HI,
i've been wanting to root and install custom roms on the i9003. i finally got the courage to try to root and do all these things recently, so i rooted the phone using superoneclick.. but i didnt know what to do next, because i wanted to try out custom roms because of what i have been reading on the forums.
so i followed the instructions here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=19442301&postcount=1 and flashed the bagaria.tar found here using ODIN.
but it started looping and kept rebooting over and over again. and got stuck in bootloop. eventually it came up and would respond a bit before going back to the booting sequence, and i noticed that opening CWM automatically sent the phone to booting.
thinking that i did something wrong and afraid that i bricked the device i went to this thread and looked for the dxkp9 stock and used odin with it (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1004647)
it just is stuck on boot loop now.
i've tried removing the battery and trying holding the VOLup home and power to no avail.
its just stuck in boot loop.
It is currently stuck in boot loop and wont do anything. i am really hoping it can still be fixed.. a bit of a sentimental value since this was a phone given to me by my dad, and first smartphone as well..
i would be very grateful for any kind of help.

After flashing step 1, did your phone restart/reboot normally?..what was asking for password? "everything goes well" for step1?
after flashing the files (pda modem etc.) the phone rebooted. but now is asking for a password go further. and when i tried to enter recovery and set it to factory settings it also asks for password before wiping the divice. tried a few times but with no success.

Greetings;
I didnt read all the stuff before...
So my answer may not be the best or accurate. (I'm almost out of time - sorry for that).
Either ways this happens to me when you don't perform a clean Flash (Formating Partitions before Flashing, wiping dalvik and cache) and after Flashing; performing a Factory Reset).
After the last step (Factory Reset) it should boot properly.
If not: Remove Battery, place it back and test if it boots.
From my experience: Downgrading ROM also do this issue. But i fix it by Flashing FULL DDLF2 (always with "clean flash") and then after my ROM Boots; Flashing the ROM i want to use.
Hope this helps.
When i flashed the first step my gt i9003 sl went completely blank except a bright light. Any solution or suggestiom

This will flash the stock kernel, modem, system, dbdata and cache. There's no need for a pit since we do not have any other OS versions to flash yet that would re-partition your device.
Instructions:
1) Make sure the drivers for the Infuse 4G are installed.
2) Please unzip the .zip file.
3) Run Odin3 v1.81.exe (as administrator if you are on Windows 7)
4) Place your phone into download mode (pull battery, press and hold both Volume keys, put battery in and plug the USB cable in)
5) Make sure your phone shows up in Odin as COM##
5) Click the PDA button and choose the .tar.md5 file in the .zip.
6) Press Start.
7) After it completes, it will reboot your device and should boot up like normal. If it fails on flash see FAQ Question 4 below!
There is ALWAYS risk when flashing your device. Unfortunately, I will not be held responsible. Please use this as a means to get back to stock if something happens.
* DO NOT FLASH PIT (PIT not included).
* DO NOT CHECK ANYTHING IN ODIN EXCEPT "AUTO-REBOOT" AND "F. RESET TIME" (should be checked by default)
FAQ:
Question 1: Why does it have .md5 at the end?
Answer: Its in md5 format so in case your download is corrupted, you dont brick your phone.
Question 2: Can I rename it to just .tar and flash?
Answer: DO NOT rename it from md5 format. If it says the md5 sum is invalid, then it will not flash. Just re-download again and try again.
Question 3: Why does it give an error if i try to open in in 7zip/WinRAR/WinZip?
Answer: It should! Windows doesn't recognize when an md5sum is written to the end of a file. Don't panic!
Question 4: It passed the md5sum check, but failed writing on factoryfs. What do I do?!?
Answer: This is exactly what happened to me. Don't panic. Follow these steps exactly:
* Hold the power button to turn off.
* Make sure Odin is still open.
* Plug the USB cable in and hold the volume keys down at the same time. You will be on the screen with a "Phone ! PC" screen.
* Press Start on Odin.
* Once it completes, it will boot up into recovery. Don't worry about wiping cache or user data. Just choose "Reboot Device".
This flash takes quite a long period of time due to the size of the files. I'd say it took me 5 - 10 minutes for the flash to complete. Be patient! Afterwards it booted up with recovery, and chose Reboot Now.

well use the .tar file in this thread, put it in the pda slot in odin. put the phone in download mode and connect it to the computer. have auto reboot selected. and hit start.
if that doesnt work then try it again except put pit.pit in the pit slot and the .tar from this thread in the phone slot, select repartition, put phone in download mode, connect it to the computer and hit start.

Can you wipe all user data and wipe cache from recovery (power phone off via power button or battery pull, hold both volune keys down, then hold power down until samsung appears on the screen and let go of ONLY power)? That should get you to boot.
This happened to beatblaster when we tested. Then he did the data wipes in recovery and booted up fine.
cant get recovery at all. tried all above. pit doesnt work

TO get into recovery to wipe data and cache, unplug your phone from the USB cable then make sure the phone is powered off. While the device is powered off press and hold the 2 volume buttons then while holding those 2 volume buttons down press and hold the power button. That will get you into recovery. WHile in there, you can wipe user data and wipe cache. Give that a go.
understood. However, as I was able to successfuly get into recovery by that method before attempting the ODIN restore, It will not enter recovery after ODIN flashed the stock.

Whoa. The only thing I can recommend from here is to try to flash via ODIN again or take the brick back to the store and swap for new. Next time, I'd recommend not fixing anything unless it's broken

great!!! since you can enter download mode I am gonna say you the easiest way to get your phone back in running condition..
*Download ODIN (google for the download link or search here in forums)
*Download a stock firmware from samfirmware (www.sammobile.com/firmwares/) or from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1004647 and extract the downloaded file to .tar.md5
*Install samsung USB drivers.
*Get your phone into Download mode and connect it to PC via usb cable.
*Open ODIN and check if the com port section and turned yellow(this means your phone is recognised by ODIN).
*Once the port section is yellow open the PDA section in ODIN and point the downloaded stock firmware in it.(the firmware file should be of format "I9003DDLF2_I9003ODDLF2_I9003DDLE1_HOME.tar.md5").This format is just for example and it may vary depending on the stock ROM you dowloaded.
*Click the start button.
*Once finished the ODIN com port section will turn green and should report "PASS"
*Disconnect your phone and Power on.. wait for some time as its the first boot so it will take time so be patient.

tweeks are to to edit your build.prop and CWM(ClockWorkMOD) which allows you to create a backup point which you can restore via recovery and also let you flash ROM,MOD,etc and SuperUser is the app which comes into play after rooting which give root access to your phone/apps.
@themes:since you are on stock you can download any launcher like go launcher from market and download themes from there
so, how can i install jb or ics themes on my phone, I just want theme not the whole rom. or is there any custom gingerbread rom(stable like stock rom) for installing jb themes..? :0

I have downloaded the frankenstain rom for flashing,But when I try to enter in recovery mode The screen fades and restarting normally. Is there any other settings for installing a rom..?
BTW when I opens the CWM in my menu it shows 'this version of CWM manager should be used with CF-ROOT v5.0 or newer. It appears you are running on a different kernel. Various features have been disabled.' Is that the problem with the kernel i have rooted..?

To enter recovery mode you should press Volume UP+Home Button+Power Button.press it long enough till samsung logo passes by.. and even my screen fades when I try it manually... try it for 4-5 times till you enter in recovery and dont worry when screen fades, its not an issue...
maybe your kernel is not compatible with the present version of CWM and since its not compatible some features might have been disabled and its no big deal....Custom ROM is zip and should be flashed via recovery so that you can wipe data/cache/dalvik..

if you have a CWM recovery then you can go to recovery.. wipe data/cache/dalvik.. the flash rom then again wipe cache/dalvik and reboot... the first reboots always take more time so be patient

Why you're using 4.1.2 recovery for 4.2.2?
PROBLEM SOLVED!
Use this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2560928
WITH ODIN
1. Be sure, that your device is on 4.2.2 stock firmware
2. Be sure that Samsung drivers are installed on your pc. Just install Kies or google for them
3. Download Odin 3.07(google it)
4. Open Odin as administrator
5. Klick on PDA and select *filename*.tar.md5. Check that "F. Reset Time" and "Auto Reboot" are checked and nothing else.
6. Click start and wait until your device reboots.
(If stock flashes back stock recovery automatically(some peoples phones do that))
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
1. Complete guide above until step 4.
2. Klick on PDA and select *filename*.tar.md5. Check that "F. Reset Time" is set and nothing else.
3. Pull out your phones battery.
4. Reboot into recovery(with Home+Power+Volume Up)
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
5. You should get a message to prevent rom from flashing stock revcovery, answer yes
Hi guys in today's topic iam going to tell you that how you can fix any Samsung android phone that is stucked at booting screen.
It doesn't matter that in which point of boot you phone is stucked. It usually happen when you do something wrong while rooting, flashing, modifying, etc with your device. Do worry with the help of this post you will definitely fix your device. And if you have any questions you can comment down below.
So for fixing you device you have to flash a new firmware on your device using Odin.
**Firmware is a file or zip that contains all the partitions of you device.
**Odin is a flash tool that is use to flash firmware files on any Samsung.
1) Download Samsung usb driver from here and install it.
2)Now download Odin 3.07 from here and extract it on you pc. ( There are latest versions available for Odin but i recommend to use this 3.07 version because i think its easy to use and understand.
3) Then download you Samsung device firmware from here.
Now let's start the flashing process!
1) Remove you phone battery and reinsert if you haven't already. If you device battery is non-removable then it's ok.
2) Now press volume down+ home+ power button to boot into download mod.
3) Press volume up key to continue.
4) Now go to your pc and start odin.
5) Then connect your android device to your pc through usb cable. It's better to use the original usb cable that comes with your device.
6) After your device connected you can see "added" message in the Odin message box.
7) Now make sure that Auto reboot and f. time reset is checked and everything is unchecked. It's important!!!!
8) Then click on "PDA" and select the tar.md5 file (Stock firmware) that you have downloaded.
9) And then just click on start to start the flashing process.
** It will take some time to flash and just sit back don't touch your phone or usb.
10) After that you will see a reset or pass message in Odin. You can now disconnect your phone.
11) After that you phone will boot it will take some time to boot for the first time.
12) Sometimes phone still don't start after flashing the stock firmware because the phone has some corrupt data and cache. So if this happen to you the just go to recovery by pressing volume up+ home+ power and then just factory reset your device and clear the cache and then click on reboot.
** In some device when you clear cache fron recovery it doesn't clear it and just reboot the device automatically. If this happen to then the its totally fine.
After that your phone will definitely boot and fixed!!!
So now you can use your device again.

I made a huge mistake, unticked OEM unlock in developer settings when I was on DEVBASE rom (G930FXXS6ESGD_DevBase_v6.0_encrypt.zip), and now what I'm able to do is:
- flash combination file: COMBINATION_FA60_G930FXXU3ARI2_CL7964511_QB19635501_REV00_user_mid_noship.tar.md5, this way I am able to enter recovery and download mode.
- flash stock rom via Odin: G930FXXS3ERLF_G930FORX3ERKF_ORX. After flashing, phone reboots blue screen "sotware update", then "Erasing" , unexpectedly restarts before finishing erasing, and then yellow triangle, " no command". Unable to enter recovery(black screen: #fail to open recovery_cause....), device is stuck in bootloop or I can get to Download mode, but can't turn off the phone.
what can I do? any help appreciated:angel:

1. it keeps rebooting and heats up
2. Kies doesn't want to connect, but even if it could....I think there is only 1 way: "Firmware upgrade and initialization" menu.... entering model number SM-G930F, and Serial Number ??????
(I was able to look my serial number up in this Factory Binary rom/Combination rom, but Kies states it's not correct which I believe - it looks kinda weird though. I am unable to find my box, since I got this phone used. I don't want to disassemble the back cover to check it on the battery because I would loose water resistance :/ )
Update: I have the box, also I spot the S/N on the back cover
I'm able to flash via Odin U3/S3 roms only(which are designed to my region), but it doesn't remove FRP LOCK...It was be good if any rom could start the google auth process, cause I have access to my google account, it's a silly thing that I got locked out from my system... :crying:

have you tried entering your own gmail account info in the fields where its asking for the previous users info?
the problem is that I can't even get into this menu, none of the stock roms I'm able to flash are booting up, except the Factory Binary (Combination rom). Even the lowest security rom is S3...? That one is actually not bootlooping, able to turn off device, but not booting up, recovery is working here and download mode.
I'm afraid that only a Z3X box software, with the physical box and cable could save this phone....
After ~20h work finally got into the phone!!!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NplMF8O2aTk
this tutorial helped!
So the steps:
1. flash your device compatible Combination file with Odin
2. boot up, enable developer options, check usb debugging to be enabled
3. reboot into recovery, do a factory reset
4. enter Download mode
5. repack your device compatible stock rom's "AP.... .tar.md5" file into a new .tar file so it only contains: boot.img, sboot.bin, system.img
6. flash with odin, enjoy!
7. thank to this guy from the video
