I am so irritated. I have recently gone from an iPhone to this OnePlus 7 Pro on T-Mobile.
My push notifications only work on wifi....as soon as I switch it to mobile data, I get nothing. Then as soon as I turn on wifi again, they all pop up.
I have looked online in forums and google. I need them to work on mobile data.
Any suggestions?
Turn off adaptive battery, set important apps u really need notifications for to not optimize battery.

Hi guys,
I've googled with no results and I've tried contacting the devs with no results.
I bought Tasker from the android market with one very important reason;
I want Tasker to turn off my 3G/HSDPA connection and have it switch to GPRS only when I turn the display OFF. And let it switch back to 3G/HSPDA when I turn the display back ON.
Is this even possible, if not what else are my possibilties?
I'm also after this, I currently have it switch off mobile data when screen off, but that's not exactly what I'd like as things like google talk get disabled altogether....just switching down to 3g or less would be great. So "bump" I guess!
So, I'm using JD Ultimate. It works great and I'm now having 60%+ battery left after 15 hours of moderate usage. I have an issue with some alert SMS messages from work where they're over 1KB, so I get the [DOWNLOAD] button. With mobile data off, you can't download them. I'm assuming its because T-Mobile only allows access to those servers to devices registered on their network as a security thing, and that makes sense. Now, when I try to enable mobile data in order to get the entire message, it turns on, connects and then JD immediately turns it back off.
I can't find anywhere in the settings to fix this. Any ideas?
Hopefully this isn't as noobish as it sounds. I am looking for a very specific app, I need an app that turns my 3G network off and turns it on perhaps every hour, just long enough for my e-mail to sync, then turns it off again. I have tried juice defender, which I assume worked but I couldn't test it because it turned the data back on everytime the screen was on. Sometimes I just want my phone to receive texts and calls and leave the data (and the battery) for when I need it.
I found another app, that supposedly didn't turn the network off but changed some verification settings, this app didn't work (I could still browse the internet and refresh email.)
I currently use quick settings in order to quickly turn my data off, but I would like something that did it automatically.
Some help would be nice, if you need any more info let me know.
So, my friend recently got this phone...
Its not even a week since he bought it....
We use WhatsApp Messenger to chat but there is one problem.
His Data Network is always on but when he going to sleep he keeps his Data Network "ON" but it actually goes into something like sleep mode....
My messages don't get delivered to him via WhatsApp.....
It's like every time he turns off his phones display, his Data Network goes onto sleep mode, doesn't matter What time of the day it is......
Does anyone have had this problem before and is there any solution to it?
By default the background data is switched off. You can change it in the setting.

I'm not receiving notifications on my 5 until I wake the screen. I'm on Straight Talk. I use Google Voice for my main number and my other phone that I use gets notifications immediately but not the 5. Email, Google Voice or Facebook. My APN is correct and data works fine. I have researched but can't find any solutions. Anyone else having this problem?
Ok I have noticed that when I wake the phone back up and click the corner for the settings, it shows my signal in orange which i understand now is its not connected to the google servers. It goes back to white after a while and thats when I finally get notifications but is this a phone problem or a Straight Talk problem?
are you on wifi? if so, check wifi sleep policy. sounds like your phone is sleeping your data connection when the screen it off.

No its data only. I don't even have WiFi at home. Yea it does seem like the data issleeping when the screen is off. Is there a setting I'm missing?
Still only getting notifications when I wake the screen or after anywhere from 50 minutes to a 2 hour delay. I don't want to return the phone but this is a deal breaker. Anyone else having this problem?
Guess I'm the only one with this problem. I've tried factory resets. Clearing data and nothing helps. Back to Best Buy tomorrow I guess.
