when using vpn to watch netflix usa it works on both, windows 10 and smartphone android 9.0.
using the ssame vpn and streaming server on the android box netflix tells me i am using a proxy and does not work.

Is there a phone app to control my Android HDMI mini PC

Hi all,
As the title says, I'm after one of the following:
1. the ability to emulate a Android TV/Google TV/Chromecast receiver on my android PC (I've seen this ability on other android mini PCs)
2. an app which I can use to control my Android PC in an intuitive way.
I would prefer 1 as this will allow me to use existing apps out there (Android Remote Control, Google TV) which are intuitive and well made. I've see that this is possible on other Android Mini PCs (via turning on an option in the settings menu)
I'm not interested in those bluetooth/wlan mouse/keyboard apps. I'm more after something that allows swiping, has buttons such as home etc. I'm currently using a bluetooth keyboard/mouse which works well. But I'm after something that'll utilise my phone instead. I have an Android and iPhone.
I found some apps however they have the following limitations:
[Android] Android Remote Control: Requires an Android TV
[iOS] Google TV: Requires a Google TV device
The device I have is the following: Amazon: JUSTOP K10A Quad Core Android 4.4 Kitkat TV Box Mini PC With WIFI Bluetooth RK3188 1.6Ghz x4 CPU 2GB Ram 8GB NAND Network Streamer
I can see there's an app called DroidMote available. Is that the best alternative?
Thanks in advance
I use droidmote for my mini droids, Google playstore is your friend, am well pleased with it! Uses Wi-Fi to connect to your droid so plenty stable and fast

Thanks mate. I got droidmote last night but haven't had a chance to use it. Because I have a very old android which I don't use so I would prefer to know if there's a similar app for iPhone
Not a phone app but if your device is rooted, you can install an app called webkey that lets you remote control it from another computer's Web browser. It will display the entire desktop and let you control it using your mouse and keyboard.

Can't run Android TV apps (WWE Network)

Hi, so I have a Shield Tablet (stock, not rooted) and want to watch WWE Network from outside the US, but the WWE Android app requires GPS verification that though I can fake, but the process takes very very long every time I select another video to watch and for some reason the streaming quality is always in SD.
There is a WWE Network app on Google Play for Android TV that doesn't have the GPS verification, but I can't download it with a non-Android TV device. So I grabbed it somewhere else and sideloaded it to my tablet. It did install, but I can't open it. The "Open" text in the window that comes up after sideloading an apk is greyed out or missing (can't remember anymore), and the app is nowhere to be found besides in the app management settings.
I mean, why can't I run the app? Afaik Android TV is a restricted version of the full Android, so the full Android should be able to run Android TV apps, right?. Is there a hack that lets me run Android TV apps on my tablet? Can I perhaps install Android TV on my tablet if nothing else works?
Appreciate any help. Thanks!
Anyone please?

Android TV Box need help

Hello. I have a question about streaming video. I am using a Beelink A1 Android box connected to my TV. Running Android version 7.1.2 and box Build is RK3328. I'm streaming video directly from a website using the box's inbuilt browser. The site allows 3 free streams then requires a payment. It is not a mainstream site.
Clearing the browser's cache and data doesn't restart the quota. I installed Firefox and I get the 3 free streaming quota back. Same thing after this, clear the Firefox cache's doesn't fix it. Uninstall the Firefox browser, then reinstall it and the quota is remembered, so no luck.
This website doesn't ask for any personal details at all so as to participate in the free trial, it's just click a selection and watch it.
I have ROOTed the box hoping to see something associated with the browsers but there is nothing there (not that I know what I'm looking for, anyhow).
Streaming with or without a VPN connection to various world locations makes no difference so I guess it's not recording the IP address. The android box connects via WiFi to the modem.
Can anyone suggest where the counter might be hiding and what tools I might need to reset it please.

Issue Using smart dns with TCL Google TV

Hi All, hoping someone can assist.
I just grabbed a 43inch TCL Google TV.
For the fact it has Google TV as it’s OS so I can easily sideload apps etc.
I typical use a Firestick with a smart dns provider to use my foreign country apps versus where I’m based .. e.g use iPlayer, or Hulu etc.
On this new TV I’ve updated the DNS address, can log into the apps, however it won’t let me play anything as the dns isn’t being detected correctly (apps still think I’m right where I’m sitting in a restricted geo fenced country).
If I add DNS to router level then I can get Hulu to work.
Any idea why the TV powered by Google TV won’t take the dns even though it’s in the settings ?
I think the problem will be fixed when you go into Google TV's own settings to enable playback
drive mad
