[APP][4.4+] Eliminate annoying notifications while using the phone. - Android Apps and Games

Selected as top 5 android apps by Phandroid
http://phandroid.com/2016/10/14/top-5-android-apps-october-14-2016/
Dingless is the stupidest, simplest, yet highly effective android app. it has three options for free,
1) Turn off notification when screen is on, and restore them back when screen is off. Well, Who needs extra disturbance while chatting, watching youTube or playing a game?
2) It combines consecutive sound notifications into one if the screen is off. You can define the time frame for this combination. So you will be receiving 1 notification every 30, 60 or 90 seconds. No more sounds rush when meeting your friends or having a dinner.
3) Turn off sound notifications while playing music from your phone or streaming from your favorite channels.

Vibration & Music Mode
Dingless has added 2 new features, eliminate the vibrations along with sound notification either while screen on or in rest mode.
Additionally, Dingless has added the Music Mode feature, where it will silence your notifications when you are playing music from your media player or streaming from your favorite apps like SoundCloud, Spotify, Pandora, etc..

[Q] Music is going silent during soft parts of a song

Samsung Galaxy S2 - Virgin Mobile - Android 4.2 - Wild the Night ROM (CWM10.2?)
Whenever I play a song in PowerAmp and there is a soft part it will go completely silent until the louder parts come in. For example, David Bowie's Space Oddity starts off very very quiet with a guitar but when I'm playing it in Android the song starts "playing" like 30 seconds in when David Bowie starts to sing. I believe this isn't a PowerAmp issue as it's doing the same thing in the music app Apollo, on multiple different songs as well.
I've endlessly tried Googling and cannot find the answer. I've checked through all of the Gapless settings in PowerAmp and those are off, even though I don't think it's a PowerAmp issue.

Music Pause & Notification Sound Issues

Hey guys, I've posted this inside of a thread in the Nexus 4 forums before, but no-one else seemed to have this issue. It seems to persist in the Nexus 5. Essentially what's happening is my music levels stay low after a notification sound plays while my music is on pause. Should a different notification play after I've resumed playback, the music levels get restored to original levels. Maybe a list will outline what happens better than typing it out:
1. Listening to music
2. Pause music for any reason
3. Notification sound plays while music is paused
4. Resume music playback
5. The music levels are low, meaning I must ramp up the volume to achieve same sound level (for the Media sound slider only!)
6. Another notification comes in while music is playing again
7. Immediately after notification sound ends, music levels get restored to original, louder state

Now, what normally happens when a notification sound plays during the playback of music, is the music levels drop, the notification sound plays, and then the music levels return to their normal levels. When this issue happens, the music levels don't come back up if the music is on pause, even after un-pausing and re-pausing the music, meaning that there should be an event firing right after the notification sound that isn't, when the music is paused. Can anyone else try to recreate this? What could be the cause of this? Any solution? If it makes any difference, I've only been able to test with Pandora for music and Hangouts and Google Voice app for notifications.
Oh, here are some more observations that I've noticed that are important and almost forgot to mention:
1. This happens only if I have a song queued on Pandora. That means having Pandora open and have a song already playing, then pause it. I can't just boot up my phone, receive a notification, and the Media sound levels will be low.
2. The levels fix themselves not only upon another notification paying while music playback has resumed, it also comes back upon the end of the song. Once a new song is downloaded from Pandora and starts playing, the levels fix themselves.
3. The levels also fix themselves if I force quit Pandora while the music levels are down. Does this mean it's an issue with Pandora?
4. Probably goes without saying, but I can fix them by rebooting my phone.

[APP] SleepTimer - Simple, Beautiful, Powerful

I should have posted my app in here a long time ago. But I guess it is never too late to post it and hope for some good feedback on how to improve the app even further.
What does SleepTimer do:
It simply gives you a way of stopping your music after x minutes. Set it, and listen to music (or a video) in the evening without having to worry about the music running at 3am and waking you up from your sleep. SleepTimer lets you even do more like turning off wifi and/or mobile data after it turned off the music so you do not get interrupted by those annoying WhatsApp messages .
Scenarios
1. Turning off music after falling asleep
2. Turning off remote music like iTunes Remote, YouTube over ChromeCast, ... (needs some configuration)
3. Like fall asleep while talking with your love but hate high phone bills? Let SleepTimer stop the phone call (needs some configuration)
For most use cases SleepTimer just works. Open it up, set time, start. Done. And it even looks nice (at least I think so).
Only like 6% of the apps need some additional configuration to make them work.
More details (only for those who want to know/read more)
The app uses many different techniques to turn off the music. Audio controls, audio foreground, and even notifications since the newest version. Sadly there are some really bad music players out there that do not support any way of stopping their music except for opening the app and using the stop button in there. In such cases there is only the way of lowering the volume (which I hate ). I hope those developers get to work and implement a proper Music Player. Luckily most apps work though.
About notifications (new since October 2014)
This I am actually pretty proud about and took me a while to implement. And it gives us two new features.
1. Stop music using the notification
So if they have a pause/stop/close control in the notifcation, one can add a custom action in settings, select the app and click on the button in the notification that stops the music. SleepTimer will then use that button in the notification to stop the music. That allows more ways to stop an app and allows to stop apps like iTunes Remote, YouTube with ChromeCast, ...
2. Wait until the end of a track
If enabled, SleepTimer will not turn off the music immediately but wait until the track ends. This is done using the text content of the notification. As soon as the text in a notification changes SleepTimer knows that the track is changing and it will send a stop request immediately. (As well it ignores numbers like 3:12 which is obviously not track information but time information)
Shake extend
If enabled, you can extend the timer by shaking your phone. So you can set some quiet chime to run one minute before the timer runs out. If you can still hear it then just shake to phone to extend the timer.
Root
One can enable root in advanced settings to have even more options when the timer ends. For example turning off the phone or turning on airplane mode.
I hope you do like the app. If not, let me know why. If you have any recommendations or questions, please just ask. As well any ideas how to improve the app further are welcome.
Cheers,
Patrick

Does it support all music & video players? Or only stock players?

It supports a lot of music and video players. Basically all of them that support the events of Android that good Audio Player apps should support according to Google Many players I tested (Stock, Google Play Music, TuneIn, Spotify, YouTube, ...) worked. And even if they don't work by default, try out adding a custom action in settings in on sleep actions.
Is is possible to turn off the device after x minutes?

Yes it is. But only if you have a rooted phone. If you do, then enable root in the advanced settings and then go into the On Sleep Actions settings where you will find the turn off phone option .
I think it would be great idea to add some notification with countdown(few seconds), before phone shutting down.
This is a really neat app! All the other sleep timers I tried didn't feature root options like airplane mode etc. Thanks a lot!
Just a little request: Could you add a screen off option as well? I mean sure, the device will turn off the display afterwards by itself, but I thought it might be useful.
Continuous sleep mode
Hi
I would like to know if the app can be configured so that if I fall asleep with earphones on and wake up and press the play/stop button on the earphones, theaudio I was listening to continues, but is automatically in sleep countdown mode without having to start Sleep Timer again.
This is the way the sleep mode in Smart Audiobooks works and it is very nice.
Thanks.

Low-Weight-Mp3 player for big mp3-collections (3000+ songs)

well, the "jungle" of mp3-player software for android is pretty big....
i'm currently using https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=mp3songs.mp3player.mp3cutter.ringtonemaker
on my smartwatch. (2", 320x240) https://www.sunsky-online.com/view/242836/An1 GSM Smart Watch Phone.htm
i have a 32gb micro-sd inserted and 3000+ mp3s on it.
The stated player somehow works, but sometimes it skips songs (when playing shuffle and song 1 is ended, he tries to load track 2 and it's shown, but he only starts the first millisecond and skips to song 3 and sometimes 4, etc, which is pretty annoying when you want uninterrupted playback) or takes ages to skip a song manually and in some rare occasions the player plain stops working (not responding, have to close manually).
Basically all i need is a player, that is:
capable of handling 3000+ songs with shuffle.
no visual battery/performance drainers like visualization etc.
integration in the home/lock screen,
skippable via bluetooth buttons (volume +/-) would be nice, too
low memory and cpu usage
free
maybe adjustable playback cache.
i don't need internet features, lyrics, album display.
Any recommendations?

1. Very good selection of sounds! One of the best available on Google Play. Congratulations!
2. Some sounds are stopping while looping (maybe a better cache of the sounds?)
3. I miss a volume control on the screen.
4. I also miss the ability of using night images (dark) or even no image at all (battery friendly)

The loop is not perfect. The music stops for 1 second and then restart, but it's noticeable that it's not continuous.

Some similar apps show a slider on the screen where you can control the volume instead of using the physical buttons.

The images have bright colours and if you take the phone at night to adjust or change the music, the light could be intense. A dark background (that is also present in other similar apps) will just show the controls and info, without the intense light (even for some seconds).
