I want to buy the kaiser but i have t-mobile usa... can anyone tell me if this phone can be sim unlocked ????
HTC Kaiser is sim unlocked ....
ATT tilt is sim locked, but you can easily get unlocked tilt too.
So,
I have an ATT FUZE phone and service right now and it is SIM Unlocked.
I can also install any ROM (SuperCID?) and I just flashed the rom to ATT's latest Radio/WM6.1 last week.
I'm considering switching to Verizon using the same phone because ATT reception is crap
I'm assuming I can still use the latest ATT Radio (they're all GSM right?) and won't have to reflash the radio to Verizon specific? I should just be able to get a Verizon SIM card and everything else should work straight off the bat no? I know the phone will work with the Verizon Sim.
My concerns are the data -radio wise and speed and reliability with the ATT (specific?) radio.
Thoughts?
Sprint and Verizon are both CDMA.

Well the problem is that AT&T is GSM Verizon is CDMA the phone will NOT work on the Verizon network. The only SIM cards for Verizon is for international calling not domestic and will not work in the states. Sounds like a great plan but it will NOT work. Sorry for the bad news.....
the Fuze is a GSM phone, thus it will not work on Sprint or Verizon. The CDMA version of the phone is the Sprint Touch Pro (will work on Verizon or Sprint). I would see your Fuze on ebay, and us the money to buy the Sprint Touch Pro then switch to Verizon.
DO NO BUY THE VERIZON TOUCH PRO. IT HAS LESS RAM (192mb vs Sprint's 288mb). The Verizon version of the Touch Pro is a waste of money, so make sure to get the Sprint version - you can use it on either network.
I'm moving to straight talk soon, and on their website when you choose a sim card you can pick either an att sim or a sim for unlocked phones. What is the difference. I thought all unlocked phones work on att and vice versa.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using XDA
Since you never got an answer just choose the AT&T SIM, that way the phone doesn't need to be unlocked if you are using a normal AT&T device.
So any overseas unlocked device will work on ATT? Like an international hox and sgs3?
I am unfamiliar with StraightTalk and what it is, but generally an AT&T sim card only works on AT&T and an unlocked phone works with any sim card ready carrier, which would probably also include AT&T. I think you then need to go get the sim card from the carrier, or at least have it activated by them.
I have a Sprint HTC 8xt phone from a friend, is there anyway i can use it with tmobile network? I know Sprint is CDMA but there is a SIM card slot on the phone. So i'm wondering can it be hacked? or unlocked?
Thanks everyone.
Hello,
I have called Sprint many times, after they keep telling me it is unlocked domestically and internationally, I finally gave up. The phone simply says to contact sprint to unlock. I have no idea what to do. When I press UCCI Unlock it gives me an internal error(407). I tried flashing unlocked firmware (U1) But it does not work on that either. Tried booting up with T-Mobile sim inside, still same result. What to do?
Please help!
Is Sprint GSM? I thought it was CDMA.
T-Mobile is GSM.
What is the message your phone displays when inserting the T-Mobile SIM card?
As you know, Sprint is a CDMA network and T-Mobile is a GSM network, but the S8 supports both types. but you need to make sure the SIMs are both activated and the phone doesn't asking for an unlocking code.
Also, check if your phone's IMEI is clean in sprint database http://imeipro.info/sprint_imei_check.html
