Right now I'm connecting my Chord Hugo2 audio DAC to my Note10+ directly via usb-c to micro-b cable and using various music apps to play music. The chain is like this: Phone --> USBC to microb cable--> hugo2 --> headphones Will I be able connect my DAC to my portable dex setup as well? The monitor will be powered via powerband. I was considering a few possibilities:
1. USB c splitter from phone: one end goes to the portable monitor to operate dex the other to the DAC
2. Phone --> monitor--> hugo2. In this case the phone will connect to the monitor as normal, the audio data will transfer through the monitor to the Hugo2 and then to my headphones. This is not ideal as the sound will travel through another device(the monitor) before getting to the DAC.
3. DeX pad : it looks like the pad has several outputs, would I be able to connect one of these to the DAC while having it connected to the monitor as well, again as in #2 introducing another component to the audio chain.

Hi guys,
Is it possible to have audio over usb on Infuse 4G?
The HDMI adapter works halfway (it needs external power).
My goal is to connect my phone to my stereo and charge it with single usb cable.
I am iPhone user and I have a single cable for charging and audio for it.
I don't have bluetooth on my stereo, so my only option is AUX.
Please, advise!

try xcaliburinhand's and ytt3r's dock sound redirector. the home dock does this and so does the car dock but only with the respective desk home and car home app or dock sound redirector from the market. you may need to simulate the dock with a resistor between 2 pins. i have to look up which ones and the resistor value needed.
I just made this discovery - I bought a samsung dock when I got my 7+ thinking it was the hdmi dock, sadly I didn't read the description properly, as it was desktop dock ( charging and audio out only ) so ended up also buying the hdmi adapter. By connecting the adapter to the dock, it still outputs video via hdmi with the device docked, but can still output audio via the 2.5 audio jack, that makes it much more versatile, ie video out via hdmi-dvi to pc monitor / dvi only tv such as older plasma and audio out to a seperate a/v receiver etc. This could be useful for anyone who hasn't got up to date tech.
So I just purchased a GROM Audio Honda Acura 03+ USB Android iPod Bluetooth AUX adapter( SKU: HON1U3 )
http://www.gromaudio.com/store/usb_...uetooth_adapter_direct_digital_interface.html
With both the Bluetooth and USB AUX adapter it came to a pricey $229.96. What I got for that price is:
Bluetooth media and headphone profiles
USB out via AALinQ Car Music Player
OK Google Hotword still works
Con's:
You have to load your media into the AALinQ application to get it to play via USB, that means no Google Play music over USB, and all system sounds aren't automatically sent to the USB audio like with the Note 3 and previous Galaxy devices.
You don't get track titles etc via Bluetooth at least with my Note 4 on my '08 Acura MDX and the GROM connected to my XM 2 Sat input on the stock head unit.
I'm getting a weird slight crackle when audio stops and starts playing via Bluetooth, I think this is because the Grom adapter is connecting and disconnecting USB audio to the head unit, I got the same crackle when connecting my MHL USB audio connector when the car head unit was on.
Pro's:
The nice thing is that unlike a dedicated MHL USB connector which is the other way to get USB audio out on the Note 4 you aren't blocking your microphone while connected
You are charging. which I hadn't got working with USB to MHL.
Just thought this might be useful to those of us who don't have A2DP built into our car stereo's. GROM is compatible with hundreds and hundreds of vehicles, just use the Browse by auto make selector at http://www.gromaudio.com/index.html
I don't work for GROM, I paid for my unit myself, wanted to share what worked for me in case it helps one of you.
Oh and according to their FAQ the charge you're getting is 1A 5V http://www.gromaudio.com/support/usb-faq.html
I am trying to play audio via the USB-C socket attached to my Audiolab dac.
I have got the usb cable & a usb to usb-c adaptor. When i connect to the phone the music comes out of the speakers on the phone.
Does anyone have any ideas how to get the music to go to the usb-c & to to the dac.
Do I need some other special cable?
Are there any settings on the Note 10+ that have to be changed?
I did try the disable usb audio routing both on & off but it didn't fix the problem.
Any ideas?

I don't have the note 10, but have you already looked under audio settings for any relevant settings that would enable/use the dac?
My S10 have same problem. Just fix by restart when connecting with Dac. U can try.
I have a DeX station with an HDMI out port. The HDMI port supports video + audio.
The DeX station has been connected to a DVI KVM switch for years via a passive HDMI-to-DVI adapter. DVI only supports video, so the audio would continue to sound from the phone speakers when it was docked. This worked well, and was what I wanted.
I just replaced the DVI KVM with an HDMI KVM. Now, the DeX station's audio gets sent to the KVM. The problem is that the KVM only plays the audio for the currently-selected device. So, if the phone is in the DeX station and the KVM is set to use one of my computers, I don't hear any audio - most importantly, notifications - from the phone.
In the S22 Ultra, I can use the Media output button in the notification area to switch the audio from the HDMI port back to the phone speakers. But I need to do this every time I dock the phone, which is dozens of times per day.
I'd like to permanently disable HDMI audio out for this phone, but I don't seem to have that option. For context, I was able to configure the routing with an earlier Samsung phone/dock combination, but I can't remember whether it was with this DeX station or the pre-DeX Smart Dock. Anyway, I'm hoping that there's some setting I can toggle once so that I don't have to manually choose the correct audio output device all day, every day.
My question is:
Is there an Android / S22 Ultra configuration setting where I can permanently disable HDMI audio out (generally, or at least for this one DeX station)?
Thanks in advance.
