I made the mistake of purchasing an Oppo A3s on an impulse and have just resorted to checking the xda site for updates. Over the last few months, it seems like there may have been some changes to the situation and I wanted to know if this root option was legitimate.

On other threads, it's been stated that one of the later colour os updates allowed unlocking of the bootloader and one user seemed to get it working?
"flash with .zip via install storage, zip flashable, fill it with emmc_appsboot, if you are having trouble getting through Qfill, I've tried oppo and the bootloader is disabled, and it works..."
I've never had to deal with a locked bootloader like this so any help is appreciated. the amount of bloatware on this thing is unbelievable.

I can't help you find root, but I can help you with a method to remove bloatware without root using adb shell.

However, I cannot verify if the fstab is the correct one...

according to the "builder CWM" this recovery would have to go.
I compressions after the. tar.md5, the folder is located odin, CWM, and original recovery, and root.
Not responsible for destroying your phone. Better not try this recovery if you do not get it.

OPPO must have patched it so you might be out of luck. You may be able to downgrade to your previous version if you get the zip to flash in recovery.

When i was rooted i have a back up on my phone under twrp recovery, if i flash my backup i can go back from the way it was before right, but how can i flash twrp if im not rooted? I need twrp to put my phone in previous state. Please tell me if im right. Thanks.

To flash an official rom, color os, you need to use stock recovery.

official recovery is the default recovery and twrp is the official build of twrp for mido .
Official recovery is the official recovery from xiaomi for installing updates , everytime your phone gets an update , it will update without any hiccups but after that you have to again turn on camera2api via this method in order to use google camera.
Can you please make another zip to deactivate the camera 2 api...as i sometimes need the native video calling...so that we can switch between enabling and disabling when needed...thanks in advance.. ?

im aware of installing malware on v235, but in v240 i didnt get any warning related to malware

I know im asking too much can you post a YouTube video on testing the rom,like the nougat rom im using has a bugs like it lags when there are more notifications,does v240 hangs? Is your bootloader unlocked? If not, thats why you can't get TWRP installed correctly.

I knew of it to begin with. I was replying about the issue getting TWRP installed more than I was replying about getting Magisk installed.
Typically, when you install TWRP but the device won't boot into system, it is usually because the bootloader is locked or because the TWRP file is faulty, a faulty file being the cause is far less common than a locked bootloader being the cause. That was really why I replied.

No, that is not as true as you think it is. There are a lot of things that linux can't do when a device has a locked bootloader, stock recovery and no root. Root makes a very big difference in what can and can't be done, linux or no linux.
But with fastboot and an unlocked bootloader, none of that matters, you don't even need linux, just adb/fastboot.

I'm not a developer, I'm just good at figuring out and using things that other people have developed and troubleshooting issues, there really isn't much I can help you with on this subject, but....
If there was a straightforward, all-in-one, everything you need to know guide out there, I would give you some links, but there aren't any guides that are truly thorough enough to teach you what you want to know. Most of the guides are written under the assumption that the reader already has some knowledge of software development and various computer languages and coding, that makes it difficult for someone that is trying to learn.
I would suggest doing a search for:
"XDA University"
There are several threads there that discuss various subjects dealing with android development. Ask questions in the threads that you think will help you learn what you are trying to learn.
Also, do a search for:
"Setting up android build environment"
That will show you the basic setup, but there will be other things that you will need to install, you will figure out the other things as you go along learning where to start, things such as using C++ and Java.

Bro TWRP Or CWM in my Yu Ace...
I also ported mi6a TWRP in Yu Ace, but when I flash it's say The Size of TWRP is Greater than the limit..
