Remove apps from Playstore update list? - OnePlus 7 Pro Questions & Answers

Got a rooted op7p & various versions of my favourite apps installed that I don't want to update. Because there not the latest versions they stay stuck in my update list in the play store!
Is there a magisk module or app I can run to remove them from the list so I'm not constantly told to update or accidentally update it?
Think I might have solved it!
Went into Titanium backup pro, found the app, scrolled across to 'special features', then 'detach from the market'! There no longer in the update list now anyway ?

Detach is one that is for this
Titanium Backup like you found is another option
However, in my experience, both apps don't keep apps removed. After some time, they will show up again

Yeah your right, already popped back up!
Any idea how to permanently get rid of them?

You can turn off updates from the google play store itself, and it never notifies you.
Go into google play > Settings > Auto-update apps | Set to Don't auto-update apps. If I want to update something, I go in manually and choose what I want to update.
As for Magisk modules, also under settings, turn off Check Updates.
Titanium Backup was my first play store purchase for those features as well

Hi there, I have found a work around for this.
Go to (https://github.com/yuk7/playstore-excl-upd)

}
then follow the instructions on the page.
Make sure you create a txt file named as peulist.txt under root directory /data/cache/peulist.txt... once done reboot after flashing the file and include the apps with there package name that you want to exclude from the update list.

Um... any idea how you can UNDO this, so all available updates will show up again? I've tried disabling the module and rebooted, but the changes seem to stay...
Does anyone know what exactly this module does/changes? It does not seem to be really well documented...

[HOW TO] Restore Apps saved by "Titanium backup" when we can't run it

Hi!
Probably, most of you have experienced that Titanium Backup can't be used in some ROMs because of (for example) the incompatibility with ext partitions. That is why I make this mini-guide about how to restore apps (maybe on other ROM) previously saved with Titanium Backup :
What we need
Previously saved apps, on a external SD (Obviously )
ES File explorer (It can be downloaded via PlayStore)
NOTE BEFORE STARTING: You can't restore the data of the app, only the app (apk).
Let's start:
1- Enter on /sdcard/TitaniumBackup/ and search the app you wanna restore:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
2- Let's asume that we want install "Flash Player" (for example). When we find it, we can see that there are three files with (moreless) the same name:
3- The only file we need is wich one that has the ".apk.gz" extension (normally it appears like the 3rd), ensure by long pressing it and then entering in "properties":
4- Once we have our desired file, we press on it and we will enter on the ".apk.gz" file. Then, press again and we will get the installation screen:
Ta-da! Magic!
Hope that this mini-guide helped you and of course, you liked it.
Thanks for the info man! I was using CM7 but it had not full superuser and ext support, so i couldn't work properly with it... Now I can install my saved apps.
Regards.
Big help, a massive thank you.
Obviously this would take forever, but thanks!
Thanks for the info but it's not working for me. I tried this using ES file explorer. I located the file alright, but when I tried installing it, it said install failed.
DId I miss something? or is there something wrong with the file?
Again thanks for the info.
neat but one question
Hey man i find your idea cool, but however that does not recover lost data, or am i doing something wrong?
Sorry for the necro, but this thread really helped me so I thought I'd chime in.

My Titanium Backup kept crashing everytime I tried to restore an app. I fixed this by following this guide and then going to the Titanium Backup to restore data. Once you installed the app with this guide the app shows up in Titanium under backed up apps. Then just click the app and ONLY restore data. No crashes and you get your data back!

Google Autofill stopped working

Google autofill stopped working since few days before it was working fine on Huawei P40 pro with GMS.. any solution.
It's the last Google Play Services update that blocks the autofill.
Even if you revert back to an older one, it'll update eventually and will block it again.
Best way to avoid is to revert and freeze with Icebox, but then you will lose sync with apps like Maps etc..

1. Settings in Store:
a. Auto-update apps: Don”t auto-update apps.
b. Data-usage: Background data= Not allowed
c. Write system settings: No
2. Restart the phone after those settings
3. Use one of this Google play services file:
800.32 MB folder on MEGA
13 files
mega.nz
That solved update of Google play services file (99.99%). 0.01% can be auto-updated due to what settings are on your phone etc. On my phone, with what i use, I have no problem.

I think is not uninstalled for real. It is hidden some how. Better install this app, connect to your phone and search for it on disabled apps tab. If the app is there, enable it.

So, I understood that for whatever reason you don't have the red-framed button in your Magisk app as shown in my screenshot.

Last but not least, the following thread is monitored by highly knowledgable members who are certainly better suited to support you than me, although a search there could probably already provide a solution:

@marcwsa
You uninstall Magisk from within Magisk Manager app.
Apologies - but I am new to this and I think I may have bricked my phone now.
I did a complete wipe and now when it asks to reboot it says "No OS installed"
I fortunately still have access to the phone using USB to my PC so can transfer an image to the phone still. It ends up in /sdcard
BUT when I say install and point to the Pixel image file it goes all the way to the end and then on reboot says
No OS Installed Are you
sure you wish to reboot?

Did you install it?
Make a copy via ApkExport
Scan with online Virustotal. Decide.
If you uninstall it and that doesn't work, factory reset.
i don't know if i installed it. till i know as installation was done on the date i mentioned, at that time pendamic was active. i was not working anymore on that time so as i know about that time i din't installed it but just a hours ago i notice this app in my installed app note as system apps.

It looks like a rooting app.
I'm not familiar with that device manufacturer or app. However it looks like a high risk apk to me especially if you're not rooted and can't recall downloading it. It's probably capable of causing a lot of damage.
If running on Android 9 or higher, a factory reset should purge any root kits if present. If you do a factory reset, set a new Google account password (make sure you write it down correctly) after the factory reset. Change any other critical passwords.

Do a scan with Malwarebytes afterwards.
Keep an eye on your download folder and make sure install unknown sources is always disabled unless you need to use it to sideload.
Be careful what you install...

Magisk hide "Settings" app force closing

A few weeks ago, my hidden Magisk Manager (hidden as "Settings") stopped working. When I try and launch the generic Settings app it sets up, I get the normal FC menu ("Settings keeps stopping") error. I also get it when I open up any app that I previously allowed root access to, but obviously I cannot add new apps superuser access. I also get the FC every time I reboot the phone.
I haven't updated my OnePlus 9 Pro since the ColorOS 12 update came out, as 1) was not a fan, and 2) everything I read said I'd need to wipe the phone to get root back. Needless to say, it's been a while. My phone is currently on the 11.2.10.10.LE15AA version.
This just started happening one day, but I have no idea why. I am not sure what version of Magisk I am on, because I can't open the app. I also tried downloading the latest and installing the APK, but when I launch it, it's says things need to be "fixed" and to reboot. I then get the choice the normal Magisk installer brings up. I tried doing a direct install, but it failed. I also tried to restore the boot image, but it said the backup wasn't found (never seen that either, as I restore images every time I do an OTA).
Not sure what to do at this point. I'm at a complete loss. I would appreciate any help you guys can provide!
Do a LOGCAT to get the very reason why Magisk is not working.
I tried to get it as quickly as possible to minimize clutter, but it's still pretty long. I believe I've found where in the log the FC I captured (by looking for "zygote", but not sure what to make of it. It sounds like a file or something is missing.

Doesn't seem like the logcat file got attached.
