Hi droiders!
I've developed an android game in 2015 and since then I've reached 2 mln downloads! It is really big success for me. App have change a lot since launch, so I would like to ask you for a review, feedback opinion.
What is poorly implemented in app, what can I add to make it better? Maybe you encountered some crashes, ANRs etc? Every word from you means a lot to me .
Anyway, link:

Hi everyone,
just wanted to show you guys a new app I've been working on for quite some time.
When I started the project I was working on a real-time-strategy-game for android, but creating all the assets took me so much time, that I soon began looking out for good spriting- / pixel-art- / painting- program for my mobile device in order to be able to work on my sprites when on the train or somewhere not in front of my home-computer.
As I was pretty much disappointed with what the market had to offer (no offense against the creator of pixelesque: that app simply didn't exist at that time), I started work on an own program.
It took me a very long time to actually get the app halfway done (because I have been very busy with university and other stuff) but a few days ago I finally released a first version of it and since I am working very hard on improving the app wherever possible.
Youtube announcement video: youtube.com/watch?v=gbw-I6Z-1w0
The app on google play: play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ch.subgate.spritestudio
If you guys like spriting/pixel-art please check out the app, I'd love to hear your feedback/wishes/suggestions.
Thanks in advance.
Features I'm already working on:
- Color palettes
- Mirror-Painting-Mode
- Layer
- Onionskin for animations
- Spritemap autopacking
Nice App / UI could be better...
Hello isam2k,
first of all i would like to let you know that i really think this app is great and you have several fantastic ideas in there. Nice work :good:
From a UI standpoint i think you could improve the overall experience.
For example the Create New Picture pop up dialog. Wouldn't it be nice if you'd offer 3 Icons for (32x32 / 64x54 / Custom)
Users could instantly choose one size and it would take away from making to much decisions out of the box.
I have tons of ideas for you wonderful app. If you like you can pm me.
cheers
David
@Neosushi68
Thanks a lot for your feedback. If you don't mind, just post your ideas right here, maybe others will have good ideas as well and so they can immediately see what already has been suggested.
Offering pre-set sizes as well is actually a good idea, definitively a feature I am going to add (maybe not with buttons but with a spinner offering some presets).
Ok just had a force-close-report from a user. If you guys try out the app and a FC happens, please do not forget to send the report, this helps so much.
If, for some reason, you are unable to send me the report, then please post me the following information here:
[Device][ROM],
[ErrorMsg],
[Random error/Error in response to interaction]
[If interaction -> Describe last interaction]
[If random -> Describe app state (open dialogs, etc)
Thanks in advance.
Sam
Ok was really busy but I finally uploaded Sprite Studio 0.2.1b. This update basically introduces palettes and also comes along with some bugfixes.

Hi all,
I've been developing my game for a couple of years now (you reallly can't underestimate how long these things take when done in your spare time!)
I've finally released it, so would be interested in the feedback of you knowledgeable bunch. The game is called Finger Shepherd and is a sheep herding game with 3D graphics. As you know, there's only so many devices I can test on myself so any bugs / issues / suggestions / feedback would be greatly appreciated.
The package is called "shibby.fingershepherd"; if someone else could post the URL for me I'd be grateful!
Mod Edit: Here you go

Some screenshots attached.
Thanks for any feedback you can provide!
Lewis (Shibby)
good game it's really fun
Nice work! Love it!
Sent from my GT-I9001 using xda premium
This is quite interesting.
And I find that the sheep there are so lovable.
Thanks - much appreciated!
I've had a few comments that the difficulty is too high on some of the water levels. The drop-off rate through the online leaderboards seems to support this, so I'm planning to make a few tweaks...
Finger Shepherd Updated
I have now published an update. Any more feedback, please let me know and I'll work to improve the game
Changelog:
Much needed tweaking of difficulty on a number of levels
Lighting bugfix
Tip display bugfix on smaller screens
Performance optimised on certain devices
You can now unlock one of the minigames by sharing on twitter
The new version is displayed as 1.0.2.
I'd appreciate it if any users here would have a go at enabling Gree and logging some scores to the leaderboards - this uses 3rd party code that could do with as much testing as possible ( much like my own code really )
When screen turns off after you win the game goes to pause menu from which you can only restart or go back to game youve already won. Otherwise very nice game
Hi,
Just letting you know that the game has been updated again! Target times have been adjusted again based on user feedback. Also there is a brand new minigame called "The Maze" waiting for you to play :victory:
Very fun and nice idea ! I had my finger on the screen when it first started it took me by surprise
The game runs smooth and very well, I just noticed that you are allowing the user to change some stuff that as developers we use mostly to debug such as the FPS which in my opinion you can make it (even as a setting) disabled and invisible to the user. Much better UX in my opinion
Also, It worked well on a relatively low end device = ), didn't expect that as it is 3D
Again nice game and well done! Left you a comment on GP for support : )
Really nice game. Looks like all your time and effort paid off.
Thanks folks, I'm chuffed you like the game The feedback is useful and I intend to keep up with the updates.

Thanks for the great review. I started the game (just checked) in April 2011, so it's designed to work on the devices that were popular back then at a minimum.

I'm glad you like it! I'm not totally convinced that it's paid off, however It's so difficult to get downloads - very few per day, and it's on its way down the rankings at the moment. Hard to see where new downloads will come from... It's incredibly competitive in the play store nowadays - might be a different story if I had released it 2 years ago.
Sorry, don't mean to sound too depressed about it! It's been a fun experience developing the game and I'm already thinking about the next one
good game it's really fun
but graphics makes my cry
Hi everyone!
We launched our first android application about week ago. It's Dropozoid game (analogue of existing game for another mobile platform). Nothing special, but helps to spend time well.
I just wonder how popular is such kind of games now and how much sales can we expect without a big ad-investments. And how often does it make sense to make updates? Maybe it would be better to distribute first one for free?
I"ll be appreciate for any suggestions or comments. Thanks!
Hi all!
We're planning updates on next week. It will include:
- separated control of sounds and music
- motion improvements
- attempt to improve images quality for some display types
- post to top-score and connection error handling improvements
I hope these all make Dropozoid little better. Everyone is welcome to get pre-release to try (if you already installed the game, it will be free) - just send request to google+community "dropozoid".
Thank you all for feedbacks.
Hi everybody.
The update is already on market.
Your feedbacks are welcome.
The next update will include buttons to post result to twitter and facebook. Hopefully it will appear in several days.

Hey XDA,
I would like to present to you my very first Android app/game - Moonlight Run.
It is a very simple endless runner game, with 'noir' graphics and only one objective - get as far as possible. You'll meet only two kinds of obstacles and the game speed will increase continuously.
Flappy Bird (the game which I play a lot even today) was a GREAT inspiration for me, as well as the 'noir' styled graphics of Limbo, so I would like to mention these two. Also, the game is written in pure Javascript, so it is not native. However, thanks to the CocoonJS service from Ludei, I was able to bring it to this platform.
Please, let me know about your opinion. I would also like to hear your thoughts about the difficulty, because I have absolutely no clue whether it is difficult or not, as I was playing it for hours through the development process and now it seems incredibly easy to me.

Update 1.0.0:
- minor bug fixes
- app size reduced to less than 50%
Cool game! I think the difficulty is very high, you need quite some time to get a decent score. It's funny that the game insults you when you score something below 10 I also like the graphics very much, the ghosting effect created by the alpha channel pipes is very cool! Will you add Google Play - Games Services Leaderboards?
Thank you very much
Yes, I would like to add the leaderboards in the very near future. Also, the next update will get rid off quite unnecessary permission of getting user's location via mobile data, and I've also found a way to reduce the game size by almost 50%.
Sorry for the insulting though.
Version 1.0.0 is released, I've fixed some minor bugs and reduced the app size to less than 50%.
I would also be very glad, if some of you would be kind enough to try download the game. A friend of mine sent me a screen from Google Play yesterday, saying he is getting an "Package file is not signed properly" error. I tried to download it on my tablet and I got the same error message. Which is strange, because some people actually were able to download and install it. So I re-signed the app with tools from JDK 6, and I would be very happy to hear from you, if you actually can or can not download the game. Thank you very much!
