If you unchecked the Auto update setting how could the apps update automatically. Ok check it like this: tap the 3 dots in the right top corner and go to settings. Check if you have ticked "Auto update apps" or "Update over WfiFi only" options.
If this doesn't work then tell me. I'll suggest you something else.
There's a specific toggle for individual apps to allow them to auto-update, too. Might check that as well. If that doesn't work, try clearing the Play Store's data (wiping all preferences), open up the Play Store, and then wait a while (up to a few days, depending on what number of apps you have installed and how active their developers are ) and see what happens.

The only options I have checked are the notification of apps and games I have downloaded and the Google Admob. As for the individual apps I never check the automatic update box. I will try the other suggestions made by others here. Thanks everyone
Hi all,
I am using Android 10 GSI on MiA2L as a daily driver and i menages to fix almost all bugs that were bothering me, except one...
Please check the screenshot, and you will see this ROM has a weird, out of place setting for "phh Treble Settings", and it is not correct size, icon, or anything.
Can i somehow remove it altogether, or just move it all the way to the bottom? Its mocking me every time i open settings and it's driving me nuts.
I tried installing edexposed trough magisk since i know from before that "settings editor" module exists on it, but both variations edexposed gave me bootloop no mather what i tried...
I am ofc rooted, open to any suggestions. Thanks!
Pic here, could not attach for some reason...

Hello
I bought Mate 30 pro 5G LIO N29 three weeks ago and I been having really annoying issues with push notifications from lot of list of apps, its actually weird that there's just Whatsapp and other Huawei apps have push notifications working but not for so many others.
I sideloaded apps and they all up to date, I made sure the app have all permission needed, app launch is set to manual and everything is active there, in Battery optimization I set "Not allowed" for these apps, I enabled "Stay active when device sleeps"... I dont know what else I can do there....
so apps list is what I can actually remember now: Skype, Discord, LINE chat, SofaScore, LiveScore, Amazon Shopping, Reddit, Twitch, and few more....
So while I have these apps running, I can get notification while using them, but the moment I go to home screen or just lock the phone, its absolutely dead. and nothing work at all, except Huawei apps and whatsapp, I even restored my phone factory settings couple of times and installed only Skype just for testing but still no push notifications there
Phone is is updated to this day, Android 10 December 1, 2019, EMUI 10.0.0.192 patch02
if someone please could help me figure this out.... I would really really appreciate it <3
I read that you have sideloaded apps.
One question: Have you sideloaded GMS?
Quite a fine bit of apps, depends on GMS for push notification.
After sideloading GMS, allow all permission for google play services and set "not allowed" in battery optimization. Other apps you can leave them as "allowed".

Man, I would never ever thought these apps would need GMS in order for them to have push notifications working, I just sideloaded GMS and everything working fine! didn't even need to do any of battery optimization or app launch stuffs at all, Thank you so much, I really appreciate it! :good:
It would really suck if you cant sideload GMS on this phone, apparently too many apps depend on that.
I have side loaded Google services, stopped battery optimisation for apps and manual launch as well. But still not getting notified from alot of apps. ?

Notification fix from 4pda forum
To the necessary application: a) give — all rights, and b) allow, for it — all notifications, in “Settings”; 2) Put the necessary application, under the “lock”, in the background (in “Running applications”, pull the shortcut of the Required applications down and let go);
3) Launch of the Required application — disable automatic control, launch only in manual mode (for it, activate all three “check-boxes”: 1) Autostart, 2) Indirect launch, 3) Work in the background), in: " Manager ">" Launch applications ";
4) "Settings"> "Applications"> submenu "More"> "Show system"> "Google Service Framework"> "Rights"> "Other rights" and activate the items: "View instant messages" and "Add instant messages";
5) "Settings"> "Battery"> "Other battery settings" - turn on WI-FI and data transfer when the screen is off and in sleep mode (for work, in the background);
6) "Settings"> "Applications"> "Required application"> "Traffic statistics"> Turn on "Ignore data traffic" (bottom);
7) "Settings"> "Wireless networks"> "Traffic statistics"> "Smart traffic saving" - disable;
8) For the desired application, allow to ignore battery optimization (in the "Special Access");
9) Power saving mode ("Settings"> "Battery") - disable;
10 "Settings"> "System"> "For Developers" -include: "Permanent data transfer";
11) Make sure that the desired application is not in the list of "inactive applications" ("Settings"> "System"> "For Developers"> "Inactive Applications"). Change its state (on-active), if necessary.
Looks like it's working method...

hi the procedure do not remove the error in notification push tester for register..
If someone works for you, I would appreciate explaining what else you have done, thank you very much
I have got mate 30 pro. I installed gms. but I dont take notifications apps. Please help me. I installed a lot of gms but not working push notifications
Did you ever find a solution for this?
There was no solution for this miserable problem, Many apps including WhatsApp just goes to sleep after a while.
I almost risked something extremely crucial as I didn't get a WhatsApp message delivered to me on time. Gave up on the phone the next minute and switched back to a less-complicated phone.
Freeze Google framework and use alternative app store and you will get notifications back.

Thanks a lot for the responses guys, What's your setup ?
GMS / Non GMS / Micro G ??
Any response is much appreciated !
Tried using 11.0.10 (Aug security patch)
----
Go to Settings
Apps and Notifications
See all apps
Select menu at top right
Show system
Search for "settings suggestions"
Tap it to open
Storage, clear storage.
It works for me to remove the Pixel Suggestion, but in https://c.mi.com/thread-3275261-3-1.html forum, few users reported new popup 'Add Email Account' appears.

it works
Didn't work, now the Email card is there. Damn... This is bugging.
Did you all factory reset android 10 until now or for those who worked never resetted their device?
thanks!! ,
it seems to work!!!
Nice one!
But now i have: Add another email account wtf...
I did not reset so far. I took a gamble there and it works. I was one of the many people who got stuck at 11.0.2, did a manual flash to 11.0.4, then did subsequent update via OTA.

[Guide] [Magisk] How to Enable Google Call Screening on "Unsupported" Devices
This should work on any device that is able to replicate the instructions here, there may be some things that I forget to mention that have an effect on if it works, just report back and I will try to add more details.
Tested on my OnePlus 7 pro, with everything updated, no special app version for Google Phone or anything like that
I take no responsibility for anything that happens with your device, although this should all be relatively safe and reverseable.
You must be rooted with Magisk, this is mostly done with modules that are available on the official repo.
1. You will Need these Magisk Modules installed
App Systemizer
Google Dialer Framework
MagiskHide Props Config
Google Call Screening or if this doesn't work you can just edit the prefs xml manually with Prefedit . If you do use this module you will also need:
Busybox for Android NDK.
2 I just realized this part was an exact copy of the guide over at gadgethacks[/URL] , and they did a way more detailed job than I could do, so credit where it's due.
Summarized :
Google Phone should be installable from the Play store after a reboot, if not try clearing Play store storage, if that doesn't work, try clearing Play services storage, if that doesn't work, try installing it from Apkmirror.
Systemize Google phone according to the Systemizer, gadgethacks really breaks this down, you need a terminal emulator, and you do a "su" command, and then a "systemize" command, and its pretty straightforward after that, just find it and select it and reboot. I think you might want to disable your stock dialer in your settings as well.
Make sure Google phone has all the permissions granted and is set as your default spam app (Search for spam in your phone settings).
3. Now for the new part, as the one on gadgethacks doesn't work anymore.
Open terminal emulator again, run a "su" command, and a "props" command.
Select device simulation, (You might have to enable it first) and navigate through the menu, to Google Pixel 4(XL). You might have to go all the way back to the main menu, as it only applys half the props, and go into device simulation again and apply all the props ( I skipped display.id as I don't know if that would mess up anything, and I didn't need it).
4. Reboot. Now just wait a little, clear Google Phone Data, Play Services Data (Don't know if this is necessary). After a bit you should be able to go into Google Phone settings and it should say call screen there, I think you need to be on WiFi for it to enable, and it takes a bit, I had to wait for a while and then it started working.
In for later
Currently on OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren 5G TMO, running AOSiP, and the option shows up. But upon trying it, caller cannot hear a voice and no transcription shows up on my end. Using app from play store.
What version of the Google dialer are you using?

Latest available on the play store.
Thanks this worked for me on OnePlus 7 Pro on latest beta firmware.
Funny. On my OP7Pro, after following the instructions and enabling call screen successfully, I disabled the MagiskHidePropsConfig module and Call Screen is still there, even after a reboot. I'm guessing it will go away if I clear the phone and maybe Google Play Services app data...
Edit: Nope. Thought disabling PropsConfig was okay but Call Screen went away later on. Oh well...

Thanks for this quide - although I'm a bit confused as I haven't done any props simulation before.
I've enabled simulation by setting the phone as my OnePlus 8 Pro (INC2023) and have enabled all of the props, but I'm unsure of what you mean by 'and navigate through the menu, to Google Pixel 4(XL)'.
The only way I can find the 4XL is by changing my device fingerprint, is that righjt? (I have tried that, but the screen is set to the lowest brightness and can't be changed and the call screening option doesn't appear in the Phone settings). I've changed back to my IN2023 and its functioning as normal again.
Thanks again
You need to set your phone as the Pixel 4 xl. Your screen might be acting up because of the screen ID property, which isn't necessary to change. See the attached screenshot in the OP.

I checked and it looks fine to me, am I missing something?:
https://imgur.com/a/DCZYgm9
That looks right, but according to your first post I think you might be simulating your own device, you need to simulate the pixel 4(xl)
Sorry, I meant that in order to enable simulation I had to set up the initial fingerprint so I set up the op8p, from there I enabled simulation and then set the props as the pixel 4 XL.
On the main screen of the module, in the terminal, select option 1 ( edit device fingerprint) should look like this. If not change it within the submenus.

Ok so I just had the fun of going through each of the props parameters to see which one(s) caused my screen to dim. 3, 8 & 9 need to be disabled, else the screen goes dim.
I've just cleared the phone and play services data and now waiting to see if call screening appears..
Or do you think 3 and 9 need to be enabled?
It's not looking like the option is going to show..
I think 3 probably needs to be on.
Ok, I've enabled 3 just to see if it appears, just waiting to find out. Does it matter that I'm in the UK and it wouldn't normally appear if I had a pixel?
