1. Very good selection of sounds! One of the best available on Google Play. Congratulations!
2. Some sounds are stopping while looping (maybe a better cache of the sounds?)
3. I miss a volume control on the screen.
4. I also miss the ability of using night images (dark) or even no image at all (battery friendly)

The loop is not perfect. The music stops for 1 second and then restart, but it's noticeable that it's not continuous.

Some similar apps show a slider on the screen where you can control the volume instead of using the physical buttons.

The images have bright colours and if you take the phone at night to adjust or change the music, the light could be intense. A dark background (that is also present in other similar apps) will just show the controls and info, without the intense light (even for some seconds).

I just found this Soundify app on the market.. I guess by the same people who did the one for making Transformer noises when you attach/detach the dock?? Anyways, it does that and more, letting you configure noises for tons of notifications, from Star Wars, Star Trek, Transformers, etc or add your own sounds. Not free but worth the money for me!
What about me?
Hey, you found my new app shamwhich! Thanks for the shout out.
It's true that it is not free (even for Optimus himself). I have to provide some cover for spending so much time on the computer away from my day job with my wife and the promise of additional income gives me some leeway.
Do you or anyone else have any ideas for new features I should add?
Right now it supports:
* Tying sounds to a number of notifications, including:
** low battery
** screen on/off
** keyboard connect/disconnect
** keyboard slide in/out
** device unlock
** Power on/off
** Charge connect/disconnect
** camera button pressed
** media button pressed
** headphone connect/disconnect
** and some other (to me) less useful ones
* Individual volume override for each notification sound, or allow system volume to control it.
* ability to set your own sound file!
* As Shamwhich said, sounds from:
** transformers
** star trek
** star wars
** harry potter
* Notification of running service can be hidden.
hmmm
how about sounds from comic movies. Batman, Wolverine, stuff like that? Or battlestar galactica?
Also, it would be cool if, instead of changing the volume of everything for the duration of the sound to the configured value, it muted everything else for the duration, and just played the notification sound at the desired level. A minor thing I noticed, but if it is easy to fix would be nice to have.
yeah, that all sounds reasonable/doable.
I should have posted my app in here a long time ago. But I guess it is never too late to post it and hope for some good feedback on how to improve the app even further.
What does SleepTimer do:
It simply gives you a way of stopping your music after x minutes. Set it, and listen to music (or a video) in the evening without having to worry about the music running at 3am and waking you up from your sleep. SleepTimer lets you even do more like turning off wifi and/or mobile data after it turned off the music so you do not get interrupted by those annoying WhatsApp messages .
Scenarios
1. Turning off music after falling asleep
2. Turning off remote music like iTunes Remote, YouTube over ChromeCast, ... (needs some configuration)
3. Like fall asleep while talking with your love but hate high phone bills? Let SleepTimer stop the phone call (needs some configuration)
For most use cases SleepTimer just works. Open it up, set time, start. Done. And it even looks nice (at least I think so).
Only like 6% of the apps need some additional configuration to make them work.
More details (only for those who want to know/read more)
The app uses many different techniques to turn off the music. Audio controls, audio foreground, and even notifications since the newest version. Sadly there are some really bad music players out there that do not support any way of stopping their music except for opening the app and using the stop button in there. In such cases there is only the way of lowering the volume (which I hate ). I hope those developers get to work and implement a proper Music Player. Luckily most apps work though.
About notifications (new since October 2014)
This I am actually pretty proud about and took me a while to implement. And it gives us two new features.
1. Stop music using the notification
So if they have a pause/stop/close control in the notifcation, one can add a custom action in settings, select the app and click on the button in the notification that stops the music. SleepTimer will then use that button in the notification to stop the music. That allows more ways to stop an app and allows to stop apps like iTunes Remote, YouTube with ChromeCast, ...
2. Wait until the end of a track
If enabled, SleepTimer will not turn off the music immediately but wait until the track ends. This is done using the text content of the notification. As soon as the text in a notification changes SleepTimer knows that the track is changing and it will send a stop request immediately. (As well it ignores numbers like 3:12 which is obviously not track information but time information)
Shake extend
If enabled, you can extend the timer by shaking your phone. So you can set some quiet chime to run one minute before the timer runs out. If you can still hear it then just shake to phone to extend the timer.
Root
One can enable root in advanced settings to have even more options when the timer ends. For example turning off the phone or turning on airplane mode.
I hope you do like the app. If not, let me know why. If you have any recommendations or questions, please just ask. As well any ideas how to improve the app further are welcome.
Cheers,
Patrick

Does it support all music & video players? Or only stock players?

It supports a lot of music and video players. Basically all of them that support the events of Android that good Audio Player apps should support according to Google Many players I tested (Stock, Google Play Music, TuneIn, Spotify, YouTube, ...) worked. And even if they don't work by default, try out adding a custom action in settings in on sleep actions.
Is is possible to turn off the device after x minutes?

Yes it is. But only if you have a rooted phone. If you do, then enable root in the advanced settings and then go into the On Sleep Actions settings where you will find the turn off phone option .
I think it would be great idea to add some notification with countdown(few seconds), before phone shutting down.
This is a really neat app! All the other sleep timers I tried didn't feature root options like airplane mode etc. Thanks a lot!
Just a little request: Could you add a screen off option as well? I mean sure, the device will turn off the display afterwards by itself, but I thought it might be useful.
Continuous sleep mode
Hi
I would like to know if the app can be configured so that if I fall asleep with earphones on and wake up and press the play/stop button on the earphones, theaudio I was listening to continues, but is automatically in sleep countdown mode without having to start Sleep Timer again.
This is the way the sleep mode in Smart Audiobooks works and it is very nice.
Thanks.

Dingless is the stupidest, simplest, yet highly effective android app. it has three options for free,
1) Turn off notification when screen is on, and restore them back when screen is off. Well, Who needs extra disturbance while chatting, watching youTube or playing a game?
2) It combines consecutive sound notifications into one if the screen is off. You can define the time frame for this combination. So you will be receiving 1 notification every 30, 60 or 90 seconds. No more sounds rush when meeting your friends or having a dinner.
3) Turn off sound notifications while playing music from your phone or streaming from your favorite channels.
Try it out

Vibrate mode coming soon..
Dingless Added 3 Languages:
- Spanish
- French
- Russian
- More coming soon
best app!
Vibration & Music Mode
Dingless has added 2 new features, eliminate the vibrations along with sound notification either while screen on or in rest mode.
Additionally, Dingless has added the Music Mode feature, where it will silence your notifications when you are playing music from your media player or streaming from your favorite apps like SoundCloud, Spotify, Pandora, etc..
I am looking for a solution to solve following problem. As I am only an Android User and haven't a clue of programming, maybe someone can help, at it's best to give a hint to an app.
Problem:
- In my office it is very quiet, but the notification and ringtone is to loud on value 4 (on a scale 0-7).
- On the street/restaurant/party the notification and ringtone is to quiet on value 4
- Having the Mobile in pocket it is always to quiet on value 4
- On some scenarios the ringtone is to loud, the notification to quiet ...
I think you know what I mean
I don't want to change the volumes everytime on different scenarios.
Come on, don't tell me there are apps on the market where you can create Sound Profiles like Nokia Style ... thousand years ago. It was a good feature ... but not automated. I also don't want something which detects different Zones (WIFI, Bluetooth Scenarios), or have Time Pofiles. All these apps are unable to detect ambient volume.
Since Lollipop or Marshmallow Google changed their strategy and combined ringtone and notification to one adjustable soup ... why????
The IntelliRing app was working quiet well, smooth in background, in the past and I miss it so much.
Detects ambient sound level by internal Microphone and increases or decreases the volume, detects by brightness by sensor, if Mobile is in a pocket or not and increases volume. It was perfect and easy to use. In some forums and around the world some people looking for exactly the same solution than me, so thanks god I am not the only Android user, who wants to make daily usage automatically more comfortable.
Is there someone out there, who might would work on an app to bring these features back to working? I think there will be thousands of people who would install and pay for it ... only 10k people and it could be some good money to earn, or? So, Developers, what are you waiting for?
IntelliRing ([email protected])
Intelligent Ringer ([email protected])
Perfect Ringtone Volume ([email protected])
RingDimmer ([email protected])
are some examples for antique apps and I am sure they were doing their job in the past, but on Nougat it is a **** ...
It is an idea and maybe some developers are interesting and worth a try working on it ... I would defintely do, but w/o any experience in programming, it is a no go
Cheers

Hi!
So I made this app: MorseLight - Survival flashlight: SOS & Morse code
It's a survival flashlight that can transmit the SOS distress signal, Morse code messages and your GPS coordinates through light, sound... And it also has a strobe light.
Download here: play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gmail.ecvarts.linterna

All feedback is welcome!
Would prefer a more material design, lost my hearing now as had headphones in when testing. Those beeps are extremely high pitched.
Good overall functions.. Thanks for the work you put in.
Hi tiboric, thanks for your feedback.
I'm sorry to hear that. It's true the default pitch is quite annoying. This is because according to my research a sound frequency ranging in the 3Khz is most audible to human ears, and the main purpose of this all is to make sure the SOS distress signal is heard as much as possible.
You can disable sound anytime by tapping on the (S)ound button by the top. Also you can change the default frequency in settings screen, to which you can get to by tapping on the gear button located between the LSV buttons and the flashlight button, or by using your device menu button.
Again sorry about the incident and I'll include a warning regarding this specifically.
As for material design, as of now I ignore this technology but I will consider implementing it once I have studied it. It looks like it might entail a major rewrite of the UI so this would come rather later than soon.
Thanks again and I hope you can put it to good use!
