I've been developing my game for a couple of years now (you reallly can't underestimate how long these things take when done in your spare time!)
I've finally released it, so would be interested in the feedback of you knowledgeable bunch. The game is called Finger Shepherd and is a sheep herding game with 3D graphics. As you know, there's only so many devices I can test on myself so any bugs / issues / suggestions / feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I've had a few comments that the difficulty is too high on some of the water levels. The drop-off rate through the online leaderboards seems to support this, so I'm planning to make a few tweaks...

I'd appreciate it if any users here would have a go at enabling Gree and logging some scores to the leaderboards - this uses 3rd party code that could do with as much testing as possible ( much like my own code really )
When screen turns off after you win the game goes to pause menu from which you can only restart or go back to game youve already won. Otherwise very nice game

Just letting you know that the game has been updated again! Target times have been adjusted again based on user feedback. Also there is a brand new minigame called "The Maze" waiting for you to play :victory:
Very fun and nice idea ! I had my finger on the screen when it first started it took me by surprise
The game runs smooth and very well, I just noticed that you are allowing the user to change some stuff that as developers we use mostly to debug such as the FPS which in my opinion you can make it (even as a setting) disabled and invisible to the user. Much better UX in my opinion

Thanks for the great review. I started the game (just checked) in April 2011, so it's designed to work on the devices that were popular back then at a minimum.

I'm glad you like it! I'm not totally convinced that it's paid off, however It's so difficult to get downloads - very few per day, and it's on its way down the rankings at the moment. Hard to see where new downloads will come from... It's incredibly competitive in the play store nowadays - might be a different story if I had released it 2 years ago.
Sorry, don't mean to sound too depressed about it! It's been a fun experience developing the game and I'm already thinking about the next one

Hello guys,
Soupe au caillou (means "Stone Soup" in english) is a french team of development. Our goal is to make quality games because there is a lack on android.
So our first game is called Heriswap, available on the store in english or french. It's a match3 game in which sound track and graphics are polished up.
Everyone can play it, including children or cats and at the same time hardcore player can play&compare each other with Openfeint !

I tried your game, and I must congratulate you on your choices of colors and simple/beautiful and clean graphics. Music too is really pleasing on ears.
Here are a few suggestions that I have:
- When I get stuck I should be shown a hint. Because sometimes you know just cant find the pattern and thus game becomes slow.
- There should be some powers like special leafs etc and/or when we collect 4 or 5 together.
Maybe I should give it a try lol.

Hello, we made our probably last update for Heriswap yesterday !
We added a "highlighter" at the end of the game which is showing one remaining combination.
Fixed bugs on restore (it shouldn't bug anymore including ICS).
Optimizing some things.
We are now working around our next game, but let me know your feedbacks for a potential update perhaps !

The last update took a little (big) more time to end up, but here it is : final version of heriswap (excepts bug corrections) is there!
We added a hint when you get stuck (vihag we listened to you ), plus one more gamemode and an intermediate difficulty.

So, after intensive talking with the developer we will get Xperia Play controls. Don´t know if it´s a seperate version or integrated in the version i´ve bought.
If anyone is interested in this game and wants to improve the experience with this game please email the devs. They are really nice and if you give constructive feedback, they will implement the suggestions you made. :good:

Yes, i recommended the devs to use the touchpads. The only problem is that they don´t have a Xperia Play for testing purpose. So we must play Beta testers and give them advices when something isn´t working right.:silly: But hey, they do it!
i'm available to beta test anything if it's about optimization hehe. There are links from sony about touchpads anyway. I sent them to the aralon team and the realms of fortune developer. You can find them via XperiaPlayGamer, from the "how to optimize" page to the sony site to the touchpad articles.
by the way, the camera in this game is kinda awful since you just can't control it. It slowly adjusts itself behind the character each time. So heh

So i got a test apk from the dev and i´ve tested the controls. It works good. You use X,Square and Triangle for sword attack. Circle is for a fireball attack. D-pad is used for moving. Left Trigger to run, Right Trigger to sneak.
However, the game does not use touchpads at the moment. I recommended the Zeus developer to the dev for touchpad controls. If anyone is here who wants to help out or has experience with touchpads controls please email the dev! If you want test apk, please also email the dev since i´m not allowed to distribute it. Please give feedback!
Free Camera patch comes this week.Also recommended them to implement the controls, game launcher support, as fast as possible.

Hello mate. As I was testing the game and did not like. The simple graphics, design in general and of the enemies is very rough, but if the color is good. The control is very rough, the camera is insane, the gameplay is very simple button mashing and sometimes you miss the enemy, or animations of the attacks are bad. No enemies stop coming all the time and the game lacks depth, and which go somewhere, something more adventurous.
No, that's the impression I gave. Maybe I felt bad but after playing the fabulous Aralon ... hehe. Granted it has a good base and if she could work more on anything good. Anyway it is appreciated that the control pad adapted xperia.
I have read that have improved the camera, so I'll try again to see such. (I uninstalled)

I agree with you Gtsito, there is room for improvments. The camera isn´t good and it´s annoying that a lot of enemies spawn at the beginning of a level and after that there aren´t a lot them. Maybe they can improve more.
Also, the developer says that a lot of fixes and optimations will come till saturday. So stay tuned and check Play Store for more updates.
Oh, good news. Actually I played the first version released and uninstalled it knowing that would come out more updates. Then I will consider further improvements and prove it.

yep it is better now with the gamepad and it responds better than the test version
the test apk had a fireball attack and 3 sword attacks,no fireball or maybe its later on...this one has 4 sword attacks
also the camera is still and doesn't rotate ,or i did not figure how to do it from the game
i like the 4 sword animations and would like to see some kind of chain combo animation with the button layout

For reasons I don't fully understand (well, anti-spam policy), I couldn't post any link or pictures, so thanks a lot @kirito9 for adding the link.
About the 9gags comments, well, I'm an avid 9gagger (it ruins 1 hour of my sleep every night...), so I decided to show off my game to the community and ask them for update's material suggestion. And I got a LOT of ideas coming from it:

I must say the idea is a bit overused, but I really liked the graphics. A lot.
When I played it I failed to see some type of qualitative progression. A great improvement would be to change the scenes dynamically as if they were levels (sky then sea then land then volcanoes then...) but it might take you a lot to add many scenarios with other objects than rocks. Maybe with other landscapes you can add moving objects and increase the variety.
Meanwhile, if Unity supports tilt movement you can add it.

@randomlabs Thanks. For sure, the concept isn't new. It's really really close to a "Race the Sun" for example, but I wanted the environments a bit more real, less etheric.
I plan on adding more environments and planes. A "story" mode, where you have to finish all levels in a row with at least 2000 points is a very good idea. I'll consider that kind of udpate.

First off, I think the styling is excellent with that rune-styled W as the icon. Eye catching - which is what you want in the Play Store.
I also like the stark, completely black interface & I think I'd look at going full-screen and rolling your own widgets in keeping with the rest of your UI.
Some kind of hint/bypass system might be needed; I won't admit which level I'm stuck on (hint: A low number...) but I think there are some levels some people just won't crack.
