OnePlus 7 Gaming problems - OnePlus 7 Questions & Answers

I just got myself a OnePlus 7. The red variant with 8gb 256gb storage. I come from a Nokia 7 plus.
Everything is fine and I also got the last update right away. No updates to get I checked. My problem is the gaming experience with last generation mobile processor and a top tier mobile gpu along with 8gb of ram is bad. my two games I play mobile legend and smashing four should run smooth or at least much better than my old phone. But is not the case mobile legends is choppy and not smooth and the graphics are not maxed out. and smashing four is a bit better but I feel it's sluggish as well. Both are running with gaming mode and on both I tried fnatic mode. mobile legends I do see a small improvement over gaming mode and smashing four not so much. Why ?
Nokia 7 plus 4gb of ram 660 CPU 14nm with Adreno 512 vs OnePlus 7 8gb ram 855 CPU 7nm with 640 Adreno ... am I missing something?
Thanks in advance for help

Could be some compatibility issues with snapdragon 855. Maybe the games aren't optimized for it now.

Is it meaningful to have 2-cores, 4-cores, or 8-cores in the phone?

I use a phone with single core yet and I managed to buy a new phone recently, do you think it is meaningful to have 2-cores, 4-cores, or 8-cores in the phone?

with the abundance of quad cores nowadays flooding the market, developers and apps would surely catch on optimizing apps to take advantage of
4 cores. As for octa cores, if you're seriously into multi tasking or using your phone/tablet for number crunching, then 8 cores would help.
...
I think today Quad core is must, and even better if it comes with 2GB ram.
The prices keep dropping and if it fits the budget it better.
For the Octa core- I think it's the same stupid race like with the Camera MP - "look!- I have 30MP!"
Strong Quad core with 2GB ram in enough I think.
The Bigger. The Better
I had a dual core phone with half a gig of ram until a few months ago..then i switched to quad core & a gig ram..i really didnt notice much of difference..until last week, when i switched back to my old phone(as it has beautiful AMOLED screen..i just love that)..i realized that my old is quite slow n can't keep up to me speed..
so..there u go..the bigger the better..
Same thing happened in PC industry.
The software, especially video games will use every bit of your cores,no matter how many they are.

totally agree with you! :good:
I think that the Quad-Core cpu is the best, it will works perfectly for years and years (that s my opinion)
But the software optimization is even more important
Sorry for my bad english

Also Which of this phone is best...?
Nexus 4 and Moto G 2nd gen
my Preferences are for Performance Graphics etc, Software updates And Storage. (internal storage i meant. Usable).

[Q] Help Me Decide: Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70 or Samsung Tab Pro 8.4 for Gaming?

Lenovo:
Quad core, 1500 MHz, ARM Cortex-A53, 64-bit cpu,
Mali-T760 MP2
http://www.phonearena.com/phones/Lenovo-TAB-2-A10-70_id9273
Samsung:
Quad-core 2.3 GHz Krait 400
Qualcomm Snapdragon 800
Adreno 330
http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_tab_pro_8_4-5946.php
I currently own both and must return one. My subjective impressions are that the Samsung has much better color balance and runs a little smoother, but oddly, with two different Gameloft games (Spiderman, Nova 3), the textures are noticably less detailed on the Samsung (perhaps a trade off for the Samsung's much higher resolution?)
Based on the specs, which do you think should be better for gaming overall, now and in the future?
I bought a Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70 and I'm rather disappointed in it. The GPU benchmarks are pretty weak, and the killer problem is it maxes out at 720p when streaming video. Otherwise it's a pretty nice tablet but that 720p video problem is super irritating. The only reason I haven't returned it yet is Lenovo is supposedly pushing out a Lollipop update soon and I'm hoping that maybe, just maybe, it'll play better-than-720p video with the update. But I doubt it.
Thanks for responding! Missed this earlier.
I did end up going for the Samsung, mainly because the sound was much better both through speakers and headphones. ATMOS may be a real thing for home theater, but for this tablet it just seemed like a gimmick.

How the 2GB RAM version behaves on PKMN GO?

I have the 1gb RAM version I've been thinking, for some months ago to purchase the 2GB version, because of the extra gb on the ram. Although I want to know if it has any notable lag on Pokemon Go, bc the 1GB has, thx

Yes, there is still noticeable lag... at least compared to phones like the S7 or HTC 10, this is due to the low-end graphics processor and low powered CPU of the Snapdragon 410 more than RAM though.
Honestly, I would just get a Moto G 4th gen at this point, the price point is nearly the same and you get a faster processor with more cores, 2GB RAM, a far superior graphics processor, full HD, 16 or 32 GB of storage, and a gyroscope.

I don't mind not having the giroscope. Only if it's gonna be more fluid (or notable more) than the 1gb version

The game does not play differently or more smoothly between the 1GB and 2GB version of the G 3rd Gen in my experience. I do not have the 1GB version, but my friend who plays does, and the extreme lag when scrolling through Pokemon lists or after you open one and swipe side to side or try to scroll down, is equally evident on both devices... If you are going to get a new device, I would still recommend getting a 4th Gen model.

Thank you, I think I'm staying with the 1gb version :good::good:

Vibe K5 Review

Hello Friends , This is my first post here and i hope i can help you guys
Lenovo Vibe K5
Hello friends
Today I am here to sort the Lenovo Vibe K5
This device is a good cost-benefit but not supporting some heavier games, the battery is too bad (can overheat in a few minutes of use), the camera can handle some things, the available memory is reasonable, have enough RAM memory to support various games, have a good chipset can support heavier games, with Android 5.1.1 operating system with no provision for the update to Android Marshmellow, Fast charging in which the original charger with the hard charging time of 1h-2h depending on usage
He has a Octacore processor (Quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 + Quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A53)
and a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset 616 MSM8939v2 (But in CPU Z appears a Qualcomm SnapDragon chipset 615 1,50Ghz) , he had some FPS drops in heavier games like Asphalt 8 and World Of Tanks Blitz in this case it can not be run on Ultra
he had the following FPS in the following games
WoT Blitz 30fps (medium)
Asphalt 8 27fps
MCSM(Minecraft Story Mode) 40fps
Some games require a lot of heavy battery, and this phone disappoints in this topic, it has a lithium battery with the amperage 2750MaH lasting at most one days with moderate use and 5 hours of use more intensive
The Camera also disappoints, it has a 13 megapixel resolution (back) and 5 megapyxels (front), the camera does not fit in places with little or too much light focus is poor
The phone has 16GB of storage and 2GB of RAM and users can just enjoy eleven gigas (11GB) of this device
Summary:
Mobile is good for games can reach up to 50FPS in some, has expandable internal storage of 16GB to 128GB but may enjoy only 11GB, Camera is bad not adapting well to the environment or not focusing well on the object
