Volume button randomly not working? - OnePlus 7 Pro Questions & Answers

Hi. Has anyone ever encountered this problem on their oneplus 7pro? I noticed that at times the buttons don't do anything. It doesn't occur that often, probably once a week.. Usually resolve after restarting the phone.
I'm running OS latest update 9.5.10, unrooted. Bootloader still locked.

Raphael Auto-Restart Issue

Hey guys. I'm running NFSFAN 0111 on my CDMA Raphael, and I've come across the strangest problem. The phone had been freezing pretty regularly for a couple days and then it started resetting itself. Basically, I start it up and ~30 seconds later it vibrates (indicating the restart). Sometimes it even goes black and completely unresponsive to me pushing the power button. I saw a thread below with a similar problem (but it was completely gone), so my question is if this is a hardware problem or a software problem (since I'm running NFSFAN, not Energy). Also, I would update but I'm concerned that it will restart during the update and brick itself. Any suggestions? Thanks.
I've had this exact problem this past weekend... Automatically restarting and freezing...
I think it might be power/gps related.
I would hard reset and flash back to stock ROM , then flash back to NATF or whatever.

[Q] bug black screen

Hi,
I have android 4.4.4 with cyanogenmod 11.0 (multirom) installed on my oneplus one:
Regularly, I have the bug that my screen goes 'down' = black screen.
If I push on the power button, it appears again for 1 second, but then it goes away again.
Sometimes, I have to repeat this 10 times and then it is OK again for an hour and then again the same problems.
Very annoying !
Same when trying to unlock, I got my unlocked screen, but then it turns black again,
got to press on power button, I have the unlocked screen for 1 second and goes black again.
I guessed it had something to do with my security locking interval, but after setting it to 10 minutes, I still got the same issues?
Anyone the same problem?
same here
Hi miss.artemis,
I'm also experiencing the same problem. Neither the locking interval setting nor the sleep mode interval setting are doing any good.
This doesn't happen all the time, but is very annoying when it does. I couldn't watch an episode of TV show for more than 10 minutes before the bug occurred.
Have you by any chance found solution since you reported the problem? Could anyone else help us?
Thanks,
Alldorin

[Q] OnePlus One won't wake up from sleep

As the title states, occasionally my screen won't wake up from sleep and the only way to turn it back on is to hold the power button down until it reboots. It seems that it happens when I leave the phone in sleep mode for an hour or two. I've been using the OnePlus one for only half a day and I've already encountered this problem twice. Is there a way to fix this?
Update your ROM, do a factory reset or flash a different ROM.
There's really no way of telling what's causing it with the info you've given but one of the above will most likely solve your problem.
I am having the same issue
It happened even when i flashed it to Paranoid android, and my rear camera and microphone aren't working. I got my phone from another place so OPO won't help me fix it
I bought my Oneplus One in India with CM11S stock unrooted and unmodified November build and i have the same problem.
The LEDs on the keys will ligh up but the screen wont wake up on both double tap to wake or power/lock/unlock button.
I had the same problem yesterday even on stock CM11 I went into my CWM recovery and just did a complete wipe and that fixed my problem. I believe in TWRP DO NOT WIPE SYSTEM

[lollipop 5.0.1] random reboot while on lockscreen

Hi there, i'm facing a strange problem since two days with my device ( I have stock rom and kernel with 5.0.1 LRX22C , rooted, unlocked and with cwm recovery).
It happens that when i push shutdown button for lock screen, screen shout down, and immediately turn on (in lock screen). So i need to push again shutdown button for switch off screen (sometimes i need to push it multiple times). Then, when i try to switch on screen for unlock device, the shutdown popup appear on my lockscreen, and sometimes device automatically reboot (and sometimes goes on bootloop).
It happen also that if after shutdown popup appear device doesn't reboot, my phone reboot when i'm using it (after few minutes).
I've already try to:
-clean cache
-clean dalvik cache (and it's strange that cwm has this option on nexus 5, that have art)
-factory data reset
I'm excluding (for now) an hardware problem, because this issue doesn't happen always, but randomly during the days.
Could be a lollipop 5.0.1 software issue that someone has already encountered that could be fixed in some ways?
because i'm planning to resale in few months my devices for take a nexus 6, and i don't want sell a device with an hardware problem.
thanks to all
Power button is sometimes getting stuck. Eventually it'll be completely stuck and be held down forever until fixed. A lot of people have had this issue all of a sudden.

Yes. Something in the power button mechanism is stuck/broken.
but it's strange. Many people had this problem after lollipop upgrade..
so, if is an hardware problem, i just need to clean the internal switch (esternal button it's not blocked into a strange position or something else), or i need to change entire internal button?

Hardware has nothing to do with Lollipop. Might just be that a couple people have had their device for over a year and issues are starting to pop up for them.
Not sure what part of the button is the issue here, haven't had such problems myself.

Phone (Mi Mix 2s) stuck in restarting loop

My phone is stuck in a restarting loop - it generally boots up to the MI logo screen, but then only maybe 10% of the time is it able to move on to the Android loading screen and subsequently the home/passcode screen. Even if it gets to those points though, the phone often just reboots itself anyway or acts as if the power button is constantly being randomly pressed. When on the MI logo screen, I am sometimes able to access the startup options menu or the Android fastboot screen by pressing volume up/down respectively, but neither of these seem to offer any useful options. I haven't been able to backup the phone either because the update isn't available to download for some reason.
When the restarting issue first started happening about a month ago, it usually restarted 2/3 times and then would work fine after that, but has progressively gotten worse to the point where it is currently unusable. What can I do to fix the problem? The MI customer service line said it was most likely a software issue, but were unable to help me in actually identifying the problem.
Check the power on/off button.

This happened to me 2 days ago and I couldn't fix it even with the Miui recovery suite. I ended up just switching to a custom rom to avoid it happening again.

Would you be able to explain a little more? I'm not really very tech-savvy so I wouldn't know how to go about switching to a custom rom (I'm not entirely certain what it is actually). And has this fully worked for you so far?

If you're reasonably sure it's a software issue and want to try something else, I would strongly recommend the xiaomi.eu MIUI 11 rom. It's very similar to the stock software anyway and runs very well on the Mix 2S. To switch, you'll need to root though, which involves unlocking your bootloader, installing ADB on your desktop, and using a command line to flash a custom recovery (TWRP), then flashing the software. It probably sounds daunting if you haven't done it before, but it's really just a case of following instructions. I did it on a Mix 2S a few days ago and it didn't take long (although I already had the ADB tooling installed).
Hey guys, I've been having the same problem for a while.
I'm in stock rom, locked bootloader... Tried to update from Miui 10 to 11, and did a factory reset.
But it keeps happening randomly.
Would changing to a custom ROM fix it?

I think it might be a hardware issue...
Could you give more details about what to check?
