Wifi occasionally turns off and on for a few seconds - HTC U11 Questions & Answers

Hey there guys! I need opinions about possible wifi problems after updating to pie.
I have heard the pie update had some problems in the past, but a notification came out on muy htc u11 a few days ago about a pie update. I searched at internet about this update and it seemed everything was OK this time.
The update version is 3.35.400.1.
The thing is that only when I play games or watch a video (being more specific, whatever I'm doing on full screen) wifi will occasionally turn off and on for about 3 or 5 consecutive times. It's really annoying because it won't let me play online games without disconnecting me.
I didn't have this problem on Oreo stock rom.
If it helps, I have never modified the software, I have never unlocked bootloader nor anything else.
I have searched on this forum and other web pages about this with no luck.
I tried:
*Forgetting and registering again the wifi connection.
*Making a network reset through network options.
*Using my wifi connection on other smartphones, TV, laptop and they work great.
Just to let you know, before pie update I did not have this issue.
I'm thinking about doing a factory reset, but it is really hard to do so since I have a lot of apps I don't want to reinstall (some of them are work-related and it won't let me install them like any other app on playstore, I would have to go to the company and bla bla bla). I will do it only if necessary.
I appreciate your help! :good:

Wifi just scans and never connects

I just upgraded to 5.1.1 ...I posted an update http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1008702 to my post but assumed most never saw it....
anyhow....ever since moving to the update my wifi just spins. It recognizes that there are services available but it never gives me an option to connect to them. Any ideas?
after a sleep? or after upgrade to 5.1.1?
I have encountered this issue before on tnt lite 4.2. I simply rebooted it and reset your wireless router. and then no issue to me.
check out this thread if it is after a sleep.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1006112&highlight=wifi+scan
I don't 100% remember but I think that there is a custom kernel to fix/improve the wifi problem? Anyone can confirm it?

There were some issues regarding sleep (mostly failures to wake, causing reboots, and CPU throttle getting stuck on sleep).
However, those on the 5.0 TNTl are stuck with the existing kernel. Not to bash TNT - I've used 4.X and 5.X versions and think its great - just that it's in its own little world as far as kernel and recovery options.
no sleep...just straight after the update. I have searched the forum and done anything that looks like it might work. Reset the router several times, stood within 6" of the router. Re-booted probably 100 times.
I went back and cleared the darvlick cache and did a factory reset. Re-installed 5.1 thinking this might help but from my noob eyes it looks like 5.1.1 is still running (based on the background wallpaper only).
That is the frustrating thing for me...if this happened on my pc I would go get a new driver or reinstall the hardware and I would be back up and running...with Android and ROM I am completely lost.
++UPDATE++
Just checked into the hotel and the wifi works on an open connection. I really don't want to open my home network if can avoid it...typical suburban cul de sac with too many people that would to steal some wifi

No connection to LG G Watch since 6.0 update.

Hey guys,
2 days ago I updated my German z5 due pcc to Android 6.0. Since that I'm facing issues with my smartwatch. Directly after the update, I didn't get any connection to my watch again. I tried do reset the watch and installed android wear app new. Luckily the first connection is always possible, but after first setup I´m not able to connect again. Does anyone has another hint, then reset my z5 like the support of Sony did? I don´t have the feeling, that a reset would, because it is obviously a Bluetooth issue. Thanks for any help and see the screenshot attached. The screenshot shows, how android wear is always stopping when trying to get a connection.
Update:
Yesterday something strange happened. I settled my watch the whole day in it's loading station and in the evening I saw, that my watch was muted like my phone was. When I opened up android wear, I saw my watch was connected, also every app was synced. So I started to install some new wear app and the all get synced. But when I pulled up my watch from the loading station, the connection immediately got lost and until now, I'm not able to connect again. Now I'm pretty sure it is an Bluetooth bug, coming with the android 6.0 update of my z5.

So I have been reading about and there are loads of bluetooth issues with Marshmallow even with googles own Nexus devices I know it's not going to help you... http://ausdroid.net/2015/11/17/google-working-fix-nexus-6p-bluetooth-issues/ so I think google need to understand what the problem is a provide a fix for the other manufacturers to include.
My best guess is bluetooth is not behaving nicely in the new google ART cache which is supposed to fully replace delvik in Marshmallow.

[Completed] Please help me revert to stock. Cyanogenmod totally broke my phone.

Hello all. Several months ago, I updated my phone to cyanogenmod 13 following the instructions in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/mot.../moto-maxx-xt1225-droid-turbo-xt1254-t3315912
At first it seemed cool. Then, randomly the cell networks would drop out and not work randomly, regardless of how good the reception was. This left my phone dangerously useless. Still I tried waiting and updating. I updated for months and the issue was never fixed. Today, I can no longer access cyanogenmod updates, or google play, over wifi. Both show connection error. I can access both fine over 3G connection ONLY. I can use internet in my browser, and the speed is great with WIFI. The WIFI is working correctly for all other apps except cyanogenmod updates and google play. I am so done with this program. It has caused nothing but trouble and is the opposite of what I wanted, ease of use and a more reliable phone. Please someone help he revert to stock. I can not find information anywhere on the problems i have been having or how to revert to stock. Right now I can not use my phone at all because I can not access google play. I tried re installing cyanogenmod, factory reset, reflashing radio and bootloader, nothing works. Please, and Thank you for any help.

Internet is very slower, pls help

Hi guys, i have really annoying internet problems. For some reason a week ago my wi fi connection got very bad, and its just on my phone. On other devices in house wifi is fine, but in my case there`s a problem. Maybe problem is new update for nougat, i dont know, maybe something else. At first i tried with deleting cache memory and deleting some apps, but that didnt work. Then i checked other devices in my house and they arent lagging.
I hope u will help me, because i bought this phone a month ago and im losing my faith in him.
Problably a simple software issue, like a wrong dns, delete(forget) the wifi from your phone and reconect to it without any manual settings.

I had slow WiFi too, in my case somehow it's caused by the Bluetooth. Whenever it's on, my WiFi slows down from 30 mbps to 1
Have encountered the same problem and only thing I tested, is disabling the Bluetooth or going to Direct Wifi changing the Name and trying a Speedtest then .. All is OK But if you enable/disable Bluetooth again it stops working correctly.
It doesn't work anymore since B402.. And no solving solution found in this last update from Huawei.
Same problem here! since B402 update my wifi gets stuck at 0.5 Mbps if i have bluetooth turned ON. As soon as i turn bluetooth OFF my wifi works great!
Just updated manually with formware finder to version C432B404 and problem fixed!! Attention, it will update 2 version of the firmware: first a B404 normal, and then i get a new B404 (programmer) . Just updated both ad now everything works fine regarding internet speed with bluetooth on.
Had the same problem and it was the google home app for me. Uninstalled it and problem went away. Hope this helps for someone.

App updates hang / delayed notifications

Recently on my Note 10+ (SM-N975U1) running stock Pie and Dec 1 2019 update, I have been experience 2 issues.
Notifications for some apps are delayed
App updates hang on Google Play Store
For the app updates, they stall with "Download Pending" or the download stalls with <100% complete.
Resolution steps that have NOT worked
Clearing cache and data for Google Play Store
Rebooting phone
Rebooting into Safe Mode
Changing from Wifi to Cell Network Data and vice versa
Stop/starting app updates
Current Workaround
Closing/swiping the Google Play Store and opening it again. It will eventually complete downloading after multiple attempts and install/update an app - you will have to repeat this continuously for every app you want to install or update.
Is there anyway to debug this without doing a complete reset?
This is a problem I've had on many phones over the last few years. It took me a while to figure it out but it's bluetooth related. More specifically, I had the "Dynamic Lock" option enabled on my Windows 10 work laptop (which basically just locks my pc when my phone gets far enough away). I disabled this and now all my notifications come immediately and play store updates work as they should. I realize that you may not have that enabled and if that is the case then turn off your bluetooth for a while and see what happens. It worked for me and several others on the samsung community forum.

Thank you! I turned off Bluetooth but nothing happened but after I rebooted with Bluetooth off everything started to work again. Is there a permanent fix for this? I am assuming turning back on Bluetooth will cause this to happen again? The strange thing this never happened to my Note 8.

I have no idea why this happens. What I do know I have had this issue on LG phones, Pixels, and Motorola's. It isn't a Samsung thing. I think it's an Android Bluetooth issue.
This is an old thread - but in case someone else finds it, I came across someone's suspicions in another thread that their Plantronics headset was causing some kind of problem with their Bluetooth. I began unplugging my Savi headset when not in use and it seems to help... YMMV.
This has been going on since Pie; made me upgrade from my Note 8 to Note 10 and it came right back. Infuriating.
You may also want to try to rub a lucky stone and do some chanting as well, because it's about as effective as hoping for a fix after all this time.
