ago. its not a deep crack and it didnt affect the phone at all, never had an issue. so now i go back to assurion and now they need an affidavit about my screen being cracked. im at a loss.... i havent rooted a phone since my droid x, then s3 days. so im essentially new again!
Same issue here. Phone starts on the bootloader (shows device is locked), but won't start recovery or boot any further.
I'm guessing it's time for a new phone? I hadn't taken the Android 10 update yet, so it was running Pie.
[edit] it's dead - won't let me unlock bootloader or switch boot slots

I had the same thing happen yesterday (not long after the Android 10 update). I was finally able to get it to boot after multiple tries and it stayed up long enough for me to enable "OEM unlocking" in Developer options. Now at least I have the option of unlocking the bootloader and re-flashing the OS with an image directly from Google.
Has anyone been able to get past this problem by reflashing the image? I suspect the underlying problem is some kind of hardware fault with eMMC, DDR, or the SOC itself.
One other interesting behavior I noticed is that the only way to shut it down and stop the bootloop is to select the "Power off" option in the bootloader menu. However, if I plug it in to charge when it is fully powered "off", it will start up the bootloop again.
Same sitution here. A couple of days after installaing it suddenly went inte a G-bootloop frenzy.
Erratic though, sometimes I could boot up (2-3/40 boots) but then it froze and started again.
Also Recovery and Safemode is very hard to get into.
Got in once or twice out of 100 boots, Bootloader Fastboot is generally reachable though.
It exhausted the battery and now I'm holding off trying to interfere, until I get more info off the net.
So i updated my phone automatically yesterday from the latest update, after it was done, i haven't been able to access my phone in anyway, it keeps on looping samsung logo and a window that says "This phone's bootloader is unlockedĀ“and its software integrity can't be verified" and so on, ive tried to enter either Download mode and recovery mode, but none of the methods seems to have an affect on the phone at all, please help, thanks
Hmm if u have PC download Smart Switch and do Emergency Firmware recovery. That should fix it totally.

Same issue here. s10e stuck in boot loop (between samsung logo and warning about the bootloader being unlocked) after yesterday's update.
So far I had no success putting the phone into recovery or download mode.
The phone was rooted, then flashed with custom ROM, then flashed again with stock firmware. I kept the bootloader unlocked because I read it was risky to re-lock the bootloader.
So, is it now hopelessly bricked?

Thats a good question, far as i know, my phone is unable to get any form of connection to the pc, not able to start up in recovery or download mode either. What i know for sure, there is a way out, we just have to find the way
Never attempt to update if you have rooted and made any changes to the system, deleted or added system apps, modified kernel, changed boot logo, etc.

So, here's how I put the phone in download mode.
I left the battery to drain completely, then without pressing the power button, I pressed the volume down and Bixby button; and only then I plugged the cable. Without pressing the power button, the phone started straight into Download mode.
Now Odin sees the phone, I'm about to flash it with the stock firmware and see what happens.

Maybe this thread helps: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s10/help/galaxy-s10-bootloop-updte-to-android-10-t4023201
It's probably Samsung's vaultkeeper that caused the bootloop.

I just wanted to give an update of how I rescued my phone and kept all the information on the phone memory intact (this was one of the challenges, as I had some photos on it).
I put it in download mode by draining the battery, then tried to flash the updated firmware. It didn't work, leading once again to boot loop and all I could do was boot to the stock Android recovery - not helpful.
So I got it to download mode again and flashed the stock firmware it originally came with (prior to the update). In Odin, I put HOME_CSC in the CSC field, to keep the phone memory from being erased. This solved it.
Hope this info can help someone having the same issue.
Hey, guys. Thank you for your time reading this. Hope you day's going well
So, couldn't find a thread for this device, but I got a Yashica TAB-X109 Android 6 which I managed to brick...
What did I do?
Rooted it using KingRoot
Enabled USB debbuging
Installed TWRP app apk
Naively flashed this image of TWRP custom recovery: https://dl.twrp.me/v500/ (I know, I'm a moron and a total noob)
Now my tablet is stuck on Android logo and can't open recovery mode anymore... It used to boot recovery using Power + Vol UP, but I tried every combination possible and nothing. Also, I scouered the internet for a stock ROM for this device, but not even in this website I can find anything about this brand...
So as of now, I'm holding a piece of garbage which I have no clue what I can do with it. Any ideias you can give me, please?
