Sense Photos & Videos Question

So I'm using the most recent version of Sense, but on a few different ROMs I have observed that despite setting an "Album" as my favourite, every so often it defaults back to my recent photos.
Anyone know why this happens?

[Q][9001][MOD]

Hi,
GT-I9001 Android 4.0.4 CyanogenMod 9 ivendor ariesve RC5
I have a strange issue with my Samsung S Plus. When I use the camera with the builtin app I can take photographs without any problem.
I take the photo and then I'm back to the live view.
When I use others apps, like Camera Zoom FX, HDR Camera, ProCapture... I always have the last photograph on my preview screen. There's no refresh. I don't get back to the live view screen.
I have tested several apps, same issue.
Can't find any related post.
Thanks for your help.

Click to collapse
I experienced something similiar while on CM9, and it was one of reasons I gave up using this. Why not to try anything else? Try out a CM10 based rom, or SlimBean 3.1, fully compiled from AOSP. I prefer the last one, stable and reliable.

Lost Photosphere

Hi guys,
I have an issue.
I took a sphere today on my nexus5 running gcamera on the lollipop preview.
It took all the segments just fine and started processing it, notification icon appeared with progress bar in notification tray.
At which point locked it and put it in my pocket
Later I looked at my phone to share it but its not there. Its not in the photos app on the phone or desktop.
Any suggestions? Could it be cached somewhere and have failed to process?
The location is almost an hour away plus a 20min walk in near perfect weather conditions.
I have not tried another yet, main objective is to find out if its cached somewhere and is recoverable. If that defo is not the case then I will try to repeat the fault by taking another.
thanks!
You can only see it from the camera app, not the gallery. Open the camera and swipe to its built in gallery.
If not there, then no idea.
Edit. Looks like I'm wrong. On L, looks like normal called can see fine. Guess its lost.
you wont see it in the gallery app(not as a photosphere), you will see it in the photos app though.
It's nowhere, not in photos app either
Same problem here!
I'm having the same problem on my Nexus 5 with official Android 5.0 build. No root. No nothing. All stock. I can take photospheres all day and, just like the OP, they disappear once finished rendering. I found the individual photos and panorama version of the spheres in buried in the phone's camera app cache. Unfortunately that doesn't help the situation. Has anyone found a solution?
edit: Panorama mode has the same results. It appears to take the photo without issue. Once it finishing rendering, it is nowhere to be found.
2016 and nouget still have same issue with nexus5x ! Photosphere gone after rendering

Adding 3D photo on Facebook directly from Android app

The OP6 has never supported adding 3D photos from the Facebook android app directly. Newer iphones, pixels, and some Samsungs do it. I switch ROMs a lot. The other day I flashed TreskMod Q rom. I was using Facebook and noticed that I was able to add a 3D photo from within the Facebook app. I could simply click on "What's on your mind" to create a post, scroll down to "3D Photo" (where it usually says "Camera"), click "3D Photo", and then browse for a picture in my gallery. I'd select it and a 3D photo would be created. I didn't understand how this was possible and assumed that the ROM made some build prop changes that tricked the app into thinking that it was a Pixel. But, I looked through the build prop and found nothing. A couple of days later, the option disappeared. I assumed that a newer version of the Facebook app got auto updated. I tried sideloading older versions of Facebook and the 3D photo option did not appear again. I tried flashing the port of the Pixel 4XL in the Rom section, the option was not in Facebook on that rom either. Anyone have any idea how I can get it enabled again?
