Have you checked permissions for Android Auto and Google Maps/Waze?
At the very least, storage and location.

Permissions seem fine. Maps pull up. I enter a search and click on navigate. It either times out or it doesn't navigate.

[Q] Cyanogen Mod 10 Turn by Turn directions/Navigation

Hi all,
I have a verizon galaxy s3 and I flashed cyanogen mod 10 stable version (11/13) today. I tried navigation, and for some reason it just keeps saying searching gps.. and can't seem to locate it. I have also tried liquid jelly bean rom and the same thing happened. I am new to roms, so does turn by turn directions/navigation not work on roms for galaxy s3? the phone can pick up my location in google now for example (because it gives me weather for the correct location), but i can't seem to do navigation. Please let me know if there is a way to fix this.
Thanks!
In settings make sure you turn on all the stuff in location access and under applications clear data for maps.

It should be something with the settings in GPS, I think it's the last option in the location settings and you should be turning on the option for "internal antenna"

Google Maps not detecting Location

Hi guys,
Google maps is not able to detect my location when not on wifi. It thinks I am where my home is (shows a grey dot instead of blue when locating).
I am using GPS in high accuracy mode, google reporthing is enabled and I used another app to detect my location and it works so I am not quite sure what is going on..
Any idea?
Cheers

The GPS antenna might be loose. You can test the GPS itself with Device Only mode to see.

Had the same problem a while ago because I changed the location permission settings with App Ops X for Google Services or something.
If you haven't hacked permissions ignore this post.

Location services defaulting to my house unless I toggle location services on and off

Hello All,
On both my wife's and my Tmobile S7s running 6.01 on the November security patch, the location services are terrible. The phone keeps thinking I am at my house when I am 20 miles away at work. My wife has the same problem. If I toggle location services off then on, it instantly updates to the correct location. Eventually if defaults back to my house. This wouldn't be such a huge deal if I didn't have a SmartThings home automation system. SmartThings keeps unlocking my front door, turning on lights, and putting the heat back on because according to the phone I am at my house and the automation kicks in. Here is what I have done to try to fix the location issue:
- Location on with method = GPS, Wi-Fi, and mobile networks.
- Improved accuracy on with Wi-Fi scanning and Bluetooth Scanning enabled.
- Under Optimize Battery usage, I have unoptimized Location Services (meaning it should always be running).
Does anyone else have this problem with their S7s? If it were jsut mine, I would chalk it up to a faulty device, but it is happening to my wifes as well. Any other tricks to make this stop happening?
It's just you.

Well thanks for being super helpful. But its not just me, it is also my wife's S7 so maybe other people are experiencing the same issue and have work around. But I appreciate you adding so much value to the thread.

If you open up Google Maps, it shows us at our house on the map. If we cycle the location toggle on the quick link bar while on the map, it then updates to where we actually are. The home automation application is just effected by the location services being inaccurate.

Do you have developer settings enabled? If yes, check that mock location setting is disabled.

You are not alone. I have a same problem as well. Mock location is disabled and thus also happens right after factory reset as well. I'm starting to think this may be a hardware issue.

What is org.codeaurora.btmultisim?

I am using an app called My Data Manager to try and track down something using crazy amounts of data on my device. It has shown org.codeaurora.btmultisim use over 1gb of data (wifi and LTE combined) over the last 24 hours.
This is 85% of my usage and is the only thing on the app that I have no idea what it might be. Does anyone have any tips on what it is or what might be using it?
Thanks!
In not sure what it is but been checking it out might be Best to uninstall as this is what i have found on

I don't have any option to remove or disable. Only FORCE STOP. It's not using any storage and barely any memory -- but I feel like something is controlling it or using it to transfer data.
Package disabler Pro from the play store will be able to disable it

I disabled it, rebooted and it's still showing up and using data at a crazy rate.
