Hi I have a problem while traveling I always lost redmi note 7 pro GPS signal lost.
1. I done no restriction for Google map in security battery saving.
2. I update new miui but still GPS signal lost.
Can anybody please tell it's for me or others user a similar issue of GPS signal lost in RMN7 pro.
Unfortunately, depending on the batch, some Redmi Note 7 Pro suffers from a hardware issue rendering the GPS nearly unusable. You can find out if yours suffer from it by using GPS test apps. That's the bad news. The good news is it's a relatively easy and free fix. It takes some time if you do not have warranty.

GPS test app I used only the way on road I need to refresh it many times. But GPS lose signal. Again it come after reboot.
So my point is same issues coming on other redmi note 7 pro?
Or it's my phone h/w problem I am confuse now.

I got the info from a lengthy discussion on the Chinese Miui forum. My understanding is that there is no clear verdict on the indoor location. However, as long as you get over 30+ satellite connections in the test apps outdoor, your device has no hardware GPS issue. I believe you can also use the built in Engineering Mode to test this.

Unfortunately, from what you described, your device may suffer from the GPS hardware issue. Refer to my other reply to find out for certain. Fortunately, it's a relatively easy fix. If you have access to Xiaomi warranty, the repair center will fix it for you in under 15 minutes. If not, you do have to open up the back of device, locate the GPS antenna, and rub them slightly to remove some sort of coating. This will solve the issue 100%.
Solving Xiaomi Redmi Note 7's GPS hardware problem
Can anyone confirm being able to have solved the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7's weak (or no) GPS signal by opening it up and rubbing the GPS antenna? Also, would it be possible to post pictures, indicating the GPS antenna that causes this problem to occur? Thanks!
Use app called "GPS Locker"
1. Open GPS Locker
2. Wait until the gps is locked
3. Open waze/google map

Magiskmanager, download and search for gps.
There is a fix module or replace the gps.conf with the right of ur country

Thanks for the help! I tried this solution, and at first, it seemed to help. Very good satellite reception and great lock time. However, after using my phone during the day like I normally would, my GPS applications (as well as the "GPS Locker" app) had the weak GPS reception problem again. The only way to fix this is by rebooting my phone every time that I want to use a GPS application. I'm using a Redmi Note 7 (bought in Europe) running Pixel Experience 9.0. I'm currently located in Australia. Replacing the gps.conf with one created specifically for Australia has the same results. Any ideas?

U can use magisk module. To fix it
I have gone to service center and he formatted the mobile . Now it's working fine.
I had removed the various mi applications via ADB usb.
Now, I ll not remove any software, just hide them
is there a gps bug in 10.3.13?
i just noticed it yesterday when i open google maps and saw that it wasn't able to set the gps location.
the weather is good in my area, not cloudy and im in an open space so i don't know what gives. did a couple of restart already but to no avail.

I got 7 new redmi note 7 devices comming in for colleagues and am wondering if I should go through the pain of unlocking all the bootloaders (do I need to do the weeks wait on each or can I just login with an "unlocked" xiaomi account?). Problem I had with the previous 3 devices was on a EU device so maybe Global is better?

I didn't have that problem before, with the version that came from the factory, everything worked fine. What I can do?

Hi. I have upgraded to miui 11 on my note 7 pro. I have noticed that when i am navigating in Google maps as soon as I keep my phone down on my lap or seat it looses gps . As long as it is in my hand it works. Miui10 has no gps problem. Any fix ?

Sometimes the problem may be with roaming and the gps is not connected to satellite. I bought my phone in Singapore and I'm using it in india. I tried the following method and it works great ( don't put your mobile in batterysaver mode, give all permissions for maps manually, battery saver-no restrictions). New user so i can't put link so Google the following to get the link in mi website (thread-2129254-1-0).
I have a redmi 4x that after updating to miui 10 did the same, it sees the satellites but wont use any. I send reports to xiaomi, updates came and nothing changed so I decided to replace it with the note 7. Unfortunately after updating to miui 11 the gps acted in the same way. I updated the redmi 4x to miui 11 since I read that was available but the gps problem persisted. yesterday I unlocked it, put twrp, and installed lineage os and the problem was solved, it sees les satellites but gets a fix in seconds and is accurate so it seems is a miui problem.

GPS problems on the Oneplus One
Is there anyone else experiencing problems with their GPS? It actually started yesterday on the trip to North Carolina to play golf. I couldn't get a lock on the GPS with google maps for GPS status app. I finally did and it would come and go. I used my golf gps app and after 15 seconds it got a lock and worked all day. I needed to use my maps today for navigation and it seemed to be doing fine until I got near my destination lost GPS lock. I did regain it but I'm wondering if anybody else is having this problem? It was working fine up until yesterday

Well I have tried everything and I'm still having GPS problems. When I do get a fast lock now it will freeze somewhere during navigation and lose GPS. My golf GPS app will take a but but will do OK once a lock is obtained. I can't believe I'm the only one with this problem. Sent from my One using XDA Free mobile app
I use the GPS all day for work so it on/off multiple times, I always set my phones with fastergps so don't know if there was a problem on stock GPS info... Have you checked it set to use 100% hardware GPS and not part software lock etc.. Sent from Uranus via OnePlus

I can recommend the app "GPS Status", this allows you to quickly see why you lost GPS lock and how near to regaining it is. There are many reasons why you could have lost the lock other than possible hardware defects.
I have the same problem though. Usually takes below 10 secs to lock but sometimes it takes forever to get a lock on. But rebooting solves it...

Attempted 2x yesterday and 1x today, still no luck. Also tried Waze just in case it was an issue with the app but no luck. Really frustrating. I looked on the 1+ forum and looks like someone else reported the same issue. Did any of those other recommended apps make the situation better for you?

Click to collapse Try reboot your phone, switch on data connection and High Accuracy location settings. Under open area it should lock under 10 seconds. I am pretty sure it has something to do with this buggy CM11s.

I did try rebooting previously but I may have been in the parking garage already which is a reason it didn't work.
Oneplus one GPS problem I am experiencing the same issue. No gps satellite reception at all. I cleared all the caches and rebooted. Data and high accuracy are both enabled. I ran GPS Status and there are no satellites registering with wide open view of the sky. Can we simply swap the GPS files like we all did on the Samsung? This seems more like a hardware issue than buggy locking. Thanks! Keith

I get a lock eventually but it goes away especially on maps. It seems to keep a lock on my golf gps once i get a lock. Getting old having to take an extra phone just for gps,
well, I just sensed some time until it gets the lock. after locking the signal, I've found no problems at all. Ingress, plays just fine kudos
Oneplus one GPS problem possible clue OK, I tried the following after every easy fix known. My GPS was never locking. I had no satellite signal what so ever! I pulled the 6 GPS files from the newest CM nightly and over wrote the existing files then rebooted. Cleared the GPS state and cash with no change. I then wiped the device and re-flashed the OPO stable cm11s ROM and started with nothing but GPS Status installed. The GPS worked perfectly. I then reloaded every other previously installed app. Once they were all installed the GPS was again dead. One of my apps is causing a conflict with the location services. I am now installing them one at a time and then testing the GPS. So far I have not identified the culprit. I will post an update when I do. My suspicions lie with one of the root mods like Juice Defender or Greenify. Stay tuned.... This will take a while.
Poor/Broken GPS performance
Hi, The GPS on my Oneplus One appears to be very close to broken after the OTA update to 5.1. My phone is completely stock - ie not rooted, locked bootloader, the whole lot. Everything else on the device works beautifully. I've searched around and it doesn't appear to be a very common problem with this phone. The GPS worked flawlessly on 4.4 and I think on 5.0 (was only on 5.0 for a couple of days before the 5.1 OTA came through). Using GPS test I can see 32 satellites, but it will very, very slowly fix to 7 or 8 and sometimes get a lock, mostly not. Is this something anyone else is finding, or has a fix for? I'm not against rooting and flashing another ROM, it just seems a little overkill when everything else works so well. Thanks in advance for any help...

^^^ Yes, often resetting and downloading new AGPS data can fix this. I use GPS Status & Toolbox.
Thanks guys. "The GPS Fix" app sorted it out. I'm not sure what it actually does behind the scenes but I'm getting a solid lock instantly now. Is this something I'm going to need to do periodically, or after a reboot to keep it working? Cheers...

Did it work well long term? I thought I'd fixed this with the apps mentioned earlier, but it's still pretty poor. 30 seconds plus to fix and then drops out constantly...
Same issue here.. It started after the last update..I travel for business and I use the phone to plan my route.. Last trip had great weather yet horrible drop off. Hasn't gotten any better since..

Hi i have had my ulefone power for around a week now. I have done the update to 201608 everything's working perfect apart from GPS. it seems to struggle to find signal then will loose the gps very easily. does anyone have a solution for this issue please? thanks

I have opened a ticket on their support but the answer is always : " Hello, we are still working on it. Updates will come some days later. Have a nice day!". I send us 3 messages in one month and i'm still waiting from us... Hope they will find a solution quickly ! Bye

I have the same issue. BTW: fingerprint sensor wakes up the device randomly, with no finger on it. LED lights not working even with the newest firmware. For GPS: mobile GSM data are in conflict with GPS. There will be NO WAY how to SW fix this. Returning this device to seller. This is the worst lack of tests prior manufacturing I have ever seen..
Slow internet through WiFi
Hello guys ! I bought Mi Note 10 like 2 - 3 weeks ago and I have an issue with WiFi. So often I have to turn off and turn on wifi to make it work but the connection is excellent so I don't get it. I have checked also at work and was similar but maybe because so many people was using same network. Another thing is can't install updates on google play and sometimes install the apps. On my EE internet there is no issue at all. I'm thinking that I have Note 10 with broken wifi and Will have replace it somehow ? Or maybe make full reset or whatever. Does anybody have this issue as well and is there anything that I can do ? Android 9 MIUI 11.0.13 Greeetzzz Snip3rPolska ??

Question Google meet issues with Poco X5 Pro
Hi All! Been over a month or so that I have purchased and have been using my Poco X5 Pro. One thing I immediately noticed is the google meet issues with the phone. There's a considerable audio delay when I am on the wifi network on any of my meets. Have raised the issue on Google forums for meet as well, but to no avail. The application works fine on mobile data, but I am not in a location where the network is available. So I highly rely on the wifi I have. Additionally, the wifi I have is quite fast and have never faced any issues with the connection of it on other phones while using the meet. I've done all the simple and basic troubleshooting of rebooting and forgetting the network and what not, still no difference. Would love some help and a fix on the same. Edit: I have updated the device twice with the latest system update and and I am still facing the same issue. I'm now on Android 13 and still there seems to be no change. There's still the very noticeable lag. Please help.
