Before i say anything, just want to say that i was FAN of Xiaomi phone for almost 4 years, my first phone was Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 (2/16 GB Helio X10) and that phone really was GREAT for that price... that phone had great perfomance for what you pay and also had GREAT QUALITY!!! That phone after almost 3 years is still alive, the only problem with this phone is BATTERY but side from that IT WORKS GREAT!!!
Now, last year i have buy couple Xiaomi phones:
Xiaomi Redmi 4x (For my dad)
Xiaomi Redmi Note 4x (For my nephew)
Xiaomi Redmi 5a (For my Sister)
Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 (Global Version 4/64) for me!!!
Now after 3 month of use Redmi Note 4 (4/64 Global) this phone had Screen Retention that is very bad, right now screen is disaster for that phone, every time you use phone, you see shadows of last app used and icons. This was first time experience with this type of problem so i GOOGLE IT. After couple hours reaserch on net i found out that this is HARDWARE problem because Xiaomi use CHEAP screen called TIENMA PANNEL so to repeair i need to buy screen replacement because all phones that i buy are from ONLINE SHOP and you dont have warranty!!!
Now this same problem is also on my NEPHEW (Redmi Note 4x) he really watch his phone, because he did not go anywhere to save money for his first good phone and after 2-3 months he find out that have THE SAME problem as my phone... at that time i was afraid to buy any new phone from this company because 2/4 phone has the same problem.
But after seeing NEW Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Global Version i could not resist so i did Pre-Order this phone on 29 March (Aliexpress) and after 41 days on 10 May that long awaited phone has arived, this phone was gorgeous, it has great look, great camera, great perfomance and i did pay only 137 euro for 3/32 GB version so i was very happy with my purchase!!! But i did notice that screen was strange, it looked just like my Redmi Note 4 so i GOOGLE "XIAOMI REDMI NOTE 5 SCREEN RETENTION" but i did not see any thread about this problem so that was great news. BUT after couple of weeks i did see that someone have the SAME problem as Redmi Note 4 Screen Retention and at that time i was thinking to sell this phone before it get this problem but i did not wanted because i LOVE IT and i kept it.
Now TONIGHT after playing game (Clash Royale) i did notice on my NEW Redmi Note 5 on TOP LEFT AND TOP RIGHT shadow icons of that game and at that time i realized that THIS PHONE HAS THE SAME F*** PROBLEM!!! Now i'm really mad, really disappointed at this company!!! I can not believe that on 3/5 phone have the same STUPID problem. So i GOOGLE IT again and see what type of screen is my phone... couple hours research i did see that this phone has the same STUPID TIENMA PANNEL!!!
This is the last time for me buying XIAOMI PHONES, i had enough problem with this company and this was my last phone from this company!!!
Please share your expreince with Redmi Note phones, if you have the same problem please let me now down below!!!
Sorry for bad writing because i'm not that good at english!
All phones i did buy from aliexpress
Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Global Version (From Xiaomi Online Store) Screen Retention Problem
Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 Global Version (From HongKong Goldway) Screen Retention Problem
Xiaomi Redmi Note 4x (From HongKong Goldway) Screen Retention Problem
Xiaomi Redmi 4x (From HongKong Goldway) NO PROBLEM
Xiaomi Redmi 5a (From Xiaomi Online Store) For now NO PROBLEM
I got the same phone 4/64 variant with tianma screen. Not a single issue so far. I've been using it for two months with some heavy gaming and everything stills perfect.
I also don't have that issue. Let your phone rest man. And don't always use it on full brightness. Go to display settings > contrast and set to COOL.
Even flagship devices has that problem. What would you choose an amoled burn which is permanent or image retention which is temporary???
Redmi note 5 from gearbest no issue in daily use auto brightness.
Lol, okay. No problems here

Go do research about other phones in this price bracket. People pay 130euros for really good specs, then expect phone to be perfect. Seriously, screen burn in, retention and stuff like that is quite common faults nowadays, even pixels have huge problem with burn in, same for lg.. and those are phones that cost 8x the price of xiaomi. And the fact that majority of users dont have these problems, leads me to believe its the way you use your phone thats harmful. Maybe you always leave it on max brightness, also contrast.
Lot of anti Xiaomi trolls these days... I don't know what people expect... May be it's the AliExpress/wish effect... Low price, low price, ever and ever.

Maybe the reason this individual is hating is due to the frustrations that they've expressed with their post.

How is the touch latency on the oneplus 7 pro?
I know all the previous oneplus had bad touch response time, is the oneplus 7 pro any better?
I've read in a forum someone complaining about this and as a gamer it's very important to me.
I was going to buy the black shark 2 but I think op is a better phone overall.
I've read somewhere that op 7 pro has 135hz touch polling rate, is it true? I cannot find it on the op website. Obviously I'm not talking about the display refresh rate of 90hz.
Guys let me know your opinions asap please.

I've read the same on a few articles in the past but never seen it in a spec list.

Yes, I think is a fake news otherwise it would be on the official spec list.

Any opinions?

well its a modern touchscreen so no theres no latency. i've never had any, ive never seen anyone say they have any. Theres been some updates to adjust the touch sensitivity, but not latency.
None that I know of... It's fast, smooth, high spec's & performance...
At the end I've bought the OnePlus 7 pro...and I have to say that my concerns were unfounded.
This phone is so fast and the touch response is actually very good, I think it's at iPhone level if not better, I don't understand how they can complain about that.
I've compared next to my old phone (pocophone f1) and i was surprised of how much difference there's, the pocophone takes double the time to register the touch and it's very noticeable even the 90hz when scrolling the text is too blurry to read on pocophone while this doesn't happen on the op. I'm very happy about this phone.

Yes iPhone is at same level of smoothness & even better in some areas even at 60 hz. Imagine iPhone running at 90 or 120 hz ?

Scrolling is definitely smoother on OnePlus 7 Pro though
Pocophone users are here as well? Damn they are just spamming everywhere about OnePlus 7 pro. This dude is talking about touch latency on OnePlus phones and he himself uses worst phone ever poco with tons of issues being touch latency on of the major issues on the phone. It is just unbearable to use the phone with such touch latency and there is screen bleeding as a bonus.

Agree, smoothness is the best part of apple products but I'll never buy an overpriced phone/tablet with a limited os.

I didn't had any issues with the pocophone... it is one of the best phone I had. The screen was good quality and very accurate colors, bleeding was not even noticeable. Only issue is the notch that hides the notifications that's was big mistake for Xiaomi, because they wanted to copy the ****ty iPhone.
Touch latency was not only a pocophone issue but most of android phone they have bad latency, i had the OnePlus 6 and it had bad latency as well.

I had issues with my Oneplus One. But I had no issues with my OP3, nor with my 5T and the 7Pro is the fastest phone I ever used by far. So go ahead and buy it if you want.

On the second link they took the measurements from a french website lesnumeriques.com and on the same website they measured the op 7 pro latency at 59ms that's still a very good value.
I don't know how realistic is the value from notebookcheck as in their reviews they never do that measurement.

Hi it seems it works very well on touch latency in daily use. But it still a bit lag if you play games (e.g. PUBG), I saw a video comparison between oneplus 7 pro vs iphone xs max.
Have you got the same problem?

No lag on pubg for me. Just the battery drains quickly.

thanks to reply. so did you just stop playing while it is out of battery or there is a lalternative way to play pubg while charging (i mean the earphone?)
Ever since oneplus fixed the ghost touch, touch latency is below par. Had to switch to aosip custom rom to improve gaming experience.
As you can see on the XDA news, Xiaomi Mi 9 and Redmi K20 have made some mods for their screen refresh rate to run higher than the stock. Hopefully, someone will also make a mod for our OP7 too.
....magari!!!
Would you say that the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 is "fast" in day-to-day use? A higher rating indicates that you think the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 exhibits fantastic performance. Like, is it as fast as your tears when you watch The Titanic?
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
10/10
I didn't watch Titanic. Value for the price is more than a great phone.
It's very snappy. Even after 3 months it performs like brand new at least in my experience.
I'm happy my Redmi Note 7 is faster than my Samsung S7 that replaced it
I agree
Yep after 2 months of use, it's still smooth and easy to use
Miui optimisation issue on note 7s.
I am using pixel experience so experience is good. Very smooth after 6 months of use
slow motions on telegram
hi
my note7 gets slow when shows the motion emojis or gifs on telegram app... but my old phone, galaxy alpha, can show the real motion of everything on this app...
I bought Oneplus 8 pro because of mi10 pro was not available in time when I have done purchase. I consider now return my 8 pro and buy mi 10 pro? Is it worth to do that? Does mi10 pro is overall really much better than 8 pro? I have a lot of Xiaomi accessories and I am used to Xiaomi smartphone. My one concern is miui... How mi10 pro keep background task and Have you noticed notification issue one this device? It was always a huge pain on Xiaomi device and only one reason which prevent me from swapping right now.
I love my MI 10 PRO.
I come from Oneplus and for now I don't miss its software at all. Miui 11 is doing very well. And when Miui 12 arrives, it'll be much better.
Stereo speakers are great for music, videos, etc.
Fast charging is fantastic, and the screen makes me 8 hours on!!!!
They are 2 good phones. I did the same thing but I will keep the OnePlus 8 pro. Do not disturb mode is essential to me, I need to be available for many times in a month during night hours. I need to receive calls from anyone and no notification sound and on the Mi 10 / Mi 10 pro do not disturb mode doesn't work (like most xiaomi phones). Even in miui 12 beta.
So... There is anything else I can do....
Have had both of them same time..they are both great phones,1+8 litle bit smoothier but with 1H less screen sot,mi 10 pro better speakers(best in phone i have heard till now) screens almost same in terms of quality/brightness..
But there is a but..many people having issues with 1+8 pro screens so its a big deal for me that..overall i can call it like a tie in terms of what to choose.

Both phones haves pros and cons.
MI 10 PRO
PROS
Better camera quality with zooms from 2x to 10x. With MIUI 12 it will get better with new functions, night mode 3.0 and new interface.
Better stereo speakers
Good battery life (with 90Hz display it goes from 5 to 8 SoT depending on use) - With MIUI 12 it will receive 120Hz option, i must retest battery life
Good screen (FHD+ is good for resolution and save battery instead of WQHD+)
CONS
108MP camera is not "easy" to use. It's big with a la low f. value. Focus point is very small but natural bokeh is amazing. You should take a lot of pictures to understand how it works.
Big and heavy.
ONEPLUS 8 PRO
PROS
Better UI. Oxygen is faster and smoother
Better support. OnePlus beta is a very good program
Better design of the back
CONS
Good camera setup but not yet a top cameraphone
Battery is slighlty under MI 10 pro (with WQHD and 120HZ from 4 to 5 hours of SoT depending on use - with FHD and 120Hz from 4 to 6 hours)

Hello, about 120HZ on MIUI 12 did you read it somewhere or you just believe that will be?
Thanks in advance.
You missed the wonderful fast charge of the MI 10 PRO. I'm totally impressed.
About the battery life is spectacular. I do 8 hours of screen!!!
About the software, I have to say that my previous mobile was Oneplus and to this day, they don't miss anything.
Miui 11 is a marvel and tomorrow now comes Miui 12 which will be even better.

Does it work?
I come from the OP7 Pro, mainly switched to the Mi 10 Pro because of the camera. Also, the OP8 pro looks too similar to my Op7 Pro IMO. These also got rid of the amazing popup camera. The screen on the op8 pro ist way too curvy at the edge IMO. You can unlock the bootloader on both of them. MIUI 11 runs perfect for me, but Oxygen OS is also perfect IMO.
Just pick the one you prefer.
I come from OnePlus 8 pro and I don't get the fuzz about oxygen os which is very poooooor compared to miui !!!
For example.
In xiaomi.eu rom the music player can act exactly like YouTube premium. No ads and can play in the background
With mi browser YouTube with no ads and you can easily download media from Facebook and Instagram.
Actually there is a video tools can make any video app play in the background
Plus battery life and charging speeds
Speakers quality
Camera is better quality and functions
Qhd is nice. But nah.

First of all trust me It is OVERRATED!
Used to be the snappiest yes but not anymore for a long time. Please check phonebuff speed test between the oneplus 7 pro and Samsung note 10 plus... Yes Samsung oneui !!!! and you will be shocked that even Samsung is faster!
It's a poor limited os compared to others! Reviewers is paid to say it's snappy. That's all
