I have an issue with the Backup. The button is not active. I try it with ADB:
c:\ADB platform-tools>adb shell
htc_imedugl:/ $ bmgr enabled
Backup Manager currently enabled
htc_imedugl:/ $ bmgr list transports
android/com.android.internal.backup.LocalTransport
com.google.android.gms/.backup.migrate.service.D2dTransport
* com.google.android.gms/.backup.BackupTransportService
htc_imedugl:/ $ bmgr backupnow --all
Running incremental backup for all packages.
Package @[email protected] with result: Transport error
Backup finished with result: Transport error
htc_imedugl:/ $ bmgr backupnow appdata
Running incremental backup for 1 requested packages.
Package appdata with result: Package not found
Backup finished with result: Success
htc_imedugl:/ $ bmgr list transports
android/com.android.internal.backup.LocalTransport
com.google.android.gms/.backup.migrate.service.D2dTransport
* com.google.android.gms/.backup.BackupTransportService
Nothing works.
I stop the Phone protection (fingerprint and "Muster").
The button for Backup is now gray and selectable. But no backup in Google Drive and an error on the phone, I have to try it later.
On "find my device"-app the HTC u12+ is not visibel. On https://play.google.com/settings the HTC is there and active. I have no issue too install any apps.
On timeline in Maps the HTC u12+ is also visibel.
What can I do.
Sorry for my bad english.
Thank you

Randomly, out of no where, started getting "Service Provider Update" dialog about install software for my sim. Accepting it throws it into recovery with an error.
What's the package for it so I can disable it?
EDIT: After messing around with ADB, isolated the package: com.sec.android.AutoPreconfig.
A couple users had this issue in the T-mobile and Verizon forums, as well as I on U firmware, so hopefully this'll help those who encounter this issue with root.

The actual location of the file is /system/priv-app/AutoPreconfig/ and thats where the AutoPreconfig.apk file is located to be deleted.

Any chance you can provide instructions on how to disable or delete via adb??
EDIT: Figured it out:
You must be rooted, and then enter adb shell.
Then enter the following commands:
adb shell
su
pm list packages -e | grep 'AutoPreconfig'
pm disable com.sec.android.AutoPreconfig

Or just delete the APK file, also stops all the crappy carrier related apps installing

Thank you very Much
The "Service Provider Update" dialog pops up on Android 12 on my Samsung M-127f after installing Magisk. And the AutoPreconfig app isn't on android 12. and i can't uninstall an app that doesn't exist. So what to do then to solve it without going stock?

The app is great, but the Antivirus mark it as virus...
Well, i've been uninstalling apps "One by One" and there is a problem with the "Weather" apps, 30 is weather theme instead Weather, and 28 is weather instead Weather Service. The other apps i've checked worked like a charm.
Thanks, i've uninstall apps that i don't use
i launch the program with winrar and i don't know the keyword to launch. How?
Got a rooted op7p & various versions of my favourite apps installed that I don't want to update. Because there not the latest versions they stay stuck in my update list in the play store!
Is there a magisk module or app I can run to remove them from the list so I'm not constantly told to update or accidentally update it?
Think I might have solved it!
Went into Titanium backup pro, found the app, scrolled across to 'special features', then 'detach from the market'! There no longer in the update list now anyway ?
Detach is one that is for this
Titanium Backup like you found is another option
However, in my experience, both apps don't keep apps removed. After some time, they will show up again
Yeah your right, already popped back up!
Any idea how to permanently get rid of them?
You can turn off updates from the google play store itself, and it never notifies you.
Go into google play > Settings > Auto-update apps | Set to Don't auto-update apps. If I want to update something, I go in manually and choose what I want to update.
As for Magisk modules, also under settings, turn off Check Updates.
Titanium Backup was my first play store purchase for those features as well
Hi there, I have found a work around for this.
Go to (https://github.com/yuk7/playstore-excl-upd)

}
then follow the instructions on the page.
Make sure you create a txt file named as peulist.txt under root directory /data/cache/peulist.txt... once done reboot after flashing the file and include the apps with there package name that you want to exclude from the update list.

Um... any idea how you can UNDO this, so all available updates will show up again? I've tried disabling the module and rebooted, but the changes seem to stay...
Does anyone know what exactly this module does/changes? It does not seem to be really well documented...
I took my WhatsApp's local backup on my old phone and put the same under Internal > WhatsApp > Databases on my new phone. But, WhatsApp doesn't even tries to detect the local backup that I already have on my new device instead it keeps on asking to restore backup from gdrive (in my case I don't have any backup on my gdrive).

It shows a pop up saying " If you previously backed up to Google Drive and want to restore it, give WhatsApp permission to check your Google account for backups", This has to options Skip and Give Permission. (Image attached).
Further on clicking skip, it simply moves ahead to the next step without any restoration. Please help me out to restore my messages.
P.S The phone number is the same in my case.

There are 2 different ways.
1. Uninstall the app, reinstall it. grant all permissions. Turn off the internet immediately after you verify the phone. (Some have said it works)
2. Install one of the older versions.
Working Versions: 2.21.9.5 and 2.21.8.17
please share your experience and steps with us here after trying it.

So, I understood that for whatever reason you don't have the red-framed button in your Magisk app as shown in my screenshot.

@marcwsa
You uninstall Magisk from within Magisk Manager app.
Apologies - but I am new to this and I think I may have bricked my phone now.
I did a complete wipe and now when it asks to reboot it says "No OS installed"
I fortunately still have access to the phone using USB to my PC so can transfer an image to the phone still. It ends up in /sdcard
BUT when I say install and point to the Pixel image file it goes all the way to the end and then on reboot says
No OS Installed Are you
sure you wish to reboot?
