Hidden feature in Samsung ONE UI? - General Questions and Answers

Hi there,
I've looked all over the internet and couldn't find this so please apologies if someone else has posted it already.
Samsung Galaxy S10E. Lock screen notifications ON. Go to your locked screen, now tap and hold briefly on the locked screen, you notice a short vibration, then swipe up and you get ALL of your notifications. Please see screenshot. How do I get rid of that? It's very strange because even DELETED notifications appear there.

I don't have this device myself, but I believe that one or more of the following threads may be helpful for what you are looking for. Don't be afraid to ask for some member guidance within one of them too.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3929592
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3909052

Some of these threads are located within the S10 area of the forum. This is only because many of the features and settings are the same for both the S10 & S10e.
Good Luck!

WhatsApp: Function Inquiry

I am really sorry to ask this question, not sure if its answered before but I was wondering if its possible to see who has you on their WhatsApp contact list? Are there any indications to determine that (Like seeing their online status etc.)?
And also if there are any mods or apps that can find out? Im so sorry if this has been answered a million times, or if this topic is misplaced, if so please direct me to the right section.
Thanks!

[Completed] [Q] Unwanted notifications - how to stop them?

Hi,
I use Tapatalk on Windows and Android, and get DOZENS of XDA notifications every day from forums I have never visited or subscribed to.
How do I get XDA to stop sending these random notifications?
Thanks,
Mark.
Hi,
Go to the app settings, notifications and unchecked the categories you don't want notification for. Or all of them.
?
Hi
The android one is set as I like it, just subscribed topics and forums. At present just one topic no forums... So I shouldn't be getting all this stuff!
The windows version doesn't seem to have those settings, I'll look again later. Tx.
When subscribed to a forum section and forum section notification is on... You get a notification about every single new thread created.

Hi darth.
I am subscribed only to one thread and no forums... but got 37 notifications in a day, see the jpeg attached...
So frustrating.
Ah! Those are notifications of posts of yours that were quoted. In Tapatalk and xda app you can uncheck notification of quoted posts. Honestly, the notification system can be whacky tho..... See here for where I mean,

Thanks Darth,
that pic I attached I guess do not explain why I get notifications for forums I am not subscribed to... and my Tapatalk app is set for getting NO notifications from subscribed forums.
I will check out that other thread you mentioned.
Cheers,
Mark.

Again, those 37 quotes are from your posts that have been quoted by others.
I don't know about your other notifications, but that's what those 37 are. ?
I just quoted so, so there's another. ?
See these images,
Not subscribed to any forums
Subscribed to ONE topic
And see the type of notification I am getting to some new thread in a forum I have never seen...
Not subscribed to any forums:
Subscribed to ONE thread only (this thread!):
Yet I keep on getting these notifications for new threads that I am not interested in receiving... how do I stop these:
I'd love to get to the bottom of this...
Tx
Mark.
I'm Confused.... You Began saying the Apps were sending you notifications, but your screen shots are the browser. Is your issue notifications in general, like in the browser, 9r received ones on your device from the apps... Which I showed you how to turn off.
Well, I showed you where to ask about app issues, and for notification issues in general, Please ask here...

XDA Assist is here to help navigate the site, not for support.... So not much more to discuss here.
Good luck! Thread closed.

[Completed] Help! Keep getting "Ubertesters" update message

Hey guys,
For the past week I keep getting these annoying pop up fullscreen messages, something like:
"Please, install the latest Ubertesters hub version"
I can't recall downloaded any app lately, and I have no idea on where to begin...
What can I do?
Thanks!
Help, anyone?
Went through my app list, and I can't seem to find anything I didn't have for a long time time now. Nothing seems suspicious.
I have no idea what might cause this and it's freaking me out!

Cannot use bluetooth: "Bluetooth Share keeps stopping"

Bluetooth share on my moto g5 plus doesn't work (Android 7.0). Every time I try to enable bluetooth, the application keeps stopping (crashes at startup).
I tried all of the suggestions I found on the net:
I disabled Google Play Protect
I reset all application settings
I cleared the application cache
I booted to safe mode
I even tried a factory reset
None of these solved the problem.
I got a backtrace but it doesn't look very useful to me (I'll try to attach it).
I noticed an empty /bt_firmware folder – is this normal? Should it contain something?
What could be the cause of this problem? How can I go about debugging it?
As a newbie, I cannot post a link to the backtrace, but it's quite long, so I'm not sure whether I should post it here…

With that stated...
This is a tough one for locating a thread reflecting this specific issue but, I'm hoping that you'll be able to obtain some member guidance within the following thread that's specific to your device.

Thanks for the hint!
I downloaded potter_NPNS25.137-93-4.zip from there, flashed it using twrp and rebooted. Now bluetooth works again. Even after reinstalling Magisk via twrp.

I'm happy to see that you had located a solution.
I'm not discouraging you from posting a question where you did but, often times, by searching, asking, etc... within the device specific area of the forum, your more likely to obtain something from someone who also has the same device.
Though, sometimes support can be better found elsewhere too...
I just try to help members by pointing the way to, hopefully, get what they need.
Good Luck!

And I'm glad you did. I'm new to Smartphones and the xda forums. This place is huge and kind of intimidating. Often, you have to wade through pages and pages of answers, sorting out the "me too" and "thanks" postings until finding something useful. Finding the right place to ask questions and search for answers is not straightforward, IMO.

I'll give you a, brief, heads up regarding the way to search the XDA Forum...
Basically, the XDA Forum (like Google and many others) uses the Metadata system.
The optimal way (but, not the only way of course) to search for something somewhere that uses this system is very simply put using 1 word "Keyword(s)".
What do I mean by keyword?
For example...
[I'm just going to try to explain this briefly because there's more to it but, you should get the point from the following.]
If I'm looking for a way to Root the Galaxy S3, I would remember to omit words like "AND", "OR", "IF", "I", etc...
If you search using something like "How do I Root the Galaxy S3", your results will be huge and would include results that only have (or a combination of) specific words like "the", "I", "Do", etc...
So you would use keyword searching like "S3 Root", "GS3 Root", etc... as well as other keywords that describe the device.
This is not a thorough and complete description (I do intend to create a Guide/Tutorial regarding this sometime) but, it should give you an idea.
I do wish you the best of luck!!!

Questions about no active profile in Tasker and pesky notifications in Gmail

Hi everyone,
that's it I have received my Note 9, coming from an iPhone X. This is quite a huge change but this phone is great ! I also enjoy the amount of customization that can be done, although this can be a bit overwhelming. I have 2 questions however about things that "bother" me a bit :
1. I discovered the great app xda gestures and it works great. However, I was a bit dissatisfied of the way it works in Messages or anywhere where there is a textbox so I found a tasker profile called "Hide XDA Navigation Gestures NavBar While Typing". I am no Tasker expert but I have read forums so I was able to rename the downloaded file to .prf.xml and then import it as a profile in Tasker. However, in the notification area I keep having the message 'no active tasker profile" whereas I have activated the profile. I have also read that I had to grant Tasker some permissions through ADB, which I did (I think...I did not get any confirmation message). Anything else I might have forgotten ?
2. I have set gmail to only give me notifications for high priority emails; still, I keep getting notifications for emails I receive from forums, even though I have assigned them to a Label and the email skip the inbox. So I don't understand why they keep coming.
thanks for your help !

I don't have this device but, if you've got a Tasker question, your best bet is to post this question within the following Tasker thread for some member guidance.
