Wow, CM on a Note 3 simply rockets its performance through the roof !
I've noticed over the past few days my device has played the most intensive 3D Games that android has to offer amazingly well, It really does show TW up!
Below I've posted a YouTube Video of running Three intensive games all at once ( not literally ) and swapping around some other apps, just to show you how snappy and quick this phone now is !
** GTA SA is running on High res/draw distance with shadows on , reflections on and details set to medium ( this was a lag fest on TW )

Games on Galaxy Ace 3 LTE (GT-S7275R) - what you can run

Games what are tested by me on Galaxy Ace 3 LTE (GT-S7275R)
3G and DualSIM versions - i not have, i cant test.
Asphalt 8 Airbone - High settings super!
Call of Duty:Strike Team** - little lags,but playable
Despicable me: Minion Rush - no lags
Gangstar Vegas - bit laggy - high/medium
Grand Theft Auto: (no lags at settings, or little very little lags)
III - draw dis. 20%, screen res. 40%, vis. effects medium,dyn. shadows off,frame limiter off
Vice City - crash when loading - cant run/play
San Andreas** - Trafiic mode Light, Vis. Effect low , resolut. 0%, draw dis. 30%, shadows off , car refl. Low
(When update to 1.07 - Traffic Classic,Vis. Eff Low,resolution 100%, draw dist. 0%,shadows Low,car refl. Detailed, and still more fps than older version!)
Minecraftocket Edition - all setting on, draw distance maximum - no lags
Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour - i think never lagged
Real Racing 3 - no lags
(Real Racing 2 - i think when run RR3 then can run RR2)
Simpsons: Tapped Out - no lags
Subway Surfers - no lags
World of Tanks:Blitz - average 30-40 Fps (PS:After update 1.6 fps is higher and gameplay better)
** Games you can play and run! But you cant download or buy from Google Play store..
Games are working and tested by me on kosthouls Cyanogenmod 12 - Android Lollipop, i know , in Stock ROM 4.2.2 games will laggy ! (Ex: Asphalt 8 will lag in Low setting on stock!)
All games tested on 1.2 GHz, no overclock.
Be sure you have free RAM in phone, when phone RAM is free only 150MB and lower, phone will laggy ! Very laggy! (Using RAM manager pro and good)
Use FolderMount for save big games to external SD card.Its better!
Tip: Try Greenify if you on Stock ROM or phone is laggy than earlier - it will help !

I played asphalt 8 smoothly on stock rom at highest setting (i used greenify to hibernate apps)

Gaming on honor 8

Games like pubg running like mess on honor 8 nougat 7.0 even a hundred dollar phone can run pubg better
I think the main culprit is kernel bcz pubg is not using high performance cortex a72 cores i have monitored it while playing
My ques is : is upgrading to oreo will solve the problem??
Because this chip is not optimised by game developers
Or can we tweak the kernel
Or can i turn off 1st cluster of a53 cores

I have noticed the exact same thing but the bigger cores drop to prevent over heating i guess. Playing pubg on paranoid Android rom, using root and forcing a72 to work at performance using kernel adiutor works great.

How to force a72 cores??

Use kernel adiutor app from play store. You need root access so either magisk or SuperSU. Then you can drag from the left to find core option and you can then choose the frequencies of both a72 and a53. Use full while playing. It'll kill your battery not drain but really kill your batteries life.
It works best on custom ROMs, tried on stock but failed because of the kernel continuously resetting.

Search on google for "GPU turbo XDA". There's a thread where a developer has created something like GPU turbo. You'll need a custom recovery and magisk installed on your device to use it. Hopefully it might help. To play pubg I use Gltools and Gfx tool for pubg.
Set your GPU to adreno 540 using gltools and then open PUBG. In the graphics settings change the Quality to "Smooth", this will unlock extreme FPS setting. And select FPS as "Extreme". Disable changing auto fps. Save the settings. Now try playing the game.
(Optional) Exit the game and open GFX tool for PUBG. Select 0.7 version and change the resolution to lowest and graphic settings to "So smooth". Don't touch the FPS setting. Save and run the game. With this the game will run smoothly with over 40+ fps all the time for hours. But your trade off will be some graphics in the game which you'll have to get used to. I hope this helps.

It works fine for me in any adreno and Mali GPU setting except for open GL2.0 GPUs. Maybe you should try clear data in PUBG and try again.

Just a quick update. Games are working super smooth on RROS B2. I didn't have to use gfx tool for pubg to reduce graphics like I used to do before. Just used gltools to unlock 60 fps and it works like charm in higher graphics quality and steady frames around 50-60fps. And the best thing is phone is not even getting hot even after 1 hour of pubg :good:

Is RROS B2 oreo? Can you tell me whats the gpu driver version? On nougat it is r12p1

You shouldn't play games while charging. It's killing battery fast.

Yes the battery drains even while plugged and playing pubg. That's only on stock ROM. In Custom ROMs it charges even when you play.

Updating to Android Q {One UI 2} from Pie reduced gaming performance

I have bought this phone last year {shipped with android pie} and I started playing pubg mobile for the first time with this device. It was an average gaming experience with medium graphics. But after upgrading to One UI 2 {Android 10}, pubg was not playable even in low graphics. It was too laggy. Frustrated by this, i had uninstalled it then.
Now I have rooted this phone with magisk. Is there any way to improve performance? I know that the device is Capable as I played before. Any way to unlock that potential?
Note: I have set "focus on performance" in game booster settings. I also optimized my phone with app booster from galaxy labs.

I have sm-986u. Android 11. It is not smooth pubg mobile smooth extrme grafic mode.
Any suggestion for optimization?
There isn't high performance mode. Enhanced mode don't effect in games.
I hade s20 ultra and it pubg was much more smooth.

The first step is to delete the game with all data and then re-download it again. The second step is to download the game plugins and set a higher frame rate option when running pubg. If you did not take advantage of the previous steps, you may not have reformatted the device after updating from Android 10 to 11
