Hi,
i put my phone on fast charging and the phone never started again. I had seen similar problem before where after fast charging my phone would restart once or twice with the entry screen facing blown up pixels and phone acting funny. But this time around after some resarts it just wont go anywhere ahead of the first samsung screen.

I have an identical problem as above. Unfortunately Smart Switch will not recognize the device. When I put in the model and S/N manually it tells me the S/N is invalid. Samsung has been zero help with this.
I can access the download screen by pressing vol down + home + pwr, and I have reinstalled the latest update (5.1.1) which I had installed 2 months ago, but it still hangs after the restart.
I cannot power down the phone with the pwr button.
I cannot access recovery mode nor get it to be recognized via adb. It simply does not move past the first screen.
I am overseas (Indonesia) and the local Samsung Repair Center will not touch the S6 Active (despite it being under warranty). Shipping it to the US service center is unfeasible.
Any ideas on what I can do to even just get it to recovery mode? I was hoping to perform a factory reset as I (luckily!) transferred all my important docs and images/vids off the phone. I'm willing to wipe the puppy clean and start over, if it will only let me!
PS: I don't consider myself a developer, but I do have plenty of experience rooting and moding phones, and ironically, this unrooted, legitimate, Knox-approved phone is only thing that has ever stumped me like this!
Update: I managed to get it to BEGIN the recovery boot process... It showed the robot with the spinning thing for a few seconds while in the upper left corner it says "installing updates...". After about 3 seconds the screen goes blank and it restarts at the Samsung S6 Active and hangs. Now when I try to enter recovery mode it cycles through like it is attempting to start recovery mode but just ends up back at the first screen again...

im facing the same problem, anyone can help us please ?

U can't flash stock firmware over old firmware, you've gotta wipe first, and since you can't get into recovery, flash twrp and format data it worked for me, and since you don't have warranty, it won't matter unless u wanna use Samsung pay, don't flash twrp if u want to keep your Knox counter!!! It'll trip it 0x1 hope I helped

I followed this links w.mobilescommunity.com/android-tips-tutorial/208463-how-root-samsung-galaxy-s-blaze-4g.html instructions to a "T" and when the phone came back on it stops at the welcome screen no matter what. I tried to install ClockworkMod Recovery per these instructions /theunlockr.com/2012/04/17/how-to-root-and-install-clockworkmod-recovery-on-samsung-galaxy-blaze-4g/ and it seemed to work as I get the OMR mode when I try to get the download screen without having it already cable connected to the PC. When I have it connected to the PC I am able to get to the "Download" mode. OI! I never have had a problem rooting before. The stock OS ICS 4.0.4 was on it and I bought it new from T-Mobile and then it did the OTA update a week ago. I have had nothing on it other than stock and a few camera apps. I have already tried to return it to OEM with the OMR recovery but its still the same, always booting to the welcome screen. When I try to get it into a mode, ether the recovery mode or the download mode, it sometimes vibrates several times and then "May" go into one or the other depending if its cable tethered or not. HELP PLEASE, I disabled and this is my only outside contact short of coming into town to use the Internet at a cafe. Thanks, Jeff

----- Did you ever get your Blaze fixed?....
pretty much the same problem i have!!! i currently have the samsung galaxy s blaze and rooted it to the custom rom from konane using the odis program, it said passed and auto rebooted my phone, but when it gets to the home screen where you touch the android to set up your phone like its brand new, when i hit the android bot all that happens is a message force closing a bunch of apps appear. i can get to the download mode to install new roms and i've tried to re root back to the stock rom but now my computer doesnt recognize my phone. i've downloaded and installed the samsung drivers from several different forums including the ones recommended here but still nothing. what im wondering is if theres a way to install the rom or driver from an sd card to the phone or something else that im missing, or is my phone just screwed? any and all help is greatly appreciated.

[Q] Boot Loop with no recovery mode

Ok so I'm new to the thread and basically to android tablets, so please forgive my ignorance if it should become prevalent.
I bought a Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 32GB wifi and had it for about one day. I performed a factory restore on the device in which it froze for about 2 hours. (this is probably the stupid part) I turned it off since it was not progressing after a long time and it booted up as a new device. After about 5 minutes of use, it randomly restarted and went into a boot loop. About every 15 or so boot screens, it sometimes boots up, then freezes and goes back into a boot loop. The longest it stayed active without resetting was about 10 minutes. After hours of research, I have done the following
Tried to boot into recovery to no avail. It just continuously pops up the device name screen
I have tried to flash the device with a stock rom in odin 3.9.
It recognizes the device but hangs at the Initialization stage. Sometimes it will give me a fail notice saying that it couldn't open the COM port
I've tried it on another computer, changed usb ports, powered on and off multiple times and nothing changes.
please let me know if i've forgotten anything. Any help will be appreciated.
Also I live in Japan, so if I can fix it myself that would be nice since this device isn't sold here yet, I'm not able to get support from a store. I'd like to avoid waiting a month sending it back to america, replacing it, and getting it sent back. Thanks in advance ^_^
Make sure you have the correct and latest Samsung drivers for your tablet.
If you have an SD card installed, try removing it and see if you can boot up and get it stable.

Wow, you rooted (void warranty) on a day old tablet on a platform that is new to you? I've been rooting Android devices for over 3 years now and have had mine for a week now without root. Don't get me wrong, I have a list of things I want that require root and it will be happening but I figured I should at least run it for a couple weeks to make sure no defects pop up before I void the warranty. Good luck to you!

I've installed drivers a few times. No go.
I'm on it now and the boot loop seems to have stopped, but I still get random restarts. But each time it restarts, it's from factory, so it doesn't save anything I download or any settings such as enabling debugging in the developer settings.

I didn't root, and I haven't voided my warranty. I can still get into download mode and my flash counter is still at 0. I never tried to root, I simply wanted to flash to stock, from stock.
[Edit] I'd also like to mention that Odin has not successfully done anything, Every time I tried to flash it was done with a stock ROM, and everything that has gone wrong has occurred on nothing but the stock ROM
Is it possible that I need a pit file for the device since no version of Odin will get past initialization? ....if so where can I get one for the this model?

I hate to agree since you would have to wait for a while to get the replacement, however the device sounds to be defective. just my two cents as a developer, if you flash anything to the device, root, a new image, or even the factory software, Knox will be tripped and the counter will go from zero to a one. My advice would be to get a replacement for the defective one.

Huge 3rd.
Device should just plain WORK out of the box. There shouldn't have been a need to flash stock to begin with.
One last suggestion, factory reset from recovery. From complete power off, hold volume up+home button+power and after a few seconds let go until it boots into recovery. From there wipe cache, wipe davlik, and factory restore. Good luck!

Yeah, it's unfortunate, but I have to suck it up and just pay the shipping back to Ameica....then again for it to come back. Just wanted to do everything I could before I had to send it. Thanks for the input though. I guess I learned quite a bit researching processes and terminology which will be helpful in the future. ^-^

Tried many times. The device pretty much gives me the finger by going blank and repeatedly showing the boot up logo when I hold the buttons down.

I voided my warrant after having mine for about an hour (though not new to Android). I did all my random "OCD does it work as I expect/want" tests and it passed, so I rooted. Had it for one week now, and I absolutely love everything about this tablet.

IMO, it will be worth it. This is my fourth tablet, and is the first one I've not had buyer's remorse with. Luckily with the gift credit for Google I was able to get the non-Tegra equivalents of some of my favorite games, too.

After doing research, I think that even if I get a new one, I want to root it. With the problems I've read about for kitkat 4.4.2 I need to know how to fix problems, and start with a fresh install of roms and know how to use custom recovery. I haven't done anything yet, but I was wondering...
Since I'm stuck in a boot loop with no stock recovery, can I flash a custom recovery to fix my issues, flash the stock rom that is on sammobile.com and then root after that? From what I understand this is a soft brick since I can still sometimes access the device. I worked out why I couldn't access the device with adb and now it shows the device as listed. It stays on long enough to where I could flash a recovery before it restarts itself. I'm not trying to do anything stupid, just getting information before I pay the shipping for it back to the states. I've checked the knox counter in download mode, and it is still set to 0, so I haven't voided the warranty yet.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
It's odd that a new device would not have recovery. I don't want to insult you, but just making sure we covered the basics, volume up+home+power gets you to recovery. The boot logo will flash about three times, make sure you're still pressing all three buttons, then let go after the 3rd flash of the boot logo then you should be in recovery. Volume down+home+power takes you to download mode, this is where you flash roms and recovery. I read in another post about someone not being able to get in recovery after numerous times, it turned out that he was hitting the volume down button instead of volume up. Just to be clear, if you do flash recovery, you will definitely trip knox, at this time there is no way around that.

I understand the skepticism. Yeah, I tried the button combination, usb in, usb out. I can power off the device completely only when it is plugged into power. When I hold the recovery combo from power on, the screen goes black with no flashing of the boot logo, looks as if it wants to go to recovery, and then then the boot logo comes up again, but just continues to the boot animation and continues the boot loop, even if i'm still holding down volume up and home buttons. It will sometimes boot up, then freeze after a couple of seconds, and return to boot loop. On rare occasions it will boot up, but turns me to setup like it's a brand new device. I can access everything for about 10 minutes, and then it will randomly restart and continue to boot loop again after that. I tried update/initialization in kies, but it would restart before the downloading and decompressing of binary could finish. It finished one time and then switch to a downloading screen (although it didn't say odin since you have to manually go there) but the update would freeze at 0 percent no matter how long I left the device there. It's all pretty lame ><

PLEASE HELP ME with galaxy S2 SHW-M250K Boot problem

Please guys, my galaxy S2 SHW-M20K (Korean) is in trouble.
I bought it from a 2nd hand shop , and it was runing Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean (rooted stock rom). I had no problem with it till today when I tried to install "CWM Recovery", After searching the web i found a post with two files that supposedly could do the task. These files are:
1. CWM_KT_M250K.tar
2. Tegrak-Kernel-Build-39-for-SHW-M250K-UE18.tar
Using Odin, I triedd the first file but it couldn't work, and the phone could not boot so i downloaded the "rooted factory firmware" and flashed the phone. Everything was ok. Later I tried the second file. Again the phone could not boot and stuck at the logo with a yellow triangle. After waiting for about 5 minutes I tried to shut it down by pressing the power button it did'nt respond. (Now this is a point that I regret), I removed the battery as a way of forcing to turn it off.
Now my phone cannot boot. It doesn't respond to power button, neither does it allow me to enter recovery mode nor download mode. But When i connect to the charger or pc, it start charging and keeps cutting off the charging frequently. But it only allows me to enter download mode when connected to pc. When I tried to flash the "rooted factory firmware", again, the flashing goes smoothly but when the phone starts rebooting it fails as if there is a power cut. Is my battery damaged? Can someone give me a guide on how to fix it?
I need your help gus, I am not an expert in the rootings and roms,
Pardon My English. It's a foreign language to me.

As u mentioned, I think that your phone has gone to a Soft Brick. I don't know much about the Korean build, so Google it to solve the Soft Brick. Try flashing the stock rom via odin but I don't recommend it since it may cause your phone to be hard bricked if not done properly.
So go to the service centre, you'll get more help there

I thank you sir for responding to this. From what you have said, I think the best decision is to take it to Samsung service center. (For I have tried to google it but I couldn't get a solution). I would also like to know if it is repairable, and about the cost, is it worth repairing or should I think of buying a new phone?
I am stranded.

Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus S7500

Hello Everybody!
I would like to kindly ask you for some help regarding my Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus S7500 phone. The phone has been locked in a network and further more, in the last months has experienced the autorestart issue. I have read other threads here (before posting this one) and I have seen that other people experience the phone vibrating and continuing to restart in the first two screens. Also, if battery had been taken out, when putting it back in the phone would restart.
After reading the possible solutions here, I have hoped that installing a new ROM on the phone might solve this problem. I have also installed the CWM-based recovery and I believe I have managed to root it. (I am not an expert, but I have managed to root before two Samsung phones after the instructions given here - everything worked flawlessly).
However, yesterday, after obtaining a successful install screen from the version Inspiration_Rom_V18_Kitkat_Edition.zip downloade from this forum, I am stuck with my phone in the CWM-based Recovery v.5.0.2.8 screen. I have tried to install other ROM stable versions from the forum but I seem not to be able to get rid of this screen.
Might I want to add that the phone escaped the former rebooting issue, the battery and the power button seem to work fine now. For example I can shut the phone down, I can restart it, if I take the battery out and put it back in, it will not automatically start. Is there still hope? Have i bricked it?
Please advise and excuse me if I have written anything stupid,
Vlad

What do you do next? It’s now gone to a downloading screen
Edit: just saw you said you have an s20, so I'm not sure if this will work, but it should be roughly the same as the s22
Also it might be a good idea to let it sit plugged in to charge some before flashing
Did you already unlock the bootloader before all this happened? If yes, you should be able to follow the root guide here.. if you want root
Or, you can use odin to flash official firmware, you can download the firmware from samfrew.com

To be honest mate I haven’t got a clue about any of this. The police took my phone and when I got it back it doesn’t load it just goes to Samsung screen and say cmdline parameters modified in top left corner.
I saw you were getting help in the S20 forum.. were you able to fix it?
Hi mate no I didn’t everyone’s help Is ace. But it’s way beyond my technical ability. So I rang a shop in my local town who can do re flash phones etc. when I told him is had ‘cmdline parameters modified’ displayed in top corner he said the phones basically dead. So I’ve just given up. Thanks for all your help
Did you go back to the police? This was caused by the tools they use to do a data extraction on your device.

I did go back to the Police but it fell on deaf ears as they out source the procedure. I take it they have ruined the phone completely then?
Police used Cellebrite UFED to extracd data from your device. They should fixed it without any problems. Phone must be in downlowad mode. In UFED tools option: Samsung Exynos Recovery. 5 min and problem solved
