I was looking into a Note 5 to root and install custom rom but not much activity on sm-n920p in 2019. I'm assuming that we can downgrade to as low as the fused 3 aboot but not 100%. If so, I plan on getting a 64gb device us cdma.

Probably not until the note 5 or note edge 2 is announced sadly.
just get tmobile version if you need root that bad !
I would think that whatever can root the att note 4 will do job! Seems like they are on the brink of a possible root
Ok ...let me start off by saying im a noob when it comes to rooting anything running lollipop os....i tried to root my sprint samsung galaxy note edge smn915p using cf auto root and bricked it...long story short i took it to my local sprint store and they got it back up and running for me in a half hr...i still want to root my note edge ....BUT SEEMS stupid if there are NO ROMS i can use at all....if someone has any info on my device plz plz help me ....im running lollipop 5.1.1 and my device is the smn915p model ....anyone who is wiling to help me i would really

I have a note edge n15G .running on marshmallow.
I wanted to upgrade to either a note 5 or s7.
However s7 is a bit out of my budget for the moment .and the note 5 I do not find worthy of an upgrade in view of the non expandable memory slot and non removal battery.
Please could ANYONE help me convert my note 4 to an s7
.I tred searching on the orum but got thoroughly confused.
Please help with steps ansd links

I managed to load Dr. Ketan S7 Custom N910 rom on my n915G however it kept rebooting phone and it could not pick network. It looks GREAT tho for the minute of so I could scroll around
but not yet available for N915G, back to Marshmallow 6.0.1

Hello guys, i was able to root my galaxy note 4. I am bit of a novice.
Does rooting help in unlocking the galaxy note 4 for use with other gsm carriers?
Apparently sprint won't do it because its an older model, even though the phone is all paid off.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

The Sm-N920F wasn't released. The SM-N920C is the international variant. If you have an 'F' variant then it means your phone was either a sprint or Verizon variant and was taken to China for the technicians to root and install a custom firmware which is like a mixture of Verizon and sprint. They did that in order to network unlock the phone to be able to support all carriers. That explains why there are no firmwares for your phone. Your best bet is to flash the sprint firmware and even when you do that am pretty sure your phone will be locked to sprint again. So you won't get reception. Do that at your own risk for I won't be responsible if you fry your phone
