Hey guys! Is this feature unlocked in our LG V50 device? Anyone here tried this one? I haven't tried QC3.0 tho. I'm charging my phone 1hr 20mins from 40%-100% using the stock charger and cable.
I would like to know if the v50 is compatible with Quick charge 4.0, could anyone test?
I don't know about v50 (they promised around 30-40% faster charging compared to v40)
G7 QC4 is locked at 21-24watts

I have researched this quite a bit and can't figure out:
1) Does the AT&T LG G2 support Qualcomm's QuickCharge?
2) If so, what type of charger do you need to have? I heard it was a 2.1v charger/plug.
3) If so, is it QuickCharge 1.0 or 2.0? I imagine 1.0 since the new Moto X was just released with 2.0…
It'd be nice to have an official answer and an explanation as to how you know the answer!
Does no one know?
i have read on qualocom's site that all snapdragon 800 are supported, but some people noted that it might be disabled in software, those chargers are brand new and i am sure someone will test one out with a g2 soon
I use a standard 5.0V, 1.2A wall charger and my G2 charges from dead to full in less than an hour. But I'm sure some people want this feature so they can charge their batteries in under 10 minutes. But if you're using that much battery why not just have a second battery? You're not always gonna be somewhere where you can charge your battery. Even quickly.
I've never heard of under 10 minute charges, but I have heard of 75% in 15 minutes with QuickCharge 2.0. Also, unless you have the Korean version of the G2, it doesn't have a replaceable battery, so a fast charger is the way to go for that.
Anyone tried it? How slow would that be to fully charged up the phone from empty? I have an extra G2 stock charger lying around and thinking of using it for overnight charging purpose.
would that be a problem?
I use my g2 charger for the g5. My g5 charger stopped working after a week. I think it is about the same.
I'm using Aukey charger with Quick Charge 2.0 which was my old charger used to my G2 before. Now my G5 is using it without a problem.
Hi guys,
Most of the time, i charge my Moto g5 with the official Motorola charger. Other chargers work aswell, but slower. However, when i use one of my powerbanks, it will charge for about 20%, and then stops. Does this have to do with the amperage output? And if so, does this mean i cant use powerbanks at all?
Thanks in advance!

I really think the problem is first with the usbc 3.1 cable. Be sure to buy one that is fully usbc 3.1 and from a good brand, then charge it. LG V50 has 5Gbps usbc 3.1 port enabled. The most advanced in smartphone market. Then go for 5v 2a if the cable doesn't fix it.
Don't think that caused any trouble. I charge my phones with different charges convenient available at site. It's only whether I get fast charging or not AFAIS. Samsung fast charger doesn't fast charge my LG V50, but other third party brand does. Please kindly enlighten me if this hurt my battery life badly.
I bought an LG V50 late 2020 because it was on sale, and the included charger with quick charge only goes up to 590 mA max, is this normal on qualcomm devices? my samsung with an exynos chipset charges very fast, is my unit defective in anyway??
optimized charging is off btw.

disable optimize charging in battery menu
Make sure the battery start charge temp is at least 72°F, 80-90°F is better.
Fast charging will not engage if too cold at start in order to protect the battery from Li plating.
It's an electrochemical reaction that needs heat to work properly.
