Issue with data connection after Android 10 update - OnePlus 7 Pro Questions & Answers

Hi everyone,
Ever since I received the stable Android 10 update a few days ago, my data connection has been incredibly unstable. It shows that it's connected to 4G+ with full bars but pages just don't load. it is the same in all apps and browsers.
I have noticed it is worst when I turn the screen on, even if just a couple of minutes have passed since I last used it. And it seems to improve if I force 3G.
I tried turning off the battery saving feature that turns off data when you sleep, but there was no improvement. I tried wiping the cache, but that didn't fix it either.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

wifi problems

hello guys,
i may have a problem with my wifi connection.
i bought two days ago the phone and yesterday i was playing with it in my house. i have some kind of problem when i am connected to my rooter.
when i connected my phone, i started viewing some sites and watching youtube videos.
suddenly i had this problem:
at the browser when i clicked a site, it started load it but never ended, just showing a white page. if i pressed stop and reload then the site was loaded ok.
this happened all the time.
when i returned to youtube the videos started and played for 10-20 seconds and then were freezed because the phone could not get the rest video.
at the same time i had internet access from my rooter as i could navigate at sites from my tablet.
if i close and open my wifi on phone then the connection was ok but after a while (10 mins) this strange behavior started again .
has anyone ever had the same problem;
thanks you
(PS sorry for my english)
What ROM are you using, and did you try to reset the phone and wipe cache/dalvik?
Sent from my HTC One XL using xda app-developers app
the phone is new (2 days old) and its stock
Have you tried simply power-cycling the router? Should be one of the first things you do, anytime you have a WiFi problem, as this will clear it up many times. I think I've seen this help even in cases where other devices work on the WiFi network properly.
yeap, i restarted both router and the phone
i have changed all the settings on the wifi-settings but did not see any progress.
From htc support told me to worj the phone in safe mode, but i have to wait until i return home
besides this problem, i cant connect and the router at my office (i had the same problem with mt s2 after an update, but 1-2 months later sammy rolloed out an update and the problem fixed)
Is security enabled on your WiFi network, and if so, what type (WEP, WPA, WPA2, etc.). You might try switching the encryption type (although WEP is not recommended, as its not very secure). I've seen cases where this has helped various connection problems.
I have had this problem with a lot of phones that friends and family bring by. 90% of the time the problem is a minor setting on the router. Some Android phones don't like AES encryption. If your encryption settings on your router are set to "AES" or "TKIP and AES" try changing it to just TKIP. You should see improvement with your connection.
You may have to change the security settings on other devices that are connected to that router as well to refelect the change.
hey guys,
yesterday evening, when i returned home i checked my router if it was able to change the frequency from 2.4GHz to 5GHz but i could not as at the channel it did not had choises for 5GHz.
i did not change the encryption type.
i restarted the phone, and entered in safe mode. after 10 mins the problem occurred again, i removed chrome, and suddenly the phone started working fine for until 1 hour and so i figured out that the problem was the app chrome, but i left the phone in safe mode and went to bed.
next morning (today) i started watch sites and after 5 minutes the problem occurred again. (i did not turn off the phone from the previous night, still worked in safe mode)
is there any possibility the problem to caused when the phone is in standby? although i have the wifi activation in option always

[HELP] Data drops which cause apps to reload

Currently I am having an issue where I get data drops while on Wi-Fi. My Wi-Fi connection stays connected but I lose all my bars like I don't have service. For example, I will be scrolling down twitter.... My data will drop and restart the app. It also causes other problems like the keyboard closing while I am typing in an app such as hangouts which is really really annoying. It usually drops 3 or 4 times back to back and then stays connected for a few minutes. I first had this problem on PA RC2 so I tried doing a clean install and still had the problem. I then decided to try out Carbon but am still having the same issue. Any help will be greatly appreciated!!

Wifi Issue on 6.0.1

After updating my z5p to 6.0.1 a few days ago, I'm having an issue when my device is on wifi. It'll take forever to load pages on chrome or update message on apps such as line or skype. Browsing reddit takes 10-20 seconds to load pages too. If I switch wifi off and use mobile data, everything is instant and fast. Doing the speedtest, my results will take 10 seconds to start and it'll display my normal internet speeds. Anyone know what the issue is? I've tried wiping cache so far, and factory restore too.

Problem has existed for most people since the start and the crappy Sony developers still haven't fixed it.

Mobile Data Problems after Nougat Update

Hi, my S7 upgraded to Nougat last week and ever since I've noticed web pages don't load and my VoIP line just randomly goes off. What I have found is after a while it seems like the mobile data connection timed out and stops working. If I rifle mobile data off/on it starts working again for a random period of time.
Has anyone else experienced this? I got it on the Samsung Upgrade Programme, so might give them a ring.

Same here, my mobile data stopped working after updated to Nougat, really frustrating, did a network reset, checked APN, even did a factory reset, still same, yes I did pay my internet bill and there's no limit added, please help!!

Wifi limited connection and other issues

Just about the phone and went straight into update while setting up. Everything downloaded fine, update apps etc. Seemed to be doing more updates in the background. Had a few random power offs that I had to plug it in for and would show 0% at 1% I would turn on and it would go back to 100% instantly. A few touch screen issues that seem to have gotten slightly better
Now my big problem I use my phone strictly on wifi but now all wifi connections are showing up as 'limited connection' the issues is the phone not the wifi. I have it on every wifi I've tried and my laptop has no issues with them. I'm trying to avoid a factory reset just to end up with the same issue
Thanks
You've tried all the basic stuff right?
