why are you talking about how to get back into recovery while asking him how to put the sound on the boot?

You should disregard those instructions. It doesn't seem to have anything to do with your question (boot animation sound). And the terms are totally scrambled. It's "build number", "developer settings" and "recovery" not "manufacture number", "engineer" (or "designer") or "recuperation". And as Post#3 mentioned, I don't see why this person is putting you in recovery mode, as it doesn't resolve what you are asking.

I don't ever remember this phone having a boot animation sound, either.
I had all oneplus devices since 1+X and I never heard any sound during bootanimation.

Hi,
I am using Nexus 5(rooted). I was trying to customize a boot animate myself. However, it shows nothing after I modified it.
For now, it will show only black screen after the White Google logo with unlock.
I don't know how to fix phone now, screen show nothing. System should be fine. the screen lock is working because I hear the screen lock sound, and I can unlock it. I have the original bootanimation.zip. I can get in the MTP drive when I connect it to my computer . However, I remember the USB debugging mode is off. Is there any way to fix it through computer? Bootloader is working on phone
Thanks
If you have custom recovery, boot into it and adb push
Bootanimation black is common if image is incorrect bit depth. Never heard of it making the rom black too. How long have you left it on for to check?

I did the system back up after I root the nexus 5. is this the custom recovery?
Would you mind tell me more how to do it? Thanks a lot. I just start to use android =(.
I can get in recovery mode, but there is nothing in "restore" section.
I tried to use "wipe" --> "advanced wipe" -->"system" to fix it on fastboot boarder. And, now it stucks at White Google logo. Not even get in to system now.. Help :crying:

You have no OS now you wiped system, either push or sideload a custom rom or flash the stock image.
Ok. Fixed. Thank you for helping all =D
I downloaded the rom here and put it in USB

Oke, glad you fixed it :good:
Bit depth is important when making your own boot images. I don't know if it's changed since donut 1.6 but back then you could not compress the zip either or you would end up with a solid black animation.
If you use 7zip you set compression level to store

whats the solution for boot animation black in samsumg ?
I have a Samsung S6 (SM-G920V) Verizon 32 GB. It was rooted with Ping-Pong Root (apk).
I try to install TWRP. At the restart, my cell phone would not start more. Apparently it was not compatible with my version of mobile phone.
TWRP not installed, so I understand.
When I turn it on, it stays on a light-blue screen.
I try to install a stock firmware with Odin3 but the application remains frozen with the message 'NAND write start!' for several hours. And sometimes the status message 'Set Partition' appears in the box where it should say 'PASS' at the conclusion flashing.
You have a solution? What?
If I can give links to the files you need, also they are grateful.
Are you in download mode with the phone when you are trying to odin back to stock? Silly question but I have to ask.

The bootloader is locked on Verizon. No custom recoveries for our phones.
I had trouble getting Odin to work on mine once. I went back and forth with 3.09 and 3.10, closed odin, opened it back up and it finally took. Try a different USB port if you have one.

Have you tried a factory reset? Go into maintenance mode. Same buttons as download mode but with your phone turned on. As soon as the screen goes black, release the buttons.

I tried, but when I select that option, the phone returns to show the light-blue screen attached to the publication.

What I meant was, what button combination are you using to get into download mode?
Are you doing it like this?
Power Down the Galaxy S6
Press and Hold the Home Button, Power Button and Volume Down Buttons at the Same Time
Continue Holding These Buttons Until You See a Special Download Mode Menu
Once You See that Download Mode Menu, Immediately Let Go of Those Buttons
You’ll Need to Press the Volume Up Button to Accept the Warning
If so, what firmware are you trying to flash? Did you check MD5?
Have you tried a different cable?
Different USB port?
Even a different PC? (If one is available)

Is the file from this post the one you have been trying? With your problem, it should be. This is a full wipe tar.
Also, make sure kies isn't open the same time Odin is.

Yes, I checked MD5 both.
The cable used is provided by Samsung.
I tried three different USB ports, always in the same PC.

If that doesn't work, some people have reported having luck restoring their phones using Samsung Smart Switch. It's main purpose is to transfer data from one phone to another but it also has "Emergency Recovery" and "Software Update and Initialization" sections.
Here is a YouTube video to help you out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y8AZyalTf5Y

Hi guys,
unfortunally i just started have some issues with my OP6.
I was writing in Whatsapp on my way back home when all of the sudden the phone said: "shutting down", which took about 30 seconds and then the phone shut down. After holding the power button im getting a screen with a OnePlus Logo and a keyboard, supposely to insert some kind of password. There is also a button which sais: "Forget password" which gives me a hint that the phone will completely wipe itself if pressed. (which i dont really want to do)
About the phone: Got it on release day and didnt modify anything til date (shame on me). So it was running lates OOS 5.1.8, bootloader locked and no root.
Any idea where is problem is comming from or more importantly, how to fix it?
The pin is your security pin to enter recovery that you set when setting up the phone I would suggest inputting this and wipe cache , don't worry you will see option wipe data / cache select this and will give you 2nd option to just wipe cache do this and reboot see if helps

Yeah I would try not doing that because a user a while back said their phone had rebooted to that screen OP is describing and when they entered their pin it wiped their phone.
Thanks for ur suggestions.
I didnt accidently boot into recovery as this screen is always appearing on boot up so that i cant boot into the OS.
I just tried to put in the pin but it didnt accept. i honestly dont really remember assigning any password because i ususaly want to avoid these kind of issues.
Maybe there's a default password if didn't set one up or poss only way is to factory reset , or try Op support if can't wipe it

There should be no password of any kind for a brand new device. Perhaps Amazon is advertising some kind of a scam seller joint unknowingly? Have you been buying from scammers for years?

There is a way to go into TWRP file browser locate the password file and delete it!

Any chances it's some kind of malware? Sounds very weird to me either.
Damn, that just happened to me. Just upgraded from 9 stable to beta 6, tried to reboot to recovery only to be greeted with that pin screen. I entered my (correct) PIN and it proceded to wipe the phone by itself, no warning whatsoever! Wtf...

You mention it was on airplane mode , no wi-fi so your phone boots up , right? usually when it first boot it should ask you introduce the password of your associated email ( google most cases).
But explain what happened , how you got FRP without reseting the phone ?

It sounds like you're dealing with an MDM lock. FRP doesn't prohibit stock firmware from being flashed, but MDM does. And an MDM lock would also prevent it from being factory reset via the Recovery menu. I was asking for the Download mode picture in order to confirm the MDM status

Might be worth a few more tries. If you're timing or sequencing is off, it doesn't take. Unfortunately this skill isn't made better by stress. I miss 1-2 out 3 attempts at times.
