Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus S7500 - Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus S7500

Hello Everybody!
I would like to kindly ask you for some help regarding my Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus S7500 phone. The phone has been locked in a network and further more, in the last months has experienced the autorestart issue. I have read other threads here (before posting this one) and I have seen that other people experience the phone vibrating and continuing to restart in the first two screens. Also, if battery had been taken out, when putting it back in the phone would restart.
After reading the possible solutions here, I have hoped that installing a new ROM on the phone might solve this problem. I have also installed the CWM-based recovery and I believe I have managed to root it. (I am not an expert, but I have managed to root before two Samsung phones after the instructions given here - everything worked flawlessly).
However, yesterday, after obtaining a successful install screen from the version Inspiration_Rom_V18_Kitkat_Edition.zip downloade from this forum, I am stuck with my phone in the CWM-based Recovery v.5.0.2.8 screen. I have tried to install other ROM stable versions from the forum but I seem not to be able to get rid of this screen.
Might I want to add that the phone escaped the former rebooting issue, the battery and the power button seem to work fine now. For example I can shut the phone down, I can restart it, if I take the battery out and put it back in, it will not automatically start. Is there still hope? Have i bricked it?
Please advise and excuse me if I have written anything stupid,
Vlad

Thanks so much! Succeeded! I have access to my phone again and it is rooted.
However, I did not get rid of the VODAFONE ROMANIAN NETWORK LOCK.
Can I also do this at home?

[Q] Is the phone bricked?????

I tried to upgrade my brothers samsung galaxy gio with a leaked version of it's 2.3.4 upgrade via "Odin".It kinda got stuck in the process and following the guide for it I removed the battery (it said to remove the battery if it stuck at a process for more than 10 minutes). After that when I tried to power it up it got stuck with an image of a phone and a pc connected with dots and a caution mark in between. For extra info recovery mode doesn't open but the download mode does. And I have tried to upgrade it a few times but gets stuck at the process named "ididb download"or something like that.
Is the phone bricked?????? Plz reply quick.
Hi,
Don't worry: as long as you can turn the phone on you should be OK, it's only a soft brick . Have you tried going in download mode again, and reflashed another ROM or even the one you attempted? Got evering right? OPS? Evering you must tick? Re-read the whole tutorial cause generally people mess up because they don't pay enough attention ^^
P.S. At least a million threads exist for this, you obviously haven't looked far before posting..

[Solved][Q] Broken boot?

Hello,
Recently (about two weeks ago) a friend of mine accidentally dropped his Galaxy Ace Plus into his toilet,
after he got it out, the phone was still on, but when he turned it off it wouldn't start up anymore.
I offered to have a look at the thing, although he already bought a new phone last week. Today he handed his Ace Plus over to me, and I mentioned that it still give a vibrate-feedback when trying to turn it on. I also found out the phone could still open in Download mode, and later I found the shortcut to the recovery (although stock's recovery has very limited options). When I went out of recovery the phone somehow started.
I went home and flashed the stock firmware of the phone (also flashed CWM and rooted the device to make some backups of data to move to his new phone), but now when I turn it off, it will still not start up when using the power button. And again, when I go to recovery and reboot the phone that way, it DOES start up).
My guess is that somehow the boot (partition?) is messed up.
I tried everything that's in my knowledge of Android 2.* phones (I've got an Sony 4.0 ICS phone myself, it works quite a bit different). I can't find a way to fix it myself, so I turned to this forums in the hope that one of you guys could help me fix his phone.
Regards, Drago
ALSO: to add, does flashing kernels work the same on these phones? Like, via fastboot with command line? I might want to try to re-flash stock kernel, hoping it fixes the boot.

Try flashing some custom rom in recovery mode.
or try flashing stock rom using Jtag.
If nothing works then you should go to service center.

Thank you, the first method indeed solved the problems.
I flashed the "Slimbean" ROM that has actually been released today, haha.
After that I restored a CWM Nandroid backup I created before flashing the ROM. The phone now starts normally.
Thank you very much.

[Completed] [Q] Help needed with Galaxy (SME500H) CWM Recovery

Hello Everyone,
I am very new to the android developing and modding but I do have a basic idea of coding and know my way very well around linux. My problem is that I have a Samsung Galaxy E5 series phone (rooted) and I tried editing its build.prop to optimize battery and 3g speeds. I made a noob mistake and did not take any backups. But in my defense I do not have any custom recovery like CWM etc. installed . So a backup would be not much of a help at this time. So now my phone is stuck in the stock recovery mode which has very limited options. I searched on the internet/this forum but could not find any CWM/TWRP recovery for my phone.
I am willing to make my own CWM recovery using source but since i can not switch off the phone (non removable battery) , it is just lying there. And compiling a new recovery would take much longer time for an amateur like me. What I am asking here is , if anyone can help me with my situation by compiling a CWM recovery. I was searching the documentation earlier and I do have recovery.img and boot.img from the stock rom. My android version is Kitkat 4.4.4. Firmware version : E500HXXU1AOB2 but on the recovery it says : KTU84P. E500HXXU1AOA6.
I am so confused. Any help would be appreciated.
To the mods: Sorry if my thread is in the wrong section. Please let me know if I made any mistake.
I don't know about all the rest cause I have limited skills in compiling but hold down power button and keep holding it down and phone should turn off if that's of any help, good luck

Thank you for replying banjomike. I held down power button for almost a minute and during that time the phone kept vibrating every five seconds or so. The phone is stuck at the samsung logo and just won't poweroff. I tried every button combination I could think of. I don't know what the hell kind of phones they make these days.
I am going to download stock firmware and flash it via odin. Lets see if that helps me.

Hi,
i put my phone on fast charging and the phone never started again. I had seen similar problem before where after fast charging my phone would restart once or twice with the entry screen facing blown up pixels and phone acting funny. But this time around after some resarts it just wont go anywhere ahead of the first samsung screen.

Download Smart Switch (Kies for newer phones) on a computer, and use the option Emergency software recovery and initialization.

I have an identical problem as above. Unfortunately Smart Switch will not recognize the device. When I put in the model and S/N manually it tells me the S/N is invalid. Samsung has been zero help with this.
I can access the download screen by pressing vol down + home + pwr, and I have reinstalled the latest update (5.1.1) which I had installed 2 months ago, but it still hangs after the restart.
I cannot power down the phone with the pwr button.
I cannot access recovery mode nor get it to be recognized via adb. It simply does not move past the first screen.
I am overseas (Indonesia) and the local Samsung Repair Center will not touch the S6 Active (despite it being under warranty). Shipping it to the US service center is unfeasible.
Any ideas on what I can do to even just get it to recovery mode? I was hoping to perform a factory reset as I (luckily!) transferred all my important docs and images/vids off the phone. I'm willing to wipe the puppy clean and start over, if it will only let me!
PS: I don't consider myself a developer, but I do have plenty of experience rooting and moding phones, and ironically, this unrooted, legitimate, Knox-approved phone is only thing that has ever stumped me like this!
Update: I managed to get it to BEGIN the recovery boot process... It showed the robot with the spinning thing for a few seconds while in the upper left corner it says "installing updates...". After about 3 seconds the screen goes blank and it restarts at the Samsung S6 Active and hangs. Now when I try to enter recovery mode it cycles through like it is attempting to start recovery mode but just ends up back at the first screen again...
im facing the same problem, anyone can help us please ?
U can't flash stock firmware over old firmware, you've gotta wipe first, and since you can't get into recovery, flash twrp and format data it worked for me, and since you don't have warranty, it won't matter unless u wanna use Samsung pay, don't flash twrp if u want to keep your Knox counter!!! It'll trip it 0x1 hope I helped

Help for my SM-P900

Hi everyone,
I'm hoping that someone can help me out with my device. I have a rooted sm-p900 that was working fine until a month ago when I tried to flash [ROM][7.1.x|SM-P900| Unofficial LineageOS 14.1 (v1awifi). I was busy multi-tasking and made the stupid mistake of flashing the rom before updating the BL. Since trying to do so, I have not been able to get past the first screen that says "Samsung sm-p900" . After the logo disappears, my screen remains lit but is just black.I could not restore my backup after either.
Where I am now:
- I can still access and use T.W.R.P. (latest 3.1.1) (If TWRP is left alone for too long, the device will reset to the same black screen and hang forever. If flashing a rom is taking long, the device will restart mid-flash as well.)
- I can still access download mode and use odin as well.
- I have since flashed the appropriate BL but that has not changed anything.
-I have tried clean flashing a magnitude of different roms and still come across the same problem.
I honestly have no idea how I can fix the device and have tried everything I know how. I would love to get it back as soon as possible. Any help is greatly appreciated, so thank you in advance!

Have you tried taking it completely back to stock via Samsung Kies on your PC?
Sorry I don't have complete details, but it goes something like this (and if you search this site or Google, you'll find a good write-up on how to do a complete recovery using Kies):
1. If you can, make a backup using TWRP - if not, you are going to lose everything because of the next steps
2. Download and install the Kies software from the Samsung site and install it on your PC (I grabbed both versions, can install both on the same PC at the same time)
Make sure that it installs the Samsung USB driver
3. Connect to the tablet using the OEM cable - if you get a reaction from Kies, great
4. Somewhere in the Kies menu, you can tell it to do a complete recovery, including bootloader- if I remember correctly, you'll need your serial number (Sorry, been 18 months since I did just about the same thing and was able to recover it from my FUBAR, and I no longer run Windows so I can't step thru it)
It will go through downloading and flashing your tablet back to the state it was when you pulled it out of the box.
If you get to that point, you will have to go the whole route (including loading TWRP) to get it back to Lineage. It took me about two weeks to get it back to the way I had it before I was flashing and reading a book and talking to my wife all at the same time and didn't pay attention to what I touched on screen.
I apologize for the rambling and not having definitive statements, but I'm drugged up and been awake for the last 36 hours, and at my age that isn't a good combination.
Thank you so much for your help! I couldn't end up using that method because kies would not recognize my device for anything. It did get me inspired to try fixing it again however and it worked!
If anyone ever encounters the same or a similar problem, I just tried re-rooting it using odin and cf's autoroot file. It allowed me to be able to install roms again.

Try updating the bootloader again using odin
When this has happend factory reset
Flash the rom, addonsu and gapps in the same TWRP session
The rom should work then, I've been happily using it for about 6months now
