First time installing crDroid to your K20 Pro, or coming from another ROM:
** Make sure you're running a proper working Recovery (TWRP)
1) Install Recovery to your device
2) Copy fw zip, vendor zip to your device
3) Copy crDroid zip, Gapps zip to your device
4) Boot into Recovery
5) Wipe cache, system, & data (or just cache & system for a dirty flash).
6) Flash firmware & vendor
7) Flash Rom
8) Flash Gapps
9) Boot up
For root, AFTER you boot into the ROM, you can go back to recovery and install Magisk XX.x (whatever is most recent).
Upgrading from earlier version of crDroid:
The only difference between clean flash as above and upgrading is you just wipe system & cache, leaving data. Everything else is the same. ***Remember to always clean flash before reporting problems. Clean flashing is always the best method of ROM install.

Wifi not working

I see that, unlike the unofficial version of this ROM from the other thread, this one requires flashing Chinese firmware, which does not work for my device at all. Can I dirty flash this version over the one I have, without flashing that Chinese firmware which bricks my phone every time I try using it?

Huh this is kn the official crdroid site also, this should b moved to roms section no?

Sorry, in order for the device to work properly, you must flash the vendor and firmware of V10.4.1.0, otherwise there will be problems with WiFi or Sound not working properly.

First of all, I don't think raphael (MI 9T Pro) can't flash raphaels firmware. Sorry, the current prebuilt vendor/kernel version, in order for the device's WiFi and sound to work properly, you must write the firmware and vendor of raphaels (Redmi K20 Pro Premium Edition), you can back up the data and try it.

The previous unofficial version also needs the corresponding firmware and vendor, but on raphael_global, this demand is not very obvious, but raphaels is a K20 Pro series phone released by Xiaomi, so the required firmware and vendor are old. Not applicable on the device

In order to be compatible with all the released series of raphael, I want to use raphaels' firmware and vendor is the best choice.

Mine is Raphael global (Mi 9T Pro), and the previous version of this ROM, apart from Xiaomi.eu Miui 10 and 11, were the only ROMs that worked for my device. All ROMs I've tried that require flashing Chinese stuff never booted on my device, leaving a black screen and removing Recovery access, forcing me to flash Fastboot stock.
Anyway, I don't see the need to try and soft brick my device again. And the previous version of this ROM is excellent. It's sad to see so many devs focusing only on one device and not advising about this soft brick. Anyway, good luck.

What exactly IS the difference between your crDroid and the previous unofficial that's in the correct section?
Like @kevinyohh I am using the other one without issues and I won't flash a vendor on my EEA device that's not made FOR my device.
I don't understand why so many roms require a potentially disruptive vendor cross flash, while others like the previous crDroid work just fine without it

Our device IS raphael - same device, 5 different vendors ... yet some roms work just fine on the global/EEA versions.
The other crDroid was built by an indian dev, yet it didn't require any vendor cross flashing. Chances are that those of us on global/EEA vendors and the old version will not be able to update to this one

I didnt download this ROM, but if it has dtbo.img inside to flash, that is problem if phone goes to soft brick.
only mi logo, then shut down, no access to twrp.
solution could be if we save original dtbo.img from miui firmware, and then reflash with fastboot.
i had same problem with MSM-X ROM, as it has dtbo.img, and with stock miui it cant boot.
maybe it can boot with miui xeu if install before rom, didnt try

Why is it written unofficial in title when the same rom is present in https://crdroid.net/raphael website officially.

Older versions of vendor/firmware will not work properly on raphaels, so I have to use raphaels' vendor/firmware to make all raphael compatible (according to my tests, using raphaels firmware on China raphael is no problem) I am now skeptical May be raphaels' dtbo/vbmeta is not compatible with raphael_global/eea

I don't have dtbo.img in my crdroid, but there is dbbo.img of raphaels in my firmware rom. I think the problem that raphael_global/eea can't be brushed into raphaels firmware is on dtbo.img.

I don't know what causes the problems, I just know that cross-flashing vendors CAN cause issues.
Can you compare your build to the previous one(s) in the other thread to maybe narrow it down? Those builds definitely worked on global/EEA vendor, without the need to flash another one :good:

If I use the old vendor and firmware, then raphaels will not work properly, so I can only use rapalels firmware to adapt to all known raphael devices. I have now uploaded firmware that does not contain dtbo and vbmeta, you can try .

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (gapps). LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit our Gerrit Code Review. Your changelog is whatever was merged into gerrit.

Kernel and GPL concerns
I'm actually not violating any GPL license due to the unreleased kernel source from Huawei.
The kernel used here, it's just the stock one without anykind of modification.
As the kernel sources will be released by our beloved Huawei Opensource department, it'll be added over here.

Is it normal that my phone is stuck at the "your device has been unlocked" screen after I flashed this room and wiped the data partition on my phone(which had twrp+stock rom on emui 5)?

Just format data and wipe cache, dalvick, data and then flash this rom, no need to reflash emui.
But before just remove your password and fingerprint of your actual rom.

Isn't it safer to Wipe Data / Cache via the Oreo No Check Recovery?, I heard that wiping or formatting Data via TWRP will have issues or something
As much as I wanted to try out these Treble ROMs, I'm still a bit unsure since there's a ROM where I need to flash the Stock recovery to wipe data and cache and this one doesn't require that
Also, is the signal still always low like in other Oreo ROMs?, or it's just an incorrect signal measuring?

For this rom just install zip that's it. Ye signal is average on every treble rom. Speedtest gave me similar results between emui 8 and treble roms, and I mostly use 4g so I don't mind just removed signal icon from status bar.

Why not? There must be a way around. Since Mi A2 is A/B partition, search for Pixel Experience GSI ARM64-A/B or something like that.
Nice rom, will try it if already stable.

I do not have the bugs mentioned by you. We wait for others to confirm.
What version of recovery You are using?
I have wiped system, dalvik, cache, data, and formatted data (internal storage). Clean install this zip after that. Same bugs also when I have flashed latest PE system img with twrp over this ROM.
I am using 6/128 A2 version. I think it is very smooth and fast rom, but these bugs are really annoying, especially when front flash turn on when you are using face unlock.

I guess the bug you're talking about turning on the flash when face unlock is not a bug. Actually it only occurs when you are in a low light situations.

Is fingerprint already working?
If it is I will try it on my device too
To be cleared, bugs:
-Flash on front facing camera is ALWAYS ON no meter what light condition is.
-For face unlock, front camera is used to recognize you, so for a second flash comes ON when camera is checking for your face (connected with first bug I wrote)
-Fingerprint is not working at all, and there is no FP reader settings in settings app
-No 4K recording option at all in stock app, gcam port app, open camera app
-Notification light is always on or do not work at all
Those bugs are present in every GSI ROM I have tried (LOS 16, LOS 16 with gapps, Benzo ROM, AOSP 9 latest 3 builds) and in this ROM also. Those bugs were present with A2 stock firmware and A/B GSI images, and also after conversion to 6X using A only images. This is device specific problem A2/6X. Saw some videos on youtube where FP reader works etc, asked about that in comments and didn't get answers. Maybe they used some fixes, mods, or another vendor, boot img, firmware, I don't know...

We are very excited to announce the release of Paranoid Android Quartz, based on Android 10.
On the first launch, you’ll notice a clean setup with a beautiful wallpaper from Hampus Olsson, who teamed up with us again to create several beautiful pieces of artwork. Hampus is a multi-disciplinary artist whose design stands for itself and we’re glad to have him onboard. We also added further UI touches that we believe enhance the overall user experience. You can find all of the Paranoid Android wallpapers and many more in the Abstruct app, included in our builds.
Our builds are based on the Code Aurora Forum Android base, which is optimized for Qualcomm platforms and has a higher degree of performance, battery life, and functionality compared to the Android Open Source Project platform. The Paranoid Android team and contributors are focusing on squashing existing bugs, and implementing and improving features, performance, and stability. We are dedicated to providing a user experience with the stability that you can expect from stock ROMs with best-in-class performance and features to help you get the most out of your device.

Hi, this is my first time flashing custom rom on my Mi 9 SE, though i had experience from my previous devices.
Just asking to be sure, i would need to have TWRP flashed first right? And is there any other necessary tools that i need to flash, like firmware or anything?
And what do you mean by having firmware 11.0.2.0?
EDIT: I understand on the firmware question, i will have to flash 11.0.2.0 firmware, got it. But what is the flashing order?
Hi all,
Thanks for the work!
Somehow due to my inexperience I managed to softbrick my device (stuck at fastboot, fixable by reflashing miui image). So I have a couple of questions:
1. I am going from firmware 11.0.2.0 Europe (QFBEUXM). Does this require to start from another version of the firmware (Global for example)
2. The kernel needs to be flashed separately? Or is it included in the flash package.
Thanks.

Yes, you need to have custom TWRP (SHRP reocommended) wipe dalvik/cache/data/vendor/system, flash 11.0.2 and then flash rom and magisk

No it doesnt matter. Just flash twrp.img from adb and then required wipes, flash 11.0.2 + rom + magisk
kernel is already included.
Do you have a link for the required firmware?
Peace

Tried once more and didn't work (still stuck at fastboot). However, reading somewhere else I found out that when you come from a MIUI Rom (like stock) to AOSP you might need to flash also vbmeta. Tried that and it worked correctly.
So far no problems, great performance.

Could you write down the order of flashing that you used.
Thanks.
Nice ROM, smooth. The only minor "fault" I find is that fingerprint recognition for unlocking the phone isn't great. I usually have to put in the PIN code to unlock. I had this issue on Pixel Experience too. But otherwise all's good.
Peace

This worked for me - factory reset, format data, reboot recovery, flash firmware then flash ROM (as per first post!)

My flashing order when coming from stock MIUI 11.
1. Of course first unlock bootloader.
2. Flash TWRP from @redispade
3. Format Data from TWRP
4. Reboot to TWRP
5. Wipe dalvik/cache/data/vendor/system
6. Copy the ROM and firmware zip files to internal storage.
7. Flash the firmware zip
8. Flash the ROM zip
9. Reboot (it won't reboot to ROM, it will be stuck at flashboot)
10. Connect to the PC and from cmd flash vbmeta (fastboot --disable-verity --disable-verification flash vbmeta vbmeta.img)
11. From cmd type the command "fastboot reboot" and finger's crossed, now you should see the boot screen.
As far as I remember this is what I did. I tried to recall it as much as I could however it was 4 in the morning.

Reporting Bugs
DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab /proc/last_kmsg. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues.

Hi, Im happy that someone has finally done an Android 10 ROM for Redmi 6, but I have a question.
Ive tried to install a custom ROM on my Redmi 6, but it hard bricked...
Have you tried to flash this on a real device (just making sure before I actually install it)?

Hi, I think you misunderstood me. I've tried other ROM that bricked my device, not this.
EDIT: My phone is working fine.
Anyway, thanks for the reply
Thanks for the rom . A great job! I just installed it on my redmi 6 (cereus_Brazil) and for now it's working well. I will continue testing.
Thanks for the ROM.
It's working very well.
There are tiny little issues but none affects general usability since the ROM is rock solid.
1. The first minor issue is the fingerprint(it is working very well) is working like a.. mouse click and if I tap the fingerprint while phone is unlocked, it will select things, start apps, etc.
2. The maximum volume level is lower than stock ROM.
Successfully flashed the ROM but keeps getting pop-ups "android.process.acore keeps stopping".
How to fix?
Hey, I tried flashing this without clearing userdata, but it failed when decrypting them. So I wiped userdata, and the OS booted fine, but I cannot actually write to userdata, so downloading files does not work, taking photos, etc.
How can I fix this? I don’t mind wiping the whole phone again; how should I wipe it to prevent this issue? Cheers.
EDIT: I tried a full wipe, MTP worked fine in TWRP, but after a flash userdata stopped working again.
Hi, i recenyly own this device. And MUI is just not for my taste.
Are you still maintaining this rom?
If yes, then i would very happy to install it. You know, there is not that much custom roms for this one.
Anyway, thank you for your work
Hey there, well i have tried many of the custom roms (unofficial) for my redmi 6 cereus, like carbon rom, pixel experience, pixel experience plus, but none of them worked properly, i was somehow facing issues, like camera isn't working etc and i had to return to the stock miui, well i am tired installing diff roms again and again, will yours work properly, what are the issues i can actually face in this your provided lineage os rom? Have you tried and tested it perfectly? I dont wanna brick my device though....

Hey hi, I'm not very knowledgeable about how to use forums but I try anyway. Since my redmi 6 has a 64-bit architecture, but runs a 32-bit system (I saw it using aida64), does this rom allow it to run in 64-bit or not?

no rom allows the phone to run in 64 bit mode, because the released kernel source is 32 bit

I can not tell you about VoLTE because I do not use it.
I just do not have a led notification while charging but it is not a problem.

Just realized that it's not required since the ROM itself is already in Permissive. Ignore this
So, I was wrong. I assumed that this Android 12 build will have performance issues as it is very common with our past a12 roms. Thankfully I was proven wrong. I can't believe it's smooth. This is worth a try guys!
UPDATED LIST OF BUGS
could you pass me the magisk for redmi 9c? I've been looking and haven't found anything.
Thanks in advance

you can get one from the magisk github repository itself, the apk file is flashable as a zip file
Also, after flashing the ROM, your data in internal storage comes encrypted. This happens often when you flash a12 ROMs, so it's either you use your PC to sideload flashing Magisk via ADB or using your microSD.

Please don't flash it, after the system was turned on, the recovery only turned on and off at the recovery return, I could not enter fastboot, I could not return to stock rom
I've flashed a lot of custom ROMs, but never had so much trouble as with Angelica grrr.! Nusantara is the ROM I want as I use this on my daily driver Redmi 9t and love it...
I've flashed this ROM after failing to get wifi/BT working on the A11 builds, I'm using 12.0.10 base... This A12 ROM bootloops (repeated islands cycle) for over an hour I've left it... Now I can't get PRPB recovery to load, I had it installed on device from previous ROM (Havoc), that is now in effect bootlooping... I've tried fastboot flash recovery and fastboot boot pbrp.img and it bootloops... any ideas how I can get back into recovery mode??? I can't find another recovery for Angelica
Edit: Flashed MIUI from fastboot... Will try CrDroid instead

Actually, I don't build ROMs, I'm just a publisher as the original devs don't want to post their ROMs to the public being exclusive only in the Indonesian community. But by building ROMs, you use device sources which are indicated in the sources section of the post above.
