Probably not until the note 5 or note edge 2 is announced sadly.

Hi. I have the Note 10.1 which I just gave to the spouse after I bought myself the Note 12.2 LTE from Verizon this evening. I've tried the Chainfire Root Method but it fails every time. Is there a way to root the Verizon Variant, yet?
you tried this? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=50492301

I've tried, to no avail. I have a question, and it may be a silly one, but it's just a question....
I have the Note 3 (also on VZW) and got it rooted. The N3 and Note Pro 12.2 have the same Processor, same amount of storage, Ram, etc.... Would it be possible to use the same Root Method that was used on the N3 to Root the Note Pro 12.2? Just curious.....
Apparently theres a note 4 root that doesnt trip knox.
I figured since note 4 and edge are similiar maybe we could get this done for note edge ?

You should ask the actual dev, he did say send him a PM if you want other devices supported. It should not be that hard for him to port it over.
I just asked the Dev nicely. I also offered to provide any data he needs from my 915V.
So is this available? I want to root my Note Edge without tripping Knox (don't want to lose the warranty). Is it possible? I have the N915G variant.
Thanks!

I looked around and didnt see a forum regarding this. Hey guys/gals I need a little advice on whether or not I should buy the retail note 4 edge. How's development doing on the retail version of the N4-Edge? I def gotta have root as well as bootloader unlock. Should I buy this device or not?
Also if the retail note 4 edge can be bootloader unlocked and rooted would I be able to flash ROMs ment for the dev edition note 4 edge?

Thanks brother I will take a look at the specs on the s7 edge.
Ill probably pass on the s7. I'm leaning towards the huawei mate 8 or mate 9. Both have the specs and development I'm looking for.
So i have a verizon s6 running 7.0
baseband g920vvrs4dqk1
build # nrd90m.g920vvrs4dqk1
security patch nov.1 2017
I also have an at&t s6 edge running 7.0
baseband g925aucs7erc1
build # nrd90m.g925aucs7erc1
security patch march 1 2018
So I've been searching for months looking for info on xda and the web to get root for them but from everything I've found says it's not possible without tripping knox.. but everything seems to either brick, boot-loop or is not legit.
What I want to know is:
Can I get root for either one of them?
I'm not worried about the warranty since they are already expired or Knox since if I can get root I'd like to get rid of it all together and I really want them rooted so I can get a debloat Rom for them and play around with them..
So can someone please help me and give me some good news for Christmas... thanks for any time, help and/or advise it's greatly appreciated and respected
You can't root any AT&T and Verizon variant of S6 series (S6, S6 Edge, S6 Edge Plus) no matter what.

Because the locked bootloader? That sucks.. was hoping it was just because of the warranty and no one wanting to avoid it...

Yeah, the root tool is free. But not others. Just have a try.
Ok I'll give it a shot...
