FRP lock bricked my device? please help - Samsung Galaxy S7 Questions and Answers

I made a huge mistake, unticked OEM unlock in developer settings when I was on DEVBASE rom (G930FXXS6ESGD_DevBase_v6.0_encrypt.zip), and now what I'm able to do is:
- flash combination file: COMBINATION_FA60_G930FXXU3ARI2_CL7964511_QB19635501_REV00_user_mid_noship.tar.md5, this way I am able to enter recovery and download mode.
- flash stock rom via Odin: G930FXXS3ERLF_G930FORX3ERKF_ORX. After flashing, phone reboots blue screen "sotware update", then "Erasing" , unexpectedly restarts before finishing erasing, and then yellow triangle, " no command". Unable to enter recovery(black screen: #fail to open recovery_cause....), device is stuck in bootloop or I can get to Download mode, but can't turn off the phone.
what can I do? any help appreciated:angel:

1. it keeps rebooting and heats up
2. Kies doesn't want to connect, but even if it could....I think there is only 1 way: "Firmware upgrade and initialization" menu.... entering model number SM-G930F, and Serial Number ??????
(I was able to look my serial number up in this Factory Binary rom/Combination rom, but Kies states it's not correct which I believe - it looks kinda weird though. I am unable to find my box, since I got this phone used. I don't want to disassemble the back cover to check it on the battery because I would loose water resistance :/ )

Update: I have the box, also I spot the S/N on the back cover

I'm able to flash via Odin U3/S3 roms only(which are designed to my region), but it doesn't remove FRP LOCK...It was be good if any rom could start the google auth process, cause I have access to my google account, it's a silly thing that I got locked out from my system... :crying:

have you tried entering your own gmail account info in the fields where its asking for the previous users info?

the problem is that I can't even get into this menu, none of the stock roms I'm able to flash are booting up, except the Factory Binary (Combination rom). Even the lowest security rom is S3...? That one is actually not bootlooping, able to turn off device, but not booting up, recovery is working here and download mode.
I'm afraid that only a Z3X box software, with the physical box and cable could save this phone....

After ~20h work finally got into the phone!!!

this tutorial helped!
So the steps:
1. flash your device compatible Combination file with Odin
2. boot up, enable developer options, check usb debugging to be enabled
3. reboot into recovery, do a factory reset
4. enter Download mode
5. repack your device compatible stock rom's "AP.... .tar.md5" file into a new .tar file so it only contains: boot.img, sboot.bin, system.img
6. flash with odin, enjoy!
7. thank to this guy from the video

[help] i9003 stuck in boot loop

HI,
i've been wanting to root and install custom roms on the i9003. i finally got the courage to try to root and do all these things recently, so i rooted the phone using superoneclick.. but i didnt know what to do next, because i wanted to try out custom roms because of what i have been reading on the forums.
so i followed the instructions here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=19442301&postcount=1 and flashed the bagaria.tar found here using ODIN.
but it started looping and kept rebooting over and over again. and got stuck in bootloop. eventually it came up and would respond a bit before going back to the booting sequence, and i noticed that opening CWM automatically sent the phone to booting.
thinking that i did something wrong and afraid that i bricked the device i went to this thread and looked for the dxkp9 stock and used odin with it (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1004647)
it just is stuck on boot loop now.
i've tried removing the battery and trying holding the VOLup home and power to no avail.
its just stuck in boot loop.
It is currently stuck in boot loop and wont do anything. i am really hoping it can still be fixed.. a bit of a sentimental value since this was a phone given to me by my dad, and first smartphone as well..
i would be very grateful for any kind of help.

After flashing step 1, did your phone restart/reboot normally?..what was asking for password? "everything goes well" for step1?
after flashing the files (pda modem etc.) the phone rebooted. but now is asking for a password go further. and when i tried to enter recovery and set it to factory settings it also asks for password before wiping the divice. tried a few times but with no success.

Greetings;
I didnt read all the stuff before...
So my answer may not be the best or accurate. (I'm almost out of time - sorry for that).
Either ways this happens to me when you don't perform a clean Flash (Formating Partitions before Flashing, wiping dalvik and cache) and after Flashing; performing a Factory Reset).
After the last step (Factory Reset) it should boot properly.
If not: Remove Battery, place it back and test if it boots.
From my experience: Downgrading ROM also do this issue. But i fix it by Flashing FULL DDLF2 (always with "clean flash") and then after my ROM Boots; Flashing the ROM i want to use.
Hope this helps.
When i flashed the first step my gt i9003 sl went completely blank except a bright light. Any solution or suggestiom

Unless something has changed, version 6. requires that you flash a special kernel before you can root your phone otherwise you are as you are now, stuck in a boot loop. You should probably download the factory image from Google, and then flash the system image to get rid of what you have done.. Perhaps then your phone will start normally

Also, you mentioned a 'special kernel' what does that mean. All i want to do to my device is install cyanogenmod 12 and for that i believe it needs to be rooted, so i am really confused. What should I do know
I'm having this same problem, and unfortunately, when I start the phone on fastboot, I can not access the recovery mode in order to upload a factory image of nexus 5.
I used the new tool available her for quick flash, and now, I don't have a phone.
First, don't panic. Your phone is still very easy to recover. Unfortunately I can't get you a complete walkthrough here (for now at least), so I'll give you the main idea and you'll have to do your homework (as maybe you should have done before).
1. You need to get fastboot working on your computer. It's included in the Android sdk package, but there might be some easier way to get it. Google it. You might need drivers for your pc too. Google it as well.
2. Then you need to get into fastboot mode on your phone. To do it, hold down power button AND volume down button until it gets into fastboot mode. You will see an android on his back with the cover open. At this point, connect your phone to your pc, open a terminal on your pc and type "fastboot devices" without the quotes "". It should find your phone if fastboot is working. If it doesn't work go back to step 1.
3. Download TWRP recovery on your pc and place the img file in the same folder as your fastboot executable (not mandatory but easier). It can be found here https://dl.twrp.me/hammerhead/
4. Always in fastboot mode, type "fastboot flash recovery twrp-2.8.7.1-hammerhead.img" assuming you downloaded that file, which you should have by the way. It should install fine. If you haven't placed the file in the same directory as your fastboot executable, you will need to provide the path to your img file as well.
5. Then use the volume rocker to switch between modes and choose reboot recovery.
6. You should now be in TWRP recovery. At this point, download a custom kernel (anyone found on xda for hammerhead should do) and push it to your phone. It should be fairly simple with TWRP. Then flash your new kernel using install. It should help you get your phone booting normally. Alternatively, you can download a custom ROM like cm12.1 and flash it altogether. It will install everything needed for your phone to boot up too. Beware if flashing a ROM though, I strongly advice you to do a factory reset before flashing it. You will find that option in the wipe menu.
Hope it helps, let me know if you need further assistance.
Yesterday, I have tried everything to have my computer to recognize the "fastboot" command, and I installed like 2 or 3 different programs for that. With my old Windows 7, I have been able to push a flashed image to fix this issue, using the fastboot command, but with Windows 10, it's always telling me it's not a valid command. I'll keep trying it, otherwise, i'll have to "resurrect" my old Windows XP computer.
Also, I noticed now that, while trying to install the fastboot, as per some files that I could download, but no file has been copied into my computer, not even if I run it as admin.
fixed. but no RECOVERY mode options....
Hi Guys,
Thank you very much for the help, I have finally recovered the phone and running android 6.0 MRA58N but it is not rooted. Now if you don't mind could you teach me how to root because i have checked lots of videos and tuts but none worked for me...
IMPORTANT:
when i am in recovery mode why cannot I access options even when i press volume up + power button and release them at the same time...????
Thanks in advance.
Just flash a custom recovery via fastboot. Just make sure your bootloader is unlocked. Can't link though.
hi guys i have used nexus 5 mobile with cyanogenmod 14.1 .It worked properly in 1 year. after that suddenly switched off and it not properly boot up .i try to switch on my mobile , first it show google with unlock logo properly and when it show cyanogenmod logo it stuck and again show google with unlock logo....i try recovery mode to wipe and flash the same rom ....the process is interrupt at middle stage and again show the google..i try lots of time . after few try that process finished completely without interrupt. then use my mobile 1 day same as i used first time root. after that same problem occur on my mobile ..so help me guys
@[email protected], possible power button problem?

tried to install a 6.0.1 rom and ****ed up my phone so bad.

downloaded twrp 3, was running 5.1.1 on my phone and rooted it. tried to flash a rom and got stuck in a bootloop, now I cant boot into twrp, or anything for that matter. All i can do is hold volume down and power and home and try to ODIN a new bootloader or such and it just fails. what do i do? but when I try to boot into TWRP it goes into a blueish screen with a White exclamation mark saying "An error has occurred while updating the device software. Use the Emergency recovery function in the smart switch PC software. I tried to do that but it didnt even recognize the device. At this point i dont care about the data, I just need a working device
Okay, so I attempted to unroot and flash the stock 5.0.2 software and I got a error on the download screen. It says SW REV. CHECK FAIL. DEVICE: 3. BINARY: 1.
If you have no knox install MM official then flash this kernel tar file (AP) https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B40ItdHKfkyQcTA5bnRPWDg0X28&usp=drive_web#list it will boot to mm 5min :good:
Btw you cann downgrade from 5.1.1 to 5.0.1 you just go up not down

downloaded twrp 3, was running 5.1.1 on my phone and rooted it. tried to flash a rom and got stuck in a bootloop, now I cant boot into twrp, or anything for that matter. All i can do is hold volume down and power and home and try to ODIN a new bootloader or such and it just fails. what do i do? but when I try to boot into TWRP it goes into a blueish screen with a White exclamation mark saying "An error has occurred while updating the device software. Happened to me a lot of times in the past few days trying to get MM, for some weird reason flashing Unikernel always works for me (takes me to recovery screen after, then i select 'reboot now'), and all my data, apps etc are still there

will try and update. thank you. didnt work.
Okay guys so now I need a ROM to flash using ODIN. I tried to download from sammobile but the speeds are too damn slow. What I tried to flash was this file " G920TUVU1AOCG_G920TTMB1AOCG_G920TUVU1AOCG_HOME.tar.md5 " and i got the error 3 to 1.
Download Samfirm from here, XDA itself.
Run samfirm, enter model as G920F and your region code.
It will download from Samsung servers, so high speed.
Now flash using Odin the downloaded file by putting the phone in download mode, (vol down+home+power on).
How did it happen?
Did you try to flash the VOD 6.0.1 and got stuck towards the end at hidden.IMG failing the process?
If yes, then its a two minute job. Just open the 6.0.1 tar archive and look for hidden.IMG extract it anywhere and rename it from "hidden.img" to "hidden.img.tar".
Note flash this hidden.img.tar as AP in download mode, your phone should boot.

May have bricked my phone, need help

I rooted my phone a while ago in like April and for some reason it became unrooted a couple days ago for no apparent reason.
I tried Autoroot without success so then I tried TWRP without success because when I tried to boot into recovery I got a big red screen.
"****" I said but was able to boot up and decided to do a factory restore and then restore the firmware to stock with odin
This proved to be a huge mistake because after factory resetting the phone, it won't boot or go into download mode. It just shows this:
"Recovery not standard enforcing" then

vid: https://www.dropbox.com/s/4488hz6wizmhozj/VID_20160712_132305.mp4?dl=0
Anything I can do or should I just sell it for parts at this point?:
No, it is hard to brick... but you have to follow the instruction carefully... your error is the consequence of ignoring...
Take a breath and start from the beginning... first install via odin a clean original image
How do I install an image with odin if the phone won't go into download mode?

Hello,
1. first, try the normal procedure by pressing POWER+VOL DOWN. This will force your device to hard reboot. When the screen comes black press immediately POWER+VOL DOWN+HOME to get on Download Mode
2. Install Odin on your windows and download the official ROM from the SamMobile's site
3. Not that much ahead the last step. Just open the correct files inside the ROM folder with odin and flash it
| IMPORTANT |
If you really can get to Download Mode DON'T forget to flash the BT file (bootloader) inside the ROM's folder. In other words, flash every file inside that folder and your device will boot
There is no chance of getting bootloop with official firmwares. So just be patient in the very first boot

ROOT J2 PRIME (SM-G532 F/M/G) SUPEREASY 5 steps

now i was looking for how to root my j2 prime because its what i use to login with my vpn then i use a proxy server on it to route all traffic connected to it while its in hotspot mode but it seems proxy servers have their limitations and so im forced to root so i can just hotspot the vpn directly with an app, but after searching i found 3 methods all using superSU which im not comfortable with anymore, all with many steps but in my experice since this phone has got nothing to lose i decided to experiment and boom it worked...

STEPS
1. BOOT PHONE IN DOWNLAOD MODE (power+vold-down+home)
2. FLASH TWRP in the AP OPTION in ODIN (untick auto reboot;very important) then after flash succeeds
3. Pull out battery and boot to recovery (power+vol-up+home)
4. FLASH MAGISK.zip from your SDCARD (Recovery wont be able to mount internal storage so make sure to put the MAGISK.zip in your SDCARD)
5. Reboot and Hello systemless root
credits to this thread where i was searching for root, includes link to 3 methods but mine is the shortest and easiest

I'm unable to start recovery mode. I pull out the battery and after pressing the keys the phone simply goes off. Also I'm unable to enter recovery mode anyway (after turning it off and not flashing anything). That's it, I can't enter stock recovery either.
I tried all button combinations and it just doesn't enter recovery mode.
Never mind, it was probably a faulty button. Pressing with force did the trick. I however employed a bit different path (or perhaps I wrote it down more detailed), which come out more noob like, I'll leave them here for anyone that might use them
Noob, baby steps to root the Samsung Galaxy J2 Prime SM-G532M:
1. Enable developer mode and selected OEM unlocking and USB debug, dunno if it's needed but I did it because in all roots I have seen this is a must.
2. Put the Magisk zip onto a SD card (currently Magisk-v18.0) and put the SD card into the phone. Then I turned off the phone.
3. Turn on the phone into download mode (power+vold-down+home), connect the phone to the PC.
4. Open ODIN and FLASH TWRP file using the AP button (VERY IMPORTANT, uncheck the auto reboot in options, otherwise the recovery goes back to stock I think and the phone will boot into the regular OS, and you'll have to flash TWRP again), wait a few seconds to the flash to finish (odin says PASS! in green).
5. From this screen without touching anything reboot the phone into recovery mode (power+vol-up+home) (just in case press hard the vol+ key). If it boots the phone in regular mode, do steps 2 , 3 and 4 again.
6. FLASH MAGISK.zip from the microSD. When finished wipe Delvik/Cache.
7. Reboot the system. Open the Magisk app (you might have to wait a few seconds for it to appear among on the apps) then press yes when prompted to finish installation as many times (2 times I think). And done, you have your phone rooted.
PD: Magisk can be found here: https://github.com/topjohnwu/Magisk/releases/
As for the TWRP file (twrp_3.1.0-1_sm-g532_5617b.tar), use the one in the link on the OP.

why am i getting an error? it says
"Updater process ended with ERROR: 1
Error installing zip file '/external_sd/Magisk-v17.1.zip' "
can i get some help here?
Good day!
Is disabling dm-verity and force encryption included in the process?
And also, everything works fine but how is that i cannot delete system apps manually? They're returning back after reboot.
Thanks.
Unable to detect the phone -win nor Lin

Something really extrange is happening.
My j2 prime -532G- can't be detected by Windows nor Linux.

I have tryed different usb -not the original one since i lost it-
Even when i start the download mode, nothing happens.

Did the phone trigger an Autoplay window (to ask you if you want "view files", "import media", etc.)
Did the phone appear in the file explorer (as a media player device?) with storage(s)?
