I have been having issues with YouTube crashing and was curious if anyone else has been having the same problem. I'm currently on caulkin's 30O 11S build, but the force closes and freezing was happening on vanilla AOSP also.
When the problem first began happening, videos would play without a hitch but pausing or locking the screen caused youtube to freeze and subsequently crash. YouTube would not work until I rebooted the phone. I have attached a log if anyone is able to decipher what it means.

I'm still facing random reboots and app crashes on my nexus 5 Marshmallow .Have already tried every other method but to no avail .I have replaced my power button still facing random reboots.Faced the same in lollipop as well but now reboots are more frequent in 6.0 .Phone suddenly reboots after I update any app .And then that specific app gets optimized. And this is not the case with only third party apps but also the Google apps .Then those random app crashes as well. So frustrating! And these problems started since the release of lollipop in 2014 and have never been able to fix it .Have already cleared cache and have already factory resetted so many times .And I don't think it's an hardware issue .Just yesterday I had gone to LG service centre and they downgraded my phone to Kitkat and phone worked flawless .No random reboots nor any app crashes . I had purchased the nexus 5 thinking that my phone will never feel old because of the updates .But really such a pathetic experience this has been .Anyway I have captured a bug report .Please let me know where should I mail it .Thanks !
Also forget to mention my phone reboots with the Lollipop/marshmallow logo and not the Google logo.
Phone reboots only when I'm using it .But when I play games even for hours it won't reboot .But in normal usage it reboots once in every 10 minutes in Marshmallow .This was the case with 5.0 too but later with all the Lollipop updates it reduced to twice a day
I facing same problem . After i remove WhatsApp everything is ok. I also looking for solution
Hi,
The pixel 2 crashing, if you are listening to songs on spotify and try to use camera ( same bug as pixel 3 but instead of removing the app, spotify, whole phone crash and shutdown). Display shows weird lines(Like, it got hardware issue or something).
Has anybody had this issue?
or
can someone try this and report?
1. Start spotify, play some song.
2. Open Camera app, try to click a picture.
3. Boom.. phone crash.
Just tried the method you suggested and mine worked absolutely fine.

What android version (build) are you using and spotify app version?
Mine is also working now.. I have heard, that this bug doesn't occur every time on pixel 3. It is definitely a memory management bug.
9.0.0 (PPR2.181005.003, Oct 2018) and spotify 8.4.75.670
I am using October OTA and spotify 8.4.75.670, and works normal.
It happen with Snapchat and Google music in my pixel2, now before I enter Snapchat I have to clear snapchat cache then I can use snapchat but without any app using the camera or speakers in the background. This problem started with my Pixel 2 before Android 8.1 update and it still.
just purchased my Poco f2 Pro and have been using it for 4 days now. On my 2nd day, the phone suddenly hangs up and freezes when i turned on the ultra savings modr. I force reboot it and it worked fine. The next day, random things triggers the freeze such as screenshotting or even fingerprint scanning. Nothing fixes it since it wouldnt respond to anything and i end up always rebooting it. This time, the one handed mode stopped working too. I already did a factory reset and it still freezes. Does anyone experience the same thing? How to fix this?
Hello, does anyone experience lag issues with the MIUI 12 update? Specifically MIUI 12.0.2 Global Stable (QJKEUXM).
There are really noticeable frame drops on the system UI itself, the pulling down of Control Center/Notifications panel is laggy. Opening the Poco launcher apps drawer is like 5-10 fps. Scrolling is really not smooth. Frame drops are also present in MLBB.
I haven't encountered such issues. Have you tried performing a factory reset?
Fixed
The lag issue was gone after I restarted the phone. I haven't performed any factory reset or debloat it.
Hi. For me ui, net browsing and gaming runs perfectly. But i have problem with suttering/frameskips in 60fps videos - on youtube, vlc player, even in camera app viewer. Sometimes its ok and the movies play perfectly smooth, but after some time the problem come back. Looks like software bug, maybe the problem is with cpu/gpu driver that accelerate decoding.
I can confirm lagging issue on some videos. Looks like an update to MIUI 12 caused that.
I have a problem with all videos played through Canal + Europe application even in 480p and 1080p. It doesn't matter.
Sometimes it is happening in HBO go app as well so it is not application issue.
Looks like some video drivers, codecs are missing for CPU ?
Confirmed
I can confirm this problem on my GFs poco f2 pro. After some time it just started lagging while pulling down the notifications menu. Restarting solves the problem temporarily but it occurs again after some time.
I've had no issues, however I did do a factory reset after the major update.

Miui 12 definitely lags more than miui 11 but the battery life is pretty good. For me the things that bother me are full screen gesture stutters and YouTube portrait to landscape rotation stutter which doesn't happen all the time only every once in a while. If you reboot your phone and try swiping down notifications at the start you will also notice stutter but this goes away after a few seconds. It may come back again the longer you use it without rebooting and could need a reboot again.
Miui 12 android 11 fixes some of these stutters but the battery life wasn't as good as Android 10 when I tested it and there are a few incompatible apps for now like 3rd party launchers and gestures. One of the ways to fix miui system gesture and launcher lag is to actually use 3rd party apps. I'm hoping updates improve battery life but keep the smooth performance. Either that or wait for custom roms because snapdragon 865 should not be thls sluggish and I think many know it's because of miui

Me too
That "major update" is from Android 10 to 11? In that case, surely it is better to make a factory reset.
No issues so far.... Still as fast as lightning....

I was having same problems, especially with gestures on, with MIUI12 update on Redmi note 8t (willow). 12.0.1.0 didn't resolve anything, but the newest (12.0.2.0 RU) update made recents list / task view lag disappear. What was left is the most prominent lag, the one when swiping up to enter recents from the home screen. Switching to an alternative launcher (Nova Launcher) resolved that, though the entire sequence of crossfading from home screen to recents is unable to render, which i don't mind, as long as it runs smooth.
Now, i've done some changes in developer options, namely disabling logging and system tracing. Im not 100% sure, but it seems that increasing system tracing buffer to the maximum also made some change, but nothing i could do would make the home screen to recents lag disappear.
