GROM USB Audio out works with my Verizon Note 4. Kinda. - Galaxy Note 4 Accessories

So I just purchased a GROM Audio Honda Acura 03+ USB Android iPod Bluetooth AUX adapter( SKU: HON1U3 )
http://www.gromaudio.com/store/usb_...uetooth_adapter_direct_digital_interface.html
With both the Bluetooth and USB AUX adapter it came to a pricey $229.96. What I got for that price is:
Bluetooth media and headphone profiles
USB out via AALinQ Car Music Player
OK Google Hotword still works
Con's:
You have to load your media into the AALinQ application to get it to play via USB, that means no Google Play music over USB, and all system sounds aren't automatically sent to the USB audio like with the Note 3 and previous Galaxy devices.
You don't get track titles etc via Bluetooth at least with my Note 4 on my '08 Acura MDX and the GROM connected to my XM 2 Sat input on the stock head unit.
I'm getting a weird slight crackle when audio stops and starts playing via Bluetooth, I think this is because the Grom adapter is connecting and disconnecting USB audio to the head unit, I got the same crackle when connecting my MHL USB audio connector when the car head unit was on.
Pro's:
The nice thing is that unlike a dedicated MHL USB connector which is the other way to get USB audio out on the Note 4 you aren't blocking your microphone while connected
You are charging. which I hadn't got working with USB to MHL.
Just thought this might be useful to those of us who don't have A2DP built into our car stereo's. GROM is compatible with hundreds and hundreds of vehicles, just use the Browse by auto make selector at http://www.gromaudio.com/index.html
I don't work for GROM, I paid for my unit myself, wanted to share what worked for me in case it helps one of you.

Oh and according to their FAQ the charge you're getting is 1A 5V http://www.gromaudio.com/support/usb-faq.html

Heads up - bluetooth car radio at Lidl, UK

I've just got a bluetooth car radio from Lidl - this one
Its quite cheap but has a lot of functions - bluetooth phone connection with external mike, usb and sd card sockets, aux socket, front ipod (earphone) connector, sub out, remote control.
But surprisingly, it supports A2DP so sound can be sent from the PDA over bluetooth - great for sat-nav and playing mp3's. I'm using BT Audio Router to send all sound to bluetooth.
Its on special offer for this week, so it may sell out quickly.

Bluetooth audio for car?

Bluetooth audio questions - probably rookie-level
I want to stream music/podcasts from my phone (Samsung i907) through my car system. I have installed an AUX RCA setup, so I can now do this with a cable and it's pretty solid.
My question is - are the Bluetooth audio receivers out there - usually relatively cheap - compatible with this setup? Is it as simple as plugging a little BT receiver into my RCA jacks, pairing up my phone, and hitting play?
Any advice/recommendations on receivers/etc. is appreciated. Thanks!
It would help if you state which car / car system.

Enabling Audio Booster with TV out cable

Is it possible to do? I use my fuze alot in the car as gps and internet radio streaming and was using the headphone adapter up until the charging port started shorting out. now i switched to my tv out cable (OEM cable) which also cleaned up the look coming off the phone but doesnt allow the audio booster to be enabled. Is there a way to do it or do i need to use the headphone adapter..

USB audio

Hey I heard with lollipop we would have USB audio. When I connect my nexus 5 to my car through a USB cable and play some music it doesn't play from the car speakers. Whereas an iPhone was able to play music. Any help on how to make it work would be appreciated.
Probably your car audio needs a software upgrade to work with Android devices/L's USB DAC support.
Your car is looking for a file system, android USB audio is providing stream not a file system so this probably wont work unless the deck can emulate a small sound card or something to accept the input.

Best AD2P Bluetooth Auxiliary Adapter for Cars

Hello All,
I just bought a used Lexus and it has bluetooth for phone, but not streaming. I have an aux port in the console and a usb port so I would like to add a bluetooth adapter for streaming music. I am looking for one that turns on automatically with the car (doesnt require me to push a button), will pair automatically with my phone (again no button pushing), and can be powered off a usb port. I do not want one that does hands free, just one that does streaming only.
I am having trouble finding one that auto turns on and connects. Does anyone have a good suggestion?
I ended up getting the Blackberry Music Gateway 2 and it works just great: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00WPYIY3O/
