I successfully booted AEX official GSI. Data and wifi wouldn't work though. This was a few weeks back.

Same for me. Tried 3 different ROMs, all the same issue. Tried this a few days ago.

HavocOS GSI was successfully flashed on my sargo
Here is manual - https://source.android.com/setup/build/gsi#flashing-gsis
But I can`t have root and active edge support

Did you try a different kernel? Wifi not working sounds like a kernel issue.

[Q] [HELP] WiFi Not working with Sultan Kernel CM 10.2

So I installed CyanogenMod 10.2 for my rooted HTC Sensation. I fully wiped the phone before flashing the ROM. Then I flashed all of the GAPPS and SuperSU. Then at the end I also flashed Sultan's kernel r44.5 with the aroma installer. Then I reboot my device for the first time with CM. I finished the setup and everything but I realise my wifi wasn't working. I press on and it does nothing except puts the slider on on but it's not working. I try downloading WiFix because some people said it fixed the problem for them. So any suggestions on what I should do?

did you try to flash the boot.img of the rom via fastboot command?
note: by the way why did you flash supersu?
every custom rom comes pre-rooted

Sorry I forgot to mention that part. I always flash the boot.img since I always get bootloops and boot freezes.

Definaltely a problem with the kernel. Tried with ViperS sense 5.0 ROM, still a problem with the WiFi. I completely reflashed the ROM without the custom kernel and WiFi worked... Hm... Any suggestions? I also found out that the kernel tweaks some WiFi options. To be exact it was an update to the WiFi driver from Google's 3.0 kernel. Any way to stop the WiFi tweak?

+ How to flash guide
Please give your feedback on tested Roms. Good luck
I wouldn't mind testing these, as I do have TWRP and have my bootloader unlocked, but correct me if I'm wrong, we lose the squeezing function if we flash any of these correct?

Yep, also the stock camera app might not work well if you manage to install it. That's why I am not in a hurry to test these Roms mainly because this device is my daily driver.

Cool, I will add it to the list. Thanks
Ran v17 of Phh-treble earlier this month to get a taste of stock. It was so close to a daily driver back then.
Camera was a bit of a bummer. They said camera2 api was disabled; enabling it and throwing on google cam just caused crashes on launch. Stock camera was pretty potato but worked.
Apart from that I just had an issue with the vibration motor being a bit strange (a bit too aggressive during taps) and the play store not downloading apps (which appears to be fixed in the latest version).
Bluetooth music also appeared to have random cutouts during playback.
Everything else I used appeared to work. No squeeze feature though.
has anyone tried the PixelExperience rom?
Can anyone please write a guide from scratch ?
Guys,

Did you change the the rom from .zip to .img you need to do that first, if that didn't work try to flash using Adb instead of TWRP.
I have attached a link to the guide, it might help you with troubleshooting.

Let me know if it boots etc.
Gapps are included.
I have been hoping RR would come for the Pixel XL 3 - can't flash it now, am at work - but will give it a shot when I get home tonight - thanks
This didn't boot for me. It flashed fine in twrp and the boot animation came up and ran for a few minutes and then it booted back into twrp. Im going to try flashing a kernel on top and see if it boots.
No luck even after flashing a kernel. Any ideas on how to get it to boot up?

I think this one is GSI ROM, we have separate guide to Flash the ROM.
I strongly not recommend to flash this . Since we are not sure ,who is build and there is no flash guide

How to disable force encryption?

Hey, I'm a bit irritated by the fact that everytime when installing a rom I have to make a full format because of the encryption. Is there a way to permanently disable it?

So I understand that now you don't have to do a full format when switching to a different, but do you still need to install OOS before installing other roms?

From my experience all I did was wipe data once in twrp and then you are good to go flashing any ROM
Will this work for OnePlus 6T as well? I wish to upgrade to an Android 13 custom ROM from the current OOS 11. The device is rooted.

Sorry sir, but most of the users having issue with touch after flashing twrp ana vendor_boot , we have to reboot to recovery for 4 to 5 times for touch working and after reboot it's not working again, that's the problem sir.

Well, that's right, recovery is based on the boot of the global firmware 13.0.4.0
Respectively, and vendor_boot should be taken from this firmware.
I added the ability to backup/flash this section in recovery specifically for customs.
Everything is done right in the recovery, and yes, this recovery works fine on stock firmware 13.0.5.0 and customs based on it.
