This was personal project for my Nexus 5X, I've decided to make it public and give to those who wants a new life for his Nexus 5X.

Looks good, all up and running with micro gapps installed, restored from Google back up without fault. Other than the animations running at double time everything else seems to be on point, thanks again ?

Describe what you wipe and installing process?!
Encryption is working?
While encrypting the phone, it restarts and then struck on "Google" screen

Just wipe/factory reset and flash rom as instruction.
Any rom has had that kind of crash before...

You should wait a bit in that screen.... the encryption is not instant. If you wanna encrypt. Wipe all, flash rom and let boot, then encrypt without install apps, much faster.

I will try that. Generally it should show the option of encryption while setup itself.. Any idea why it's not showing?
BTW the ROM is super cool. It is definitely a daily driver

I can't answer you, I dont have encrypted my phones. Maybe someone can answer you, I uploaded an encrypted build by default, wipe all and flash.

Try wipe everything except internal storage and let flash just ROM and let it boot then reboot recovery and flash gapps and Magisk if you want root . If it happens again maybe you should try format data flash ROM and let first ROM boot than reboot recovery and flash gapps , Magisk if you want root. BUT FIRST TRANSFER IMPORTANT FILES IN PC AS YOU FORMATED DATA YOU WILL LOST ALL FILES. One of those methods should work.

Try nano open gapps or pico even Bitgapps works good for me. There is no problem for flashing and crashing if you follow instructions of OP.

Did you actually Format data, as recommended in OP? TWRP>wipe>Format data>Type yes>confirm>flash ROM+gapps. Even PixelGapps from Telegram group work.
I don't get it lol... Flashed the encrypted version and on boot the phone asked for password. Didn't had one. So I formatted data partition and flashed again. Now it boots fine but if i want to flash gapps there is no setup or any other gapps installed on reboot. Did I miss something here? Sorry it was a long time ago flashing on my N5X.

With Bitgapps you can flash with or without setup. There is two versions of Bitgapps. See thread.
For opengapps should be setup wizard to log in to Google.
Try first flash ROM boot it and reboot to recovery then flash gapps you want.

Install the Rom, then wipe data and cache... and market will work...

on my phone after wipe market is still don't working :\ what gaaps you are using? if you can share link
question: can you turn off the trackpad mouse pointer, to work as 2.3.7
galery not working properly
otherwise a good rom, I like it
Pointer remover!
This update removes pointer but do not worry the D-Pad will work as in Android 2.3.7!
Update Not working so you need to put those files in /system folder by yourself!
Pointer will be fixed in next update!
Can't impossible get Gapps to work. Have tried evrything (I think)!
Have tried a couple other Gapps then latest one given in this thread.
Have tried installing CM9 and Gapps a couple of times, with reboot and cleaning cache etc in diffrent orders... without luck.
Latest I tried clearing cache, data, dalvik, etc.
Installed CM9.
Installed Gapps (given above in thread)
Reboot.
Evrything seems to work, but no icons/apps appear... >_<

when i want install new release recovery show me that installation aborted
Now I've done some more testing... and done the installation over and over a couple of times
Theese are my conclusions:
* Installation of Gapps is partially working!
From one installation to another, diffrent apps and function is installed (or working) on the phone.
Theese functions I've found (so far) that vary from time to time:
* Gmail
* Market
* Screen lock
* Installation guide program when new user/clean installation
tested
After a while I managed to set up it to work good
1.wipe data factory reset, dalvik cache...everything
2.flash rom
3.wait for the phone to start
4.wipe again,start the phone
5.flash gpapps
Instead of stock gallery use quick pick.
Little bit slow when entering menu (probably becouse of stock zoom effect).
market working,camera working, synced account without problems

RAM size 140 MB (it is very good)

*1.The graphics system sometimes produces errors

i instaled this rom, and i am very satisfied, i like it very much, i want to use it as my prime rom, but, i have problem, landscape mod dosent work, nor in messages nor in menu. atlist in messages i must have landscape mod. can u fox this???

I tried this. computer displays 2 extra drives but doesnt detects it ergo cant read or write.
Can u elaborate on d on cm 10.2 bugs n list all of them.. And delete those which r striked.. Just a suggestion

here we got the hint. Means, Computer is able to detect and mount the Storage but right for reading and writing isn't given by Mobile.
Hi! What a wonderful rom? I'm very happy with it, it works perfect.
I found a little bug which is not listed, the browser fc when you try to open incognito tab.

I found a Deadly Bug:
1) when i re-boot phone, phone stuck at Samsung Galaxy R LOGO screen & unable to reboot phone :crying: ....
so i wipe data again (in cwm Recovery) and then it boot properly.
2) when i try to install apk it say's,"can't open file"
see the screenshots.
please try to fix this bugs in your next Build & i hope this information is helpful to make ROM stable
& sorry i post this same in general thread also, my mistake

You wiped data in "cwm" recovery. So u using clockworkmod. And thats known that it doesnt boot properly with cwm. Thats why op told to use TWRP. Try that.

It is necessary to use twrp or latest philz recovery.
Regarding the install problem download any file manager from play store and using that you can install the apk.
Nikhil you can add this in the bug list, Installing apk from downloads isn't working.

Where is the incognito option in Chrome
Yes confirmed about the camera it gets stuck if you change picture size, after restarting the app it works.
Yes you can install apk from any file manager but not from downloads.
In stock browser. I have activated quick controls in tabs you can open incognito tab but when do it, it fc.

Instructions:
Download zip and please use the TWRP recovery from this thread.
Do simple wipe (Factory reset) by using TWRP recovery.
Don't do advance wipe
Then flash the Cyanogenmod zip file.
Go back and select opengapps zip and flash it.
Then go to wipe and do factory reset.
Reboot and enjoy.

MIC, camera and bluetooth is not working
Rom is always showing 100% battery percentage and it isn't showing anything during charging so there is no way of knowing the right battery percentage
Whatsapp, google allo and duo cant be installed from play store
It also sometimes reboots unexpectedly
Frameroot isn't working
Google play store takes a little longer to start

When i try to flash stock open gapps it says not enough space in system partition
How to solve this?

Enable developer options bby clicking 7 times Build number in About Phone.
Then goto developer options and find option Root Access.
And yes the same kernel is used.

You dont need to root it as it is already rooted just enable root access from developer options.

I gave it a try yesterday on i8260 and i confirm those issues.
There's one more thing i noticed on my single-sim core: sim card notification shows always no sim card detected although the phone is registered to my provider, i can send/receive text/calls.
Options in the settings (SIM CARDS) were faded out, i wasn't able to change anything.
During the phone call, mic starts to work for a few seconds, then fades out with no reason, stops and starts again after some time.
BTW. Fingers crossed, i hope you can fix those issues. This ROM is the best I've tried so far, since CM10 i use as my daily driver.

Here is the link to the official topic. I haven't tried it on this build but it always worked for me on other Android 6./5.x devices. TWRP zip file to flash, APK file to install.

Instructions:
Download zip and please use the TWRP recovery from this thread.
Do simple wipe (Factory reset) by using TWRP recovery.
Don't do advance wipe
Then flash the Cyanogenmod zip file.
Go back and select opengapps zip and flash it.
Then go to wipe and do factory reset.
Reboot and enjoy.

In this new update there are two options of rom the first one already comes pre-routed and the second option and rom without root and without gapps
will try it

But root with magisk is more reliable as I can hide root for banking apps and Po Go
Those apps will detected my phone is rooted
With root and gapps or without root and gapps!

Didn't find any bugs, only sometimes I get crashes from calendar and Google app, rarely though.
Pretty stable and really fast.

I did not find any errors, but it would be cool if you test and tell me if you find any errors to fix it

Yes, the in version the gapps are included, but i still flashed the zip from the folder you provided.
Howerver after reinstalling the corrupted Google Apps form withing android everything works flawlessly for the most part.
If you have anything for me to try out dont hesitatem would be glad to help.

I found two bugs
I found two bugs on this rom, the first bug is go to settings-display- saturation and color-screen optimize, when I set it to Normal mode, it works. But when I restart my phone, this setting restored to Smart adaption(although it seems circled the Normal mode, it actually Smart adaption, the same result on Screen enhance) So currently I have to check this setting every time I restart my phone.
The second bug is this rom is incompatible with ShadowsocksR( a software which can bypass the censorship in China), it keeps FC when every time when I open SSR( stand for ShadowsocksR) I have tested this software on MIUI, it works great.
Could you fix these two bugs, I would be grateful.

I am having some 4g problems with this rom. Tried to force switch to 4g no luck.
Also the camera looks a bit off, a bit of white noise and unsharp.
The rom started in chinese without the option to select a language.
Further it seems to behave fast and quick.
What about the camera quality? Is it good as stock? Or the same problem as the rest of AOSP ROMS?

Yeah.. Its okay I guess.. I'm using device z00t and.. Lineageos 15 well.. Google play services seems to .. Force close for some reason.. ? really appreciate your work tho man...
Haven't found any unofficial Oreo gapps that can be dirty flashed, always get many apps force closing. Will try these dirty and clean next ROM build.

weird, i flashed lineage os then set my oneplus 3 up then flashed stock gapps

It works but.
You have to dirty flash. I did dirty flash but some apps fc.
looks like all of the gapps uploaded are incorrectly built as you can't flash them and complete setup.

I flashed arm pico without problems
I am having issues on my Moto G4 Plus where the Gapps package says finished, but the bar at the bottom of TWRP window doesnt fill up and it gets stuck. No Reboot or anything. Tried pico,mini, and stock.

Hi. It remains installed in 98%, and does not advance further.
The file downloaded is not a zip file
I downloaded arm 64 bit stock version
Its showing "can't open file"
And if i see the properties its showing it's a zip file
Can i install it or no ?

just try it, if it is corrupt it wont flash, but it shouldn't be since i used that once myself

I have exactly the same problem with 20170909 gapps.
pico 20170906 from here https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=745425885120760217 is working. Setup is starting. But after that i have problems with playstore. I have to clear cache and delete data from all google services to get playstore running. After reboot i have to do the same things again.
