I looked around and didnt see a forum regarding this. Hey guys/gals I need a little advice on whether or not I should buy the retail note 4 edge. How's development doing on the retail version of the N4-Edge? I def gotta have root as well as bootloader unlock. Should I buy this device or not?
Also if the retail note 4 edge can be bootloader unlocked and rooted would I be able to flash ROMs ment for the dev edition note 4 edge?

Thanks brother I will take a look at the specs on the s7 edge.
Ill probably pass on the s7. I'm leaning towards the huawei mate 8 or mate 9. Both have the specs and development I'm looking for.

Whats up guys Im new to the forums Im not sure if this is the right spot for this topic but iv just only recently figured out about rooting. I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 from Verizon, could any specify me to a page or something where I can find out how to root this phone or to files that I need to root this phone. What are the perks of rooting I already know some, plus will this void my warranty, and is it true that if u unroot your phone before sending it in to your carrier for whatever reason they wont find out you rooted your phone? Thanks for the help to whoever replies.

You can find everything if you make a little search.
See here:
S5 development
And I find a rom, see it's easy.

And for root, root it like other S5 devices.

Hello
For rooting your phone, you could use this article or this thread. You can take a look at both and decide which one is easier to understand . To learn more about flashing whatever ROM you wish to, you can post in the Note 3 Q&A forum where people will be able to guide you better.
Cheers,

I'm considering picking up a J1 prepaid from verizon, but it doesn't look like there's any development for it at all. The model number is sm-j100vpp if that helps.
Cheers

No. You can't use roms for another device on another device. This includes other S3 variants unless it's been ported over.
Do not even attempt to try anything to unlock the bootloader. Its a VZW device and unless someone has already unlocked it which I highly doubt it may never be unlocked

I would love my Sprint Galaxy S5 unlocked please. After putting it on Boost Mobile, Sprint won't take it back.

I have been away from the community since about the Note 10+ due to the impossible chance of rooting the Snap variations at the time. I am wondering if this has been remedied? Is true root still possible on Snapdragon chips? Are awesome ROMs still be developed if so? Is TWRP still a useful and usable tool In this day and age? I'm glad to be back to the community today and I'm desperately hoping that good news will follow in this thread.
Thanks for having me back.
Depends what device and what bootloader version the device is on. Its a paid service now

Really? How do you go about paying? And do you need to pay to access the area where the Mod ROMs would be? So for example, I have a US ATT Snapdragon Galaxy S22 Ultra. From what I see there is no Modded ROMs for it but I do think I saw a root method. So would I need to pay to access a area where Mod ROMs would be?
You need to pay $150 (IIRC) to have your bootloader unlocked.

He's discussing the US model, which is bootloader locked. The root method you posted is for the B and E models, not the U.
